I *finally* cleared Cote D'Azur last night using a 2J. MUCH better car to use than the Toyota 7, which for some reason accelerates like a pregnant hippo, despite its power/weight ratio.

Took the lead on lap 2, and was easily 10+ seconds/lap faster than the rest of the field.

I used the Toyota 7 (no mods) on both races. I used my #2 bob which is now lvl 12. Was lvl 11 when i started. First race went without a hitch. Monaco was a pain in the a**! I also tried using my #1 lvl 20 bob, but he constantly tried to overtake on the INSIDE after the tunnel, We all know how that goes... Eventualy secondary bob got the win. The trick for me was to nag on him to overtake as many as possible on the first lap. I had to babysit him the entire race but he did alright.

It's about the timing on over takes, put it on first-person view while bob is driving, overtake at the straight uphill line after the first corner, mid-pace on all corners and you should be in first place by 3rd lap or maybe even earlier. It's about managing your bob I think.

On the Deep Forest map, Bob struggled all the way until the final corner to the finishing straight.. Overtook the 1st place 2J Chappa there... And won by 0.848 seconds. Before I decided to tune my car.

Hah.. My Bob destroyed everyone at Côte d' Azur... Won by 1 min and 9 seconds... Gotta love how to tune cars :D Still a lvl 14 driver ;)

EDIT: Oh, and I used the 2J Chaparral fully maxed out and custom tuned.

My Bob won both races, first time in the Toyota 7. But i did leave it till he was level 25 before i trusted him enough to let him out there. And it took an age for a Toyota 7 to come up in the used cars. The thing with the toyota though hp that the max speed is only 170 on the default settings. So you need to put that up quite a bit. Otherwise you will be on the rev limiter well before the end of the start finish straight. So a decent Bob and some minor tuning seems to be the way forward.

I won both Historic races in B Spec with the Chapparal 2D. Wasn't easy, but it's possible.

Ditto ... my bob's only level 13 and he won both races on his 2nd or 3rd attempt.

I found i had to work the system a lot more in these 2 races a lot more ....

I was thinking i wouldn't win the Monaco race but found it good to let bob have a rest when going for 1st place (against a 2J) .... i'd let him hang back for a lap (using slow-down and then maintain) ... give him a full lap or so and then use an increase pace at a spot i noticed bob was faster in and then he'd go for the pass.

My 'win' came on the last lap .... i'd got into 2nd by lap 2 or 3 and then spent the rest trying to get past the 2J .... in the end i let him hang back for well over a lap and then pushed him around the swimming pool section so he was close going into start-finish .... i then used increase again going into turn 1 and at the crown of the hill the 2J over cooked it a bit .... i hit overtake and bob did a superb move on the 2J and took the lead.... it was tense to make him stay 1 for that lap then....

Was most fun i'd had in b-spec!

Used the Toyota 7. Had to get the right group of cars first off and from there it took me about 6 times and some management/luck to win it.

Won the historic race with the 2J
Spec b driver didn't struggle at all as long as you pushed him to speed up and overtake in first minute or so, also make sure Toyota wasn't in front from start

Use the Jag XJ13 - you don't even need full tune...
in cote keep hitting overtake until he's 1st and then let his temperament come down a bit...should be fine, worked for me...

I just done it, edited them settings a bit, stiffen the chassis up, and toe the wheels in rather than out, thats what makes it hit the barrier i found.

stiffen the suspension up by lowering it, and the dampers.

LSD 20/30/30

Ride Hight F-29 R -28
Spring Rate F12.8 R12.8
Dampers E F8 R8
Dampers C F4 R4
Anti Roll Bars F7 R7

Camber F1.0 R1.5
Toe F0.25 R0.15

Need to keep an eye on him, he over took first on the 7th lap.

Good Luck :)

Deep forest is easy, keep the same settings and ad 180 MPH to the gear ratio.

Dude, you are the man! I won first time around with this setup. I was in 1st on Cote by the second lap! Thank you for the tune!👍👍

i am using 2j moded in cote d azur, tyre medium, bob lv 28, transmission setting 280km/h, got 1st place on 2nd lap..i am using toyota 7 before and i never win the race

Finally I've beaten this event after a couple of temps. I used the Toyota 7 race car and used the settings above and works like a charm :) The event was a pain but finally did It.

Did this with the Toyota 7 with relative ease. My bob is level 21. Absolutely no mods on the car except an oil change. Just left the default settings including the gearing and cranked up the downforce front and back to max. Walked the field in Deep Forest but took me 2 tries on Monaco....bob has a habit of smacking the wall after the tunnel. Make sure he's not buried in the red when coming up to this part. The 2 Chapparals in this race both crapped the bed and spun early in the race. Methinks that has to happen in order to win. FYI.

Used this tune to win it on the first try with my LVL 16 hot Bob. Plus I forgot to check the tires and was previously using the stock racing hards. Tune and tires took my Bob from his previous best 7th to 1st with no problems. Thanks!

Your welcome...

Just finished this one in second place...after being in second place for seven of eight laps. Quite frustrating.

How has anyone completed this?

I have the first race done but I cannot win the cote d'azur race even with the toyota 7 race car. Either I am at the back of the field by the first lap with the 2J miles ahead or there's a big pileup of cars on the last chicane before the finish line.

My driver is level 23 yet this race cannot be done.

I won by or sorry I destroyed it by using my 67 Chaparral 2D Race Car... Its not the fastest in the straights but set up right its untouchable around the turns. I got an extra if anyone needs one? Let me know

I thought the Côte d'Azur was going to be the tough one in B-Spec, but Deep Forest gave me the most challenge.
After several attempts finally won, but also picked up the trophy for ""Within One Hundredth" winning less than .01 of a second.

I know this video is old but it was a very exciting finish. Which, as much bad as can be said for bob-spec, is one of the things I like about this mode. In a-spec there aren't nearly as many good races because we tend to smash and corner-cut our way into first and then smoke everyone or block faster traffic. Unless bob is just way overpowered he races realistically, avoiding crashes and trying to take lines and be careful. He also drafts and waits for realistic passing opportunities, at least from what I've seen.

I've had several b-spec races that I enjoyed watching as much as I'd enjoy a real race, and I have a feeling this historic race is going to be one of them, though I haven't gotten there yet.

Beat it in a-spec with a 63 vette. Probably will never do that with Bob...

You can have an exciting finish or a close race just as much in A-spec then in B-spec.... Just race with an even car that the computers use? I see these types of comment all the time how people don't like A-spec because there not even. I just think to myself eh you control the race, if you want it to be challenging then use a car that doesn't have 300 more hp then what the computer is using & don't cut any corners. 💡 Ill admit most of the A-spec races I did I had a better car. But personally I don't care & just wanna beat this game as quick as I can. Then Ill go back & do some evenly matched runs & see how I do

Well, after trying this 1000 times with the toyota 7, i eventually managed it 2nd time with the XJ13 with the suspension settings of the 7... Won by 10secs

try this from a earlier post i made...using a Toyota 7

Aero: Max front and rear
Turbo: Stage 3
Transmission/top speed: 186
LSD: 10, 25, 15

Suspension:
Ride height: -25, -25
Spring rate: 16, 18.5
Dampers E: 8, 7
Dampers C: 8, 7
Anti roll bars: 5, 7
Camber: 3.5, 2.1
Toe angle: 0.0, -.30
Brake: 7, 4

Hope this helps...if not play around with the settings a lil till it works...now im going to see what car ive won!! Yay

Oh, yeah

My bob is a lvl 23..

I made it with a turbo-tuned Jaguar XJ13, lowered ride height, and some camber (-2.0 on each).
My Bob was level 11 (2nd one).

Would the ford GT40 race car '69 be a better car to use or the Jag XJ13? Or should i just wait until i get the Toyota 7 later on in bspec. Im not quite to the historic cup yet was looking for some opinions

I was able to win this race using the Jag XJ13, which I won by completing the aspec Indy 500. Its a great car. The cockpit view is awesome.

it would be better if u had a 2J...if not the 2J, i would recomend the 7....but if you have the XJ13 then by all means use it...the GT40 is least likely to win
