B-Spec Grinder 2.5.2: Automate Remote Races

For the last two days my 3rd sup-account has been running races that only the host bob and my main account have been racing in. I have two other sub-accounts with 6 bob's each that have not been selected to race.

Any ideas why?

I have changed nothing and it was just 3 days ago I could watch the entire field of 16 cars racing around. Was it the recent PSN update that cahnged something?

I tried logging in from one of my sub-accounts yesterday and the system would not let me. An error screen came up in the window preventing the log in.

I'll try again tonight if I have time.

I've hit the same situation and don't know why either

Edit: I too am having problems with driver selection. I have a sub account that doesnt have any friends at all. I put that in the always select section in driver management. For some reason the widget no longer uses the drivers from this account and its impossible that they are being used by someone else. Infact Ive had the widget running a couple of hours and its only picking drivers from one friend now???? Find this odd cause it worked fine at first!

Fixed: Found that for some reason the Widget had defaulted to "Leave 4 drivers" Took me an age to find the setting but its on the driver management page where the number of drivers is displayed. I also found that upping the Driver selection delay to 10 seconds gets more of my friends drivers involved.

Another thing Ive noticed is that when new friends are added even though the GT5 and PSN servers recognise them the Widget doesnt add them???

Use the 'Force Reauthentication' when you right click on the widget to update new friends in it.

Hey guys,

I have a really strange problem...
It's basically me and 2 friends racing... but the widgets chooses to put either ALL drivers of friend 1 or ALL drivers of friend 2 in the race ... and switches them after every race...

For example:

Race 1 is me and friend 1
Race 2 is me and friend 2
Race 3 is me and friend 1
Race 4 is me and friend 2
...
...

I've already tried to force reauthentication, as well as trying different servers, restarting PS3, reinstalling Yahoo Widgets, messing with Concurrent Threads and Driver Reservation Delay ... I also set both friends in the "Always use" list and tried everything from 0 drivers free up to 3 drivers free ...
I also tried letting a race end, then waiting for 10 minutes before starting another one...

Now here's the weird part:
If I add 2 additional friends to my list (let's say A and B), it will use either my drivers + friend 1 + A + B OR it will use my drivers + friend 2 ... no matter if I set A and B to "Always Use" or "Use Randomly" ... if I set them on "Never Use" it will either use friend 1 or friend 2 again... but it never uses them together...

Can anyone think of a solution or at least a reason? ... or does anyone even KNOW a solution?
I use the newest Yahoo Widgets and the newest grinder.

I've recently started using The Widget to help out some chums and to get as many people on my friends list to B Spec 40.

Its working like a dream

It keeps saying session dropped; will retry.
even when i force reauthentication.

I checked the debug window and it says the same thing: session dropped, will reauthenticate in 1 minute (s).
And 1 min later it says the same thing again... :S

it did work half an hour ago...

I had the same issue yesterday. I killed the Widget, and upon checking the PS3, found I was no longer logged in. So, I quit GT5, rebooted the PS3, and started up the remote server again.

The Widget started working perfectly again!!!

I don't know why it's doing that, but after about 5 or 6 drops, it loads up and works. However, if you Force Reauthentication, it does the same thing again. It is also not picking up my new friends, nor deleting my old ones for about 12 hours. Very weird.

the widget gets stuck for me @ "starting race". It also wont load my friends' drivers: meaning on the driver select screen there is a "?" next to the helmet of my friends' name.

any ideas how to fix this?

i'm told playstation network might just be down for gt5...

Thats on the very first page in the FAQ in the first post

I'VE NOTICED IN MY FRIENDS' DRIVERS, NEXT TO SOME OF THEIR NAMES, THERE'S A "?" SYMBOL.
This means that the Widget was denied access to that friend by Polyphony's servers. You'll see the same error if you log into the site proper. After you add a friend on PSN, both of you need to boot up GT5 so that Polyphony's servers know about it. After that, it can take a couple of hours before Polyphony's servers will sync up.

but you will have to wait till Thursday PSN is due some server work after WED 3PM GMT...

I just got into online B-Spec racing this week, mother of god is it easy to make money doing this. I don't understand how anyone who plays GT5 can ever complain about not having enough money for anything.

I setup the B-Spec grinder today. Amazing little widget! It was getting annoying keeping the gran-turismo.com homepage open at work and having to go setup races every 20-30 minutes. This will help me give back to my B-spec friends much more.

I've had that too some time ago.
Removed it and re-installed it and everything was fine again.

When I try to use it, it just has a loading bar with 'logging in' above it and is only a third of the way full. It never gets further then that.

Anybody ever encounter a problem where the PS3 is disconnected from PSN in the middle of a race, and the race won't timeout on Sony's servers?

Mine got disconnected at 2:30 last night and now every time I restarted the widget or log into the web site, it shows I'm currently in a race but never progresses or times out.
