Mine does to, he simply can't win the race (Silver is the best he has managed after 10 attempts). Decided to level him up a fair bit more then go back and gold it. Erks me as I won the damn thing in a tuned Countash with 0 aids :(.

What level did you do it at?

Best place I got with that setup was the third. And my Bob is Level 21.
I was sick of it after around ten times, borrowed a Chaparral 2J and took the lead after not even 1km. And then I got a GT40 Racecar for my Level 17 Ticket. ;D

I won this race with a level 20 Bob. He needed 4 goes at it though. You need to be lucky and get into the lead fairly early in the race, at which point you can lower the hot/cool meter to the middle - which will stop him crashing at the chicane. The Toyota 7 in clear air will romp away, briefly, but watch out - once the AI 2J clears the Ferraris, Fords, Z06 and Jaguar it will start motoring after you and you are then in a bit of a chess game of trying to keep Bob ahead but not going too hard, cos he'll crash.... tricky race.

It is worth redoing this race over and over and over - you win the 620kg Alfa, which (with a mid turbo upgrade) is an absolutely awesome thing.

Bare in mind that I used the same driver at level 19, 19, 20, 20 - the previous races I got 11th place, twice - one race to the next is totally different..... retry, retry, retry!

I won this event with a level 14 Bob in the Ferrari 330 P4. In order to keep him from hitting that corner is to pace him down keeping his temper between mid and max. If his temper is maxed out he will clip it.

Nothing seems to be working for me in the Toyota 7 :(

Any time I try to cool him off, he just gets overtaken straight away, but if you run him red, he just crashes into anything he sees

I've just won the first and became second in the second race with a lvl 14 bob and a fully tuned Ferrari 330 on the first try. Just tweaked the transmission a bit.

I found that you shouldn't overload your bob with too many commands. Don't let him try to overtake everywhere but instead watch were your Bob is faster than it's rivals and press the overtake button there. But only do so when he's close enough. If he's not tell him to go faster first.

I managed to do this one in the end, used the Ferrari, but i went and got a new driver who was slightly more on the hot side got him up to level 21 and put him and in 3 races and he'd won, i guess this one being more on the hot was willing to take chance compared to Mr Cool

Weird setup for my Toyota 7 Race Car but it worked on B-Spec and 2 more times right after to make sure. But it works well. after bb takes first you need to let him cool down and keep him near the middle of the stress bar. Should be gravy! Goodluck

Downforce: F:60 R:85
Turbo: Mid RPM Range Turbo Kit (Stage 2)
LSD: IT=30 , AS= 55 , BS=30
Transmission: 224mph top speed
Suspension:
Ride height= -30/-30
Spring Rate= 20/20
Dampers ext and comp both= 10/10/
Anti Roll Bars= 7/7
Camber: F= 7.0, R= 0.0
Toe: F= -0.10 / R= 0.15
Brakes: F=9 / R=8

Been "coaching" bob and the best he could do was 5 with this set up.

Using this set up with my emotionally "middle" stable BOB who is level 22 with NO coaching now. See how it goes.

Having read similar posts elsewhere , I skipped these two races completley until way later .

Finally got round to them today stuck a Hothead Level 35 Bob in my P4 330 and only really had to babysit him a little bit on the Cote race he won both by over 18 seconds though .

I just watched my driver work his way up to 1st, and then spin out and hit the wall on Deep Forest in my Ford Mark IV.. Only thought going through my head was, "What a noob!" That 2J is pretty ridiculous. I'll have to keep my eyes peeled on the Used Dealer to see if it shows up..

Seriously, is this race a joke? It's damn well near impossible! I have a Toyota 7, and a Chaperrel 2J and neither can come close... My guy just sits there not overtaking at all... It's retarded as anything, or just lets everyone pass! Seriously, the AI on this game is atrocious, there are points you could get a bus through an opening, but no, B-Spec driver doesn't bother, he just sits there, or pointlessly breaks...

Anyone else a bit fed up with how this guy acts? I think it's a joke of honest how he drives, needs majorly improving.

And I have uprated my car with a turbo, the medium racing tyres, and tweaked the settings of the car >_>

I had to come back to this race when my B-Spec Bob was at level 30 and he could only get second in the XJ13 when I first tried it. Once I was around level 30 and in the Ferrari 330 P4, he finally did it. But it wasn't on the first try either : / I fully tuned the Ferrari with Racing Softs and the mid RPM turbo and I think I modified the tranny to match that tight track. I think since you installed the high rpm turbo that may be why he can't win, the track is far too tight to get up any speed, try the mid rpm turbo instead. Good luck!

I won it with a level 32 driver. You may need to go back to it later as I did. Got fed up with it the first time thru but after my guy ran a few endurance races he aced the historic.

Won't let me use above Racing Mediums, it's enfuriating! If it was me driving, I'd dominate, I did in A-Spec by 15 seconds, but no, B-Spec has an absolute JOKE of a driver... I mean come on, massive gap down the side of a car, but no, he'll just sit behind them :@

With my chap 2d I won at Monaco but can't win deep forest or whatever the other circuit is.

Toyota 7 is best there for that one >_>

My main complaint is generally B-Spec's gentleman like approach, like I span my Aston one time from first, he waited for the field to pass by before even moving...

I did this with a Toyota 7, stage 2 turbo and chassis rigidity, and a level 19 extremely hot headed driver. I won on the first try, but it was hairy.

This was after three failed attempts with the stage 3 turbo and a medium tempered level 24 driver. Go figure.

Seems the trick is to have a driver willing to do what it takes to get you up to 4th or 5th off the line. Keep your driver cool until after the last corner, then overtake like mad through the second corner on the next lap. If you do it right, you should be able to pass one car each lap.

I have the same problem, I am Level 32 Bspec at the moment, the best I got with the Toyota 7 was 2nd, at one point I was 1st but obviously he crashed in the last Lap. TBH I almost freaked out

I won this race easily with a stock Toyota 7 using racing hard tires and a level 22 driver on the first try it is all about pacing them correctly.

Use the Stage 2 turbo instead of Stage 3. It'll help quite a bit. Also, you should lower your transmission's top speed when you get to Côte since Deep Forest's longest straight is 3x's longer than Côte's.

Yes pacing them correctly, but as was mentioned before it is reaaaallllly annoying seeing the Bob doing stupid things even when he's not all aggressive like crashing in a bunch of cars that crashed in front of him when he could easily pass them etc etc etc

I did it with my Toyota 7...here's the settings I used:

(If I don't mention a particular setting, leave it at its default value)

-Full front and rear downforce (60F/85R)
-Mid RPM Turbo Kit
-Transmission top speed = 250km/h
-Initial torque: 30
-Accel. sensitivity: 55
-Braking sensitivity: 40
-Ride height: -30 front and rear
-Dampers (extension): 10 front and rear
-Dampers (compression): 9 front and rear
-Camber angle: 1.5 front and rear
-Medium racing tires

Be sure to mash "overtake" from the starting line, then slow his pace 1) halfway through the tunnel and 2) before the corner that funnels onto the main straight. Another tip is to make sure the 2J starts BEHIND you...just keep restarting until he does...it will dramatically improve your odds of winning. Once you get the lead, maintain your Bob just above halfway on his meter and you should be good. Just remember to drop his pace before the two corners mentioned above on EVERY lap, just to be safe.
