Look at one page back on this threat, there is a link on how-to enable debug mode.

I'm sorry for being blind, but I found the part about saving the race logs. But how exactly do you open the window where you can enter the race IDs? (If possible) I watched the youtube clip, read the op. I cannot find it. I must be blind. :dunce:

In order to enable it, simply press CTRL + SHIFT + right-click on the engine icon in the system tray. There should be a new “Debug Mode” option at the bottom of the menu, which is not normally there. Click on it to enable the debug mode.

Thank you. Does this process work on a mac as well?

My widget is down...and i can remote race on GT.com...so for once it's not PSN/GT.com server issues. anyone else encounter similar issue?

Looks like the GT5 servers are currently down, as it won't log in to them when starting GT5.

I'm having issues filling up races with the widget. I have 11 people on my list and I've tried using them randomly and reciprocating but often only get 9-10 drivers each race. I've tried lowering the concurrent threads (not really sure what this does) to 1 and delaying driver reservation to 25 seconds but still having the same problem. Does anyone know why it's doing this?

Usually its because your friends drivers are being used by their other friends. You need more friends! :)

It's clear that I need to add some sort of reporting to the Widget to clarify exactly why you may not be getting a full roster every time.

I've had this same issue before and after updating to 2.0. I even tried remote racing four family accounts all from the same PS3, each with 6 drivers set to share, and rarely would the widget ever select a full field despite having 25 drivers to choose from.

However, by manually selecting the drivers, I could always get a full field, but once the widget took over for the next race it would go back to only selecting around 8-11 drivers.

Making it even more frustrating is that TB has been racing my main account's drivers, and looking at my log, he was able to race all of them like clock work, every 22 min 24/7 with only a few exceptions.

I finally gave up, and am now using my PS3 to do a bunch of enduro runs, but I hope I can resolve what ever issues I am having, as this widget is clearly a great tool, and many people seem to get great results with it, so the issue most likely has to do with some problem with my setup/network.

I'll try and do some more troubleshooting in the coming days.

Every time I try to use the widget this is all it ends up showing. It works fine on my desktop but I lost a part for my heat sink so I'm stuck using my laptop for a little while. The widget stopped working before the Anon stuff I have no idea what's wrong and would like some help! Thanks.

delete and reinstall

stopped widget, took coffee break, gathered winnings, cleared cache, re-saved to local PS3 file, went back into server mode, re-engaged widget. still running fine!

I don't make as much raw cash as many folks, it's more of an XP utility in my view. Gaining the XP required to have bob win the FGT race without any assistance. hahaha

I've followed the instructions too and have not been able to get debug to work on the mac. I dunno...

Open yahoo widgets, make sure the grinder widget is closed. Hold down Shift-control, then LEFT click the little two-gear icon on the menu bar at the top of the screen. The next-to-the-last option should be "Debug Mode", click it. Note - most of the time I do the control-shift left click, debug mode doesn't show up the first time, I have to do it a second time.

Question. I am pretty sure it has been posted before. but looking through 100 plus pages is nuts! My issue is that it says. starts race then ends race after 1 second. I don't know why. Any tips?

1. Did you check that your PS3 Is still logged in (leave server mode, and join back in, if you have been logged of (by disconnect/error), you should _not_ be able to enter server mode), iof you have, go all the way back to welcome screen of GT5, there, it will log on if needed.

2. Does the same happen if you restart the widget?

3. Did you check the logs of Grinder?

weird. It just started working. i wish we can use our cars instead of what they provide. I was messing with it for over a hour and a half. Now it just started working. WEird ineed

For some reason it's only using one of my other account's drivers after i set it to leave o drivers. Why?

'Leave 0 drivers' means leave 0 drivers FREE. If it's leaving no drivers free then it will use all available drivers.

^ the more the better if you use the reciprocate function. I'd say try to aim for a dozen active members grinding your bob's.

Okay so I still have the same problem as yesterday. I can't connect to Sony via Widget. I can run remote races perfectly fine manually. I tried switching widget preference to connect to other Sony servers in other countries and no luck. I know for sure Sony severs are working cause i see all my frds remote racing too.

Any help is much appreciated!

twitchy it bumped me off overnight but it's going now after a few widget restarts. PS3 was not off or anything.

I noticed that indexing other folks' drivers is REALLY slow so I think sony might be having some issues again.

I used random for a while and I'll toggle it back to reciprocate to see if that makes a difference. not a lot of drivers getting used, but I bet a lot of folks haven't reconnected.

Yes, the PSN appears to still be under attack from hackers, so expect the servers to continue to go up and down.

Have you played around with the thread and delay settings under "widget preferences" in the "advanced" tab? I get my best results (16 car fields) with 1 thread with a 10 second delay, but it probably depends on your computer and internet connection.

Similar issue I think.

I have tried changing the threads and delay but no matter what I do it just seems to go back and forth between choosing drivers and failing to start a race.

The logs show;

"2011.04.17 23:41:06.776: Command hasn't gone through. Trying again..."

Any idea what is causing it?
