So you don't want the mirrors for the Civic now Cody?

Probably not so much.

As for the compliments, thanks guys. Might take the car out for a few runs tomorrow at autocross, having gone under the car and seen that the subframe is fully intact and so on. The seal between the drive shaft and transmission needs to be replaced soon though, as it is leaking a bit.

From that photo shoot, some more pictures by me...

The background on that last one makes the car look a little goofy, but it's a great looking car other than that! 👍

Yeah... emissions regs sap power like crazy...

The power difference between the US-spec and 'Euro-spec' (i.e. rest of the world-spec) was primarily a cost, not emissions related move. The US version of the motor was much cheaper to build and allowed BMW to price the car very aggressively in the USA (and later, Canada).

The two motors have very little in common besides the cast iron block, capacity and basic architecture.

Nice pics, Azure 👍

Cody, what's with those goofy blue blinker bulbs? Get some proper amber bulbs, stat. Five bucks at Autozone.

My plan is to get Amber corners, like, the housing, and trade my tail lights with my room mate, since his have the orange turn signals and mine are clear.

You also need to call up Ohlins and get you some. And a huge front lip. And that cool big giant spoiler for the back. And then flare the wheel wells and slap some 265s under there, front and rear. That's meaty.

Or be cool and do lots of stuff like this guy.

His Dragon video has been on my Myspace forever now. He's got other track vids too. I'll show you one of those since he did in fact break one of the unwritten rules of the Dragon.

But Cody, you've gotta see the Dragon video. That M3 is baller fast.

So it's not just a "cams and reflash" thing? Bummer.

Oh... and a belated congrats, Azureman... nice car. 👍

Very much not the case, sadly. On the plus side, the engine responds well to forced induction, so there maybe a supercharger added some where down the road.

Also, thanks for the compliments on the car. It does have its flaws, such as a very very small ding on a fender and some rock chips and little bit of damage to the rear bumper. But most of it can be fixed with a bit of touch of paint and a clean wax and buff.

I'm still amazed at all the things this car does well, from controls to the handling to the power delivery. Driving the MR-S is simply underwhelming now, and the lack of power is painfully obvious at this point.

I'm assuming that's not the baseball David Ortiz.

I did pretty much the same thing the one time I washed my car over Christmas break. Although instead of dirt drifting, I was out mud puddle hunting.

Turboooo the MR-Ssssss...

Ah... you'll get used to it. The joy of not having had a media test-unit for the past two or three months (at least not one with a real engine) is that my personal car is starting to feel fast, again...

But even when we were spinning up in 300+ hp cars, I never really felt shortchanged by my daily driver... big power is not what it was meant for... though it does have more in the way of modifications and power than your MR-S does.

+1 to the turbo MR-S. You can get big power out of them although I agree that much like the 86, outright power isn't the point of the car.

And there's no way I'd ever go out on dirt roads after washing my car.
