Setup untouched.
With the maximum-grade tires allowed and a stage-3 turbo even the most useless Bob can do it... 👍

PD: But I can't hahahaha it's a shameeee
Then explain why he always hits the wall before the chicane?

I beat it using a Toyota 7 with maximum allowed tires, but 100 % untuned. My driver is level 40 though, high tempered.

It still took me 3 tries, though.

Tell him to cool down right as he clears that right hand corner and goes into the tunnel. He should also be cooling down just through that last set of corners, otherwise he'll crash into that chicane just before the start/finish line also. Everywhere else, he should be on overtake.

Also go with racing medium tires, the mid-range turbo kit and the transmission at about 155 mph. The Toyota 7 is a dog in low gear which makes this kind of tuning a necessity.

Notes
Always keep your Bob cool or he'll crash. When I mean cool I mean the bar cannot go further left.

Toyota 7 worked for me as well at Monaco ... keep Bob cool for the bendy bits, and speed up only for the straights. The Toyota 7 also won me the bpsec the Like the Wind Indy event, but you need some luck with AI racers getting stuck behind back markers towards end of race.

Before I got the Toyota, I managed to get silver with a tuned Lambo at Monaco ... got lucky one time with the AI racers crashing ... but it was hard work!

Just pace him down as he is going through the tunnel, he can't be at max or else he will crash for certain. A 2J will put the rest of the field to shame.

Borrowed 2J just got the job done for me. Race looked like a lost cause, 'cause my guy clipped the wall at the chicane on lap 7. Fortunately the AI Bob driving the other 2J slacked off in lap 8, so my guy was able to catch and pass him at Lowe's. Happy days ... which got happier still when, in addition to the Alfa for winning Historic, the Lvl 17 ticket I got for clearing B-Spec Expert turned into a '69 GT40. A very lucrative 8 minutes, that was.

Bob is doing what he's doing best-being a retard and running into walls.

What's the best car for cote d' azur? The Toyota 7 doesn't cut it as bob is too idiotic to use the accelerator pedal and pass the other racers, or just runs into a wall on the 4th-5th lap.

Trying to catch up on my b-spec events, and Mr. Fassbinder at level 32 still can't drive -_-

Toyota 7 does cut it. I won by 15 seconds with it in B-Spec.

No, it most certainly does not. Your Bob won it, but results very definitely do vary. I can guaranbloodytee that from my personal experience with the exact same thing. There's actually no room at all to debate this. It's not a matter of opinion or belief, but of unquestionable fact. Some players have it work out for them and some very definitely do not, no matter what they do.

My level 22 Bob (give or take a level) tried Cotex Diaper several times with a Toyota 7. The Toyota 7 had an oil change and every available upgrade. I tried it with a default tune on several occasions and tried various tuning setups I found online and Bob couldn't win with any of them, no matter how I instructed him to run. He always ate the armco at the Nouvelle Chicane on almost every lap. The only way I could get him to stop doing this is to run him ice-cold, at which point he was so friggin' slow that he fell to the back. If I ran him warm enough to half-way keep pace with the front-runners, he ate the armco almost every time he went through that chicane.

The Toyota 7 does cut it for some players, but not for all. My Bob never won it until I gave him the 2J. I instructed him with the 2J exactly like I did with the Toyota 7 and he won with a minute lead over the 2J running in second place. He never ate the wall once with the 2J, but almost always ate it with the Toyota 7.

My bob do it solo in toyota 7. First he loose when i give he orders. Then i try again. Whatching tv on the while. It was just luck. Ten or twenty times i tried it before bob wins. I really love my Alfa. My bob was level 30. I like him too now more than before. :)

Now he is doing 9hours in tsukuba. I was little disapoint because there is no pit crew.

Amen, I'm have the EXACT same problem. On about my 12th try, the dummy finally got all the way up to 2nd. I've prepped him the whole lap to cool down so he doesn't that eat chicance and what do you know, he completely biffs it trying to pass first and I was literally yelling in my seat for him not to.

I haven't tried it since.

So the real question is, can I win a series to get the 2J, or is only in the UCD?

I tried many times before I got it...

I did it with Camaro 69 RM for A Spec, my Bob did it with an XJ13. Sorry can't remember the set up it was a while ago!

Cotex Diaper - is that humour or a spell checker? Either way lol!

hi all
did mine in the toyota 7, struggled at first until i read another post which said to keep reloading until the chap 2j is behind you on the grid did this and won at the first attempt the chap 2j finished second last with the other toyota 7 last only had to fight of the jag and the ferrari
all the best to you and yours
ninja

I also used the Toyota 7.the first race wan't a problem but the second was a tragedy.
alway hitting the wall after the tunnel and before strat/finish...

came back when my bob was lvl23 and won easy :D

I had trouble with this for ages, tried a few cars, toyota 7, countach, XJ13 and some others. In the end I done it on my second attempt with a Chapparel 2D. All standard settings but top speed was around 180mph mark and on racing mediums and all the best tuning upgrades available. I used a cool Bob and paced up round the whole track except start pacing down just before that very tight left hand turn once then again as you go flying down straight before the sharp S chicane or you will hit the wall and spin round. Also pace down before you hit the last corner before the main straight as he likes to hit the wall there too sometimes. Once you're in the lead keep an eye on him and keep the pace up.

Phew!
Just won the Cote with the Toyota 7 racer. 9th times it took and boy was I relieved....
Downforce the back end to the max, some ballast to the backend and top speed of 230kmh.

Reduce speeds after tunnel and before the main straight. I won the race by 9 secs...

I have tried that race in B-spec with the Toyota 7 several times and the following tips should help:
  • Max out everything.
  • Tune down force to max both ends.
  • Tune break to 1:1
  • Restart the race until you don't get the Chaparal 2J '70 in front of you.
  • Make sure the driver you use is in good form (blue/green arrow, not orange). Preferably use a hot driver as well.
  • Make sure you tell the driver to increase pace before the race. That will give him a clean start which is essential.
  • Do not hammer "overtake" at the start though it is very tempting to do so. There are too many cars close to each other, they will block you. Only choose overtake if it's clean in front. Choose increase pace. Make sure the driver is hot.
  • Do NOT tell the driver to overtake before the very tight corner which a human driver can cut but the AI will very diligently follow. Otherwise, you will end up hitting the bank and can't make it.

I finally beat it after about 30 tries with the Toyota... Well 2 tries with the Toyota, the rest with the 2j. The race i finally one was actually funny. I kept entering and exiting until there were no 2js in front of me. It was actually right behind me.... First lap... The 2j slammed into the wall sideways and got stuck... We were in 2nd and 3rd... ALL the cars got stuck behind him and boxed him in... I went into first at some point in the second lap.... Stayed there, but wouldn't you know it that damn 2j caught up to me and made it a close victory (.129) however to me I don't care how much I won by... I still won!

I am willing to loan my car out to anyone who needs it, or the 2j if you would rather try that. Let me know.. Just add me and let me know you need to borrow the car.

you are freaking amazing. This race gave me a heck of a time. 1st time through with these settings won. My b spec was level 25. I used the same settings when I a spec'd to a win as well. I had to join these forums to give you some props!!!!👍👍👍👍👍

HEY blauster654 ty so much for this setup as has finally got me through this nightmare race for gold after 4 days trying...lol added with the 60kg ballast and yes not forgetting the decrease pace in the tunnel to avoid that left hand crash barrier, was the best feeling to get gold (and a lead of 7 seconds after getting 1st place on lap 3 on only my 2nd attempt) on this 1 as am now upto level 34 with golds all the way.....👍👍👍👍👍👍:
