B-Spec Grinder 2.5.2: Automate Remote Races

Anybody ever encounter a problem where the PS3 is disconnected from PSN in the middle of a race, and the race won't timeout on Sony's servers?

Mine got disconnected at 2:30 last night and now every time I restarted the widget or log into the web site, it shows I'm currently in a race but never progresses or times out.

Are you able to clear out the race? I'm at work so I can't try rebooting my PS3. Considering that it shows that I'm in a remote race still on the website, I'm thinking that rebooting the PS3 is really the only option I have at this point.

even just restarting the game works
but when im at work thats not an option lol
and if i have to restart it after every race i might as well just do them myself

Does anyone else notice a memory leak on the app? If I leave the app running overnight and in the morning check from task manager it takes about 250-300 MB of memory.
After I kill the app and restart it only takes about 8 MB.

Hi all,

I've been getting the following log entries for over 12 hours now. Started last night and has been repeating since. The widget was running fine until about 7pm EDT. Logged out of my hosting account to use my main for a while and when I logged back in to the hosting account set it back up for grinding it's been doing this ever since.

I've cleared the system cache and rebooted the PS3 and the computer I run the widget on.

Anyone have any ideas?

I'm in the same boat. If I go to the https://us.gran-turismo.com/us/gt5 website, and try to start a remote race, the remote race screen is blank, and the 'Select Event' button is grated out.

In the widget, it says 'Server Maintainence' with the same debug log as dragon whiskey...

Pretty sure we are friends for this Tubby. Hope it's just not you and me and they've locked these bspec races for us. I haven't seen where they've done that kind of thing before but that doesn't mean it can't happen.

Yeah, I have a friend that is running all 6 of my Bobs, as of two hours ago.

I wonder if that may be part of the problem?

Currently the web site is down which means the widget will not function normaly.
As all it does is mirror the web site API as that is what yonis reverse engineered.

The online service of Gran Turismo 5 will undergo maintenance during the following hours:

Start: 04/04/2012 01:00 EDT
Finish: 04/04/2012 03:00 EDT

During the maintenance, you will not be able to connect to any of the online services.

*Please note that the exact time of the maintenance may slightly vary.

As I read it the maintenance is supposed to occur on the 4th.

It is good to know that Tubbyboy and I aren't the only ones affected by this issue. Hope they're not locking out everyone who is using the widget.

May have to contact GT site and see what's what.

Sent PSN an email about it. Will let you all know what they say.

The web site is maintained independant from GT5 servers. The features of The web site don't need GT5 servers to be taken of line to be altered as Web pages were altered with out taking GT5 of line.
B-spec Chart view was added with out PD announcing it it was then later realtered to display up to 30 laps.
Realy don't expect PD to penalize those who use the remote racing correctly just to remove the automated widget runners.
Simpler reasoning is that the Hosting Server has had a damaged File and it has not been replaced.
Happens to EU community forums all the time.
Will be fixed when the Webmaster for the hosting firm starts work..

Hope they fix it soon, it is a major pain - I was getting concerned about it as I can run races from the game lobby no problem, just not using the remote server.

Yeah I could do seasonals for grinding money. That's not very attractive for a grinding solution. I've not used the website for bspec races yet. The in game interface requires attention every 30 minutes or so, so that's even less attractive than the website. The widget is by far the only solution for folks that can't tend to their ps3 or visit gt's website regularly.

Glad to hear it's back up. Will check tonight and if working will fire it all back up.

With the web site being down too and was a drag, with the PS3 hooked up to the only tv in the house, the little lady wasn't too thrilled about watching me race all weekend either....
