Yes, we've gathered in the three or four times you've repeated it. And several people have disagreed, yet you continue to try to get the last word in with out adding anything further.

I like my grills black (though it is really a dark metallic that has contrast in the sun from the rest of the inside of the grill), you like your car with an automatic. Different strokes for different folks.

I could edit some more tomorrow and post, oh, I dunno, some of the 3000 thousand pictures of various cars, including mine own, that I've taken in the last month.

Yes, I love my BMW. Yes, I can not repeat how much I love this car. But honestly, you talk about modding your TL to be a track day car, when it is an automatic, FWD sedan, that at best is a Grand Tourer. You talk about supercharging a car like it is beyond crazy weird and that your TL Type-S is a truly unique car, and that the work going into developing a supercharger for it is some how different than the work going into any other car that is new.

I really am failing to understand why my enjoyment of my latest purchase is bothering you so much. Unless you are somewhat jealous or envious?

The cheap shot isn't so much a cheap shot as it is a fact - you talk about prepping a 3500 pound sedan for racing, when it is a automatic that is considered the softer, cheaper alternative to a Lexus. I've done nothing but point out what you yourself have stated on the forum. All I do is dig up the very words and statements you've made and repeat them for you to read.

Personally, I like hearing what gets done to the various cars on GTP, no matter how small an update it is. The TL gets a new exhaust, cool. Azure gets the M3 and becomes a fanboy who can't stop posting about how much he loves the thing, cool. So on and so forth. If someone doesn't like seeing/reading about a given car, they should do as was mentioned before and just ignore it.

I have nothing against him or his car. I just do not care for what he's done to it so far, stating why I think so & what color I think it would be better with. The insults against my photography & such are just low blows that have nothing to do with the conversation. I've heard worse from the web, so I really don't care.

But, when I tell him to enjoy his car, that I do mean. I had a M3 once, and like M-Spec, I regret letting it go. I still enjoy my 5 very much though. And despite what I think of the 2 current "mods", it is his car and he's free to do what he wants. I've been a loyal BMW owner for a few years now, & I know how he probably feels about it. The difference may be that I wasn't web-savy when I got my first one.

Plexi (the DuPont name for acrylic) comes in any extruded thickness, not to mention you can easily cast it to any form or gauge you want. It's not all the 60-thou stuff, 1/4 inch can easily hold auto-x downforce amounts.

I don't think Cody's mods are pointless at all, they are an inexpensive and easy way to change the look of his car. It makes his car more unique then a standard M3 without having to dish out a bunch of cash, I can't fault someone for that.

Oh and I like how you posted the picture of the M3 with green rims....and the cheeky thread title.

For people with relatively "grown-up" cars there's certainly a lot of growing up that needs to be done around here.

From a personal point of view, I'm quite interested in seeing the progress of the M3. I'm not keen on the painted rims and kidneys, but I still like the car and I'm sure future mods will be more to my taste. Looking forward to the next wheels if the current ones are going to be for the track 👍

Also, I'm totally in the "don't care for black kidneys and wheels" boat. The Germans wanted the car bright and shiny; who are we to question their judgement?

You weren't trying to sound correct. You were trying to use the car's stats in an attempt to say it isn't possible and to insult it. Fortunately, Honda's Engineering Team has proved the TL is more than capable for track racing.
