Toyota 7 is available to win in the " like the wind " race, extreme level. If you have not got to that level then you can use a 1970 dodge challenger, which I managed to win with.

Buy a Chapparal 2J if you can find it. :P

Not very many people have 14 million CR to spend. I'd go with the Toyota 7, look up some tunes for it, this is definitely one of the hardest B spec race series if you don't have the right tuned car.

For the first race I used a Toyota 7 racecar and for the second race I used a jaguar xj-13. Though you probably won't have this car, you get it from a B-spec endurance race but I got it from a ticket. But just use a toyota 7 and watch out for that chapparal 2j on the second race, it's insanely fast.

Wait for a line up without the 2J or Toyota 7 if possible. You'll also need a very good car. I used the 7 with a very high level Bob (34 I think) and it still took around 10 tries. Be persistent and make sure your drivers are skilled enough.

See if one of your friends has the 2J. Have him/her set it to share online and beat it that way. It took me a couple of tries but I won it with the 2J from a friends garage.

I have set the 2J and Jag XJ13 online and you can win this event with either one of those. All you need to do is make sure you're in first position after the first few corners. Feel free to add me.

Also, next time use the search function as there's many threads about this already!!

the prob on this track is, if your driver starts to overtake in the tunnel he will crash on the left side wall 100% BUT if others try to overtake at this place... the will crash too

same conditions for all, dont push to hard but make sure you run fast laps

by the way... there are 3-4 threads about this race where its discussed to death

search function will help

I couldnt find a thread that was specific to b spec, I searched and I found A spec. Also, it's weird how the b spec intentionally starts the race slow so he can go straight to the back

I remember it required a super car, I also believe Toyota 7 did it for me, a good driver (30+) and a lot of managing. But a lot of us have done it, you can too.

I did it with a Toyota 7. But that wasn't satisfying. It always had a slow start and I ended up last in the first turn. I'm sure I have tried several times and I didn't win. BUT this afternoon, I maxed the downforce and added 80kg ballast in the back of the car. And especially that did the job. I ended the race with a huge lead.
EDIT, also, I changed the gear to 260 km/h.

I somehow managed it with a Chapparal 2D, Deep Forest wasn't too bad with some careful tinkering but the second event took me ages. I eventually managed it through sheer luck as the lead car, who can often build a good lead, can on the odd occasion crash at the sharp bend just after the tunnel.

Get the Toyota 7, and put 200kg ballast at the back (+50 position) Make sure you have Racing Mediums fitted. Keep Bob cool through the chicane after the tunnel. Should be an easy win.

I'll try it, thank you! I already have a Toyota 7 so be easy that I don't have to spend cr. to succeed

The key to historic race: handling! The racing philosophy of the '60s was basically, SPEED! only 1 company truly understood the value of downforce until late in the decade and that was chaparral! The tracks are highly technical too. The car I used was a fully tuned Lamborghini ****ach lp400, with full downforce!

also a short transmission is verry helpful

Yes this too, set it to about 180MPH as they don't go faster than that.
I used a fully tuned Toyota 7 RC with racing mediums, LSD at low values too. I was 3rd in the first few corners (very lucky) the rest of the race just involved catching the 2J and then overtaking (was first by the start of the 3rd lap)
You just need luck tbh as it took me three times to win and I didn't change anything on my car, it's was just my bspec driver being too cautious, also be careful that his pace or whatever it is isn't too hot as he'll end up hitting the barrier at the last corner and spinning.. (happened to me on the last lap of my second attempt)

I gave b-spec bob the GT F1 car and threw him into the "Like the Wind" races to pick up the Toyata 7. Yes, I know this isn't very sportsman like, but then again I'm only doing the b-spec races for the prize cars and then I'll never touch them again. Then I tuned the T7 to be the ultimate cornering machine and won the b-spec easily with this car.

That stupid 2J race car is nearly impossible to beat without the T7. The T7 drives almost exactly like an F1 car, it accelerates insanely quickly and corners better than almost any car in my garage. I managed to beat the 2J but only after several tries and some luck with other cars spinning out and blocking him in so I could take the lead.

I really need help with this event. I can't beat the 2J/D. I get close but not enough to win. I managed to get a bronze, but that's not good enough for me! xD Can anyone give me some tips?
Thanks in advance.

https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=135260 This is mostly for A-Spec, but since the link doesn't work for the B-Spec guide this is the one you'll have to follow. It should still work anyway for B-Spec if you have a good enough driver.

Try waiting for the 2J not to show up. :) What car are you using?

The 2J always shows up no matter what. There's not enough opponents to single out one car from a race. :indiff:

I think most recommend the toyota 7 race car however it took me a while because the 2J is just so quick. The 2J will some times bin it coming into the tight corner after the tunnel.

I used the AC Cobra from the NCD - fully tuned. I did manage (just) to beat each race with the car, even with the 2J race car.

I you do use one of the production cars, just make sure to use Racing (soft) tires to avoid drifting every corner and loosing control, even with the insane amounts of wheelspin
