Are the servers down again? Can't seem to get it past 'Verifying internet connection' & 'failed to connect to sony servers' popup. :indiff:
Make sure you are using the US servers in the widget as the widget uses the same APIs as the web sites.

US web site servers is working fine.
EU site servers remains unstable.

Ahh, awesome! Had it set to UK, rather than USA. Works fine now.

Thanks for the top tip! :dopey:

Hey, so I used this... and went 2 work.

I just came back (8 hours later) And the race just ended, so I pressed the 0 button(it said on the screen it would stop the remote race etc server status.

It stopped... I quit the wigdet in windows. And watched at the home screen of GT5 too see what Level i've become in B spec. It's still stuck at 0 :/

How come?!

Go read the B-spec remote race FAQ again at https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=183744 forums have these type of topics for new users to read.

Q: People are using my B-Spec drivers but they are not leveling up and my credits do not increase. What’s going on?
A: You need to collect the rewards from the B-Spec driver profile first. Since you put your drivers online for other people to use, their rewards will also accumulate online, so the rewards must be added to your local save. After collecting the rewards, the credits and XP will be added to your account.

would have answered your question....

I wish the certificate situation could be resolved :(. I've checked the time on the PS3, logged in to GT.com, and deleted yahoo widgets. Reinstalling had it working for a couple of days. Then the message started again.

I'm really looking forward to the browser add-on!

Absolutely fantastic. I've always got things to do like work and all that, and therefore I almost always have places to be, but no time to set up B-Spec manually. This widget is perfect for me. Kudos to you for spending loads of time perfecting this!

2 questions, first, can you change the sign-in ID?
Second, is there anyway to choose what drivers it picks?

You can change the sign in ID under widget preferences. I switch all the time.

Your own drivers? Someone can probably answer better but I believe you can choose drivers under manage drivers.

I mean the other drivers.
I assume we can't, but good to hear I can use different psn's.

i see that everyone here has a prob with something with the widget i have been. i have been using it for month now and it works great no probs at all

I have a similar problem, and tried searching this thread for an answer, but have found none thus far.

My issue is that in the last few weeks, when I run the widget, the only other drivers it picks are from my main account (new problem, but been running 2.5.2 for a while). I have two other friends accounts who I know for certain are not being run by anyone else. They had been in the "use randomly" section, so I tried moving them to the "always use" section. My account and one other have 6 drivers, and the third account only has 3. I have it selected to leave 0 drivers free, and since that is a total of 15 drivers plus my host, they should all run all the time. I can run the other drivers by selecting them manually in the game menus or via the remote race website, and the widget knows how many drivers each friend has, yet it only runs races with my other account's drivers. what could be causing this issue?

Not sure what's going on but something's not right.

I have a race running now with just 3 drivers despite having 9 friends in 'Always use' all of which have 6 Bobs. The widget is set to leave just 1 free and one of those 'friends' is my own alt which nobody else has as a friend so all 6 Bobs will be free and available.

Shenanigans! :odd:

oh, another, far less important issue I have been having recently (but also not initially with 2.5.2) is that the "use in order" option for my host drivers only uses the first driver. I switched to balance credits, and now everyone gets used, so I'm plenty fine for my purposes. but I am curious what might have happened there.

so, after trying a lot of different settings today (I had tried a few before, but hadn't initially had the issue I mentioned above), I finally landed on a setting that currently seems to be working for me: 2 threads, 2 seconds. Apparently, the "safer" setting of one thread wasn't working even with much longer delays.

now its stuck saying reconnecting... kmt

Edit:
oop neva mind sorted it out

Second edit:
A couple people have added me on psn n there names dnt show up in the manage drivers list? I shut down the widget and started it up again? Does it self update or something how long does it take to add my new friends to the list?

Yonis: This widget is awesome! With all the respect, I strongly support your decision on moving away from Yahoo widgets and develope your new skills elsewhere. At the end of the day, we all benefit from you.

1) both drivers need to go online after the friends selected or run a manual remote race with these drivers
2) Delete cookies in Internet Explorer
3) Force reauthentification in the widget

Not clear if all is needed, but these help. You could just try 3 at first.
