Volkswagen Lupo. Yes, even the base models, not just GTI. GTI is even better, though.

The thing is, these were never officially imported to Finland, so the first time I saw one was in GT4, I liked the way it looked and the fact that you couldn't just take a walk and see one. The feeling of rarity is gone, as I've had few trips to central Europe where these aren't that hard to find, but I haven't stopped liking them.

Whilst flicking through this thread I've realised I actually like most of the cars here.

So to add to the love, here's one of my guilty pleasures, the babe repellent that is the Fiat X1/9:

You can tell she's not happy in that pic.

the seats are folded forward... why?

To keep the seat back and bottom out of the sun, so the driver & passenger don't fry their butts when it is time to drive home.
Kinda makes sense

Especially in a skimpy bikini.

Words cannot describe how much I craved a Matra Rancho when I was young... and even now. :D

I would imagine it was this. I had a Morris Minor convertible and if I didn't do that after a day at the beach my legs would weld themselves into the vinyl.

This^

I know i shouldn't but i do really like the look of these awful motor cars, (especially in 3 door).

Austin Allegro.
Yay! I learnt to drive in a blue MK2 Allegro. Giugiaro actually had a hand in the styling which you can tell by the balanced proportions. Built better than many people give them credit for too as you still see a few knocking around today.

We always state how awful the Chinese car industry is for copying other models and getting away with it but it's equally shameless how much the first Land Rover Discovery looks like a Matra Rancho. And there was a twelve year gap between them.

True. I remember reading something along those lines recently. Also, shocking Rancho fact #1: As of today there are only four registered Ranchos remaining in the UK!

My next is the Dacia Logan pickup:

Oh bloody hell NO. I have enough first hand experience about the Logan Van that I'd happily pile the entire production up in one big heap and blow them to smithereens just to prevent anyone else from suffering behind the wheel ever again. Seriously, my '92 Volvo 240 estate drives better and also performs better with all of its 116 bhp. And it does it while being a lot more comfortable.

Having said that I'd actually like a small(ish) pickup myself, preferably RWD/AWD, two seats and a two metre bed. Hard to imagine a more useful combination for a mountain biker living in Finland where winter lasts for nearly half a year in one form or another.
