it sticks on monitoring server availability
there needs to be an auto connect. Even though in the million windows that pop up saying ok or auto connect, it doesn't do it.
someone needs to do something, pd maybe, sony, who knows. but this sucks big time. it doesn't work very long at all for me. works for a few races then says can't connect to server or some crud like that.
i use usa as i am in usa.

Obviously I understand the HUGE limitations of the PS3 but would there ever be a possibility of a version able to be used on the ps3 browser?

I only ask as I dont own a PC or Laptop but would like to run remote races for my friends while I watch tv or while outside for a few hours

You have two PS3's? Remember, the game needs to be running in standby mode in order for it to accept races.

Just a heads-up for those posting with sign-in issues. There's an issue with Internet Explorer (see your GT5 home page or GT5 News for info) that may be the root of your problems.

I'm using Safari on my Mac and have had no issues at all...

I started running the widget about 2h ago, and now I've just noticed that it was on "SERVER MAINTENANCE".

Logged on again and it started a race straight away.

That doesn't help as I have never used remote b-spec before, and that just tells me how to install/run it.

I went to community, remote bspec and set up a race, got some other drivers in, and ran the app, is that right?

No, you need to put it in Remote Server Mode, on the remote BSPEC menu, the run the app 👍

hmm...i can start a remote race manually, but when i run the widget it just cycles between "loading race events...selecting driver...starting race...race ended..." etc

i guess i will shut it down and try it again later.

... it does that over and over with no 20 minute race in between?

That happens to me when I've been disconnected fom the PSN.

Check your PS3 is still connected.

yep, it just cycles between statuses, with no racing. i am sitting next to the ps3 so i made sure it's still connected. weird.

EDIT: logged out, logged back in, shut down grinder, restarted grinder...and it's working. go figure.

thanks for the widget by the way...it rocks.

Try:
Close the grinder, log into GT.com first and start a race from there manually. During the race, start the grinder.

Edit:
OK, seen your edit that it's working.

Blimey just got just over 3 million since 7am this morning!!

My most active grinders are

didgeman91019
soakthecork
marcocosworth
Firesilver
laserviper
bad45577buik
FerriumPferd88
FoxPT
gtp_mardiearse
Kovalex27

All of these guys used my bobs at least 10 times

Well I'm have trouble opening up the widgetsus file, a message pops up and says "the installer you are trying to use is corrupted or incomplete". i tried downloading it directly from yahoo's site and I still get the error message.

Am I doing something wrong? Can anybody point me in the right direction?

So am I. The only issues I have since I use it, is that from time to time, my PS3 disconnects from the network, just like it does when I do not use the grinder. Apparently, the Mac version works well (as usual).

Yeah, no problems so far on my two macs.

Big thanks to the widget creator! I started using this yesterday and its great...don't know how much my company IT department feels about it though ;-)

Try changing your country server to, for example, Singapore.

Which server are you connecting to? The Australian? I had a few issues with the Australian server before, haven't had any since I switched to Singapore.

Edit: Beaten.

yeah I tried the australian server first, then the UK one, am back on the Aus one for the moment. but will try out other servers if it continues. thanks for the tip though :)
