B-Spec on GT6

Do you want B-Spec on GT6

The whole basic idea of B-Spec needs fixing, ie that the drivers need to be told to go faster, go slower or overtake constantly in a race. The idea that a driver will start tootling around unless we constantly tell them to drive quickly is stupid, likewise telling them when to overtake. Until that basic design is fixed any B-Spec is going to be a fail.

I'm not really sure how to fix it so that it's something worth playing. B-Spec, in its current form, is pretty dumb besides the fact that it's criminally boring, but if we make it so that the driver has an IQ above 50 then I don't know how much we could have left to do beyond just sitting there while he runs.

It was even better in GT4 imo

I personally think B-spec should go, that's a from day one Drifter's point of view. It's useless, not really fun. :indiff:

85% do not want the current B-Spec in GT6. Wow.

It is pretty primitive, and pretty basic, but its something, I say, leave it on the low priority list, fix all the problems with single player, multi player, garages, UI (jesus, UI) blah blah, then finally, it should be one of the last 10 bigger items to fix, if at all, otherwise they should either copy it, drop it, or improve it significantly.

They won't though you know, they'll improve it marginally, thinking its vaguely important, and we'll play it, and go 'wow, its better, but still sucks'.

A big improvement would be to make B-Spec completely optional. The driver also needs to be more independent by requiring less babying; this isn't a nursery...on the race track. After us screaming in his headset 200 times each race, he should catch on when not to squander a lead or when to overtake.

Well that's why my idea is that, since nobody likes babysitting Bob while he races but having him be able to complete races on his own would also be boring, they should implement a B-spec license system where you train Bob through a series of tests so that he gradually shifts from total asshat to pro racer.

Isn't it already optional? I mean, it's completely separate from A-spec... nobody's forcing you to do B-spec events. :P

Nice avatar btw, I'm playing Persona 4 Golden right now. 👍

Instead of Polyphony wasting their time and money on a feature that is very buggy and frustrating, maybe they should use their resources wisely and focus on major things like all premiums (if it's not premium, why bother making the game), and add things that GT hasn't had before. Things the fans REALLY want. Not 3 hours of "X, Keep going, X, keep going, X, pass that guy, X he's getting too hot! Better cool down!, X, keep going, etc..."

Right. When I was working toward finishing the whole game I had to go through B-Spec to up the completion percentage. When I stopped caring about it, yeah, no one was forcing me to go through it. During that time I actually somewhat enjoyed B-Spec when my driver wasn't a complete idiot. Unfortunately that didn't happen too often.. If PD's able to fix the A.I., I'll give it another fair shot.

Thanks and have fun going through P4G! Even though I've played through the original P4 twice already, I would have bought P4G if it wasn't on the Vita. :)

I quite liked the b-spec in gt5. The races always looked more professional than when I played (fair bit of shunting!), but I really loved the gt4 b-spec! It was strangely addictive to watch, you could do massive events and the time could be sped up. That was my favourite bit. Yes please to b-spec in gt6, but please make it more like in gt4!
Still best game ever though :)

B- spec would be nice if you can actually integrate it to A-spec, so you can run make a pit stop and then ask one of your drivers to take the wheel ( endurance races) or even if you can teach your V spec driver how to become better also helps you to improve for example in some sort of challenging mode where you can set a time and see if the driver can beat it, or another possibility is that you were able to race against them so the become better by learning from you....

I'd like my B-Spec driver to drive like me. If I set hot laps in practice mode, I would like the BSpec to be as quick as me. Like a ghost replay.

Also, if the AI see the BSpec driver coming, it should move over like it does when being lapped and in the AMG event when flashing to pass.

I only want B spec in Gran Turismo 6 If it's the same as it was in Gran Turismo 4.

A big advantage of GT4 B-spec is the ability to run your cars at 3X speed on the test track in order to increase mileage and reduce power.

Voting for the option to have B-spec working along side with A-spec only for the long endurance races. Remote races a must if they make us grind for credit or have insane cost on cars/restore/parts.

No B-Spec at all.

Just keep the save option for endurance races, but improve it. Make it possible to play Arcade mode and Online mode because sometimes you want to play with your friends and you can't.

No! :sly:

I'd like to only have A-spec in GT6 as I feel B-spec ruins the experience of the GT series.

Even in endurance races I would like only A-spec, but with save option.

Absolutely agree 👍

I would like there to just be one mode, simply called, GT Mode.

I don't mind bspec, but I do not think it merits its own dedicated game mode. I think it was much better executed in GT4 where it was just part of the game and you could use it in a race if you wanted to.

Much more preferred GT4, but if they kept it the way it is now I would want the endurance races merged, especially for the races over 4 hours.

I liked it better in GT4 and would like to see it return to something similar to that. It is nice to be able to swap out with Bob on the endurance races as well as just let Bob drive some of them. I personally hate driving even the 4 hour Tsukuba race and the 9 hour is out of the question. It is just so boring driving around that little track for so long, after about 2 hours I'll be falling asleep.

Would also be nice to have the 3x option to speed the B-Spec races up a bit.

So I think being merged in GT Life with A-Spec would be the best way to go since that way each player has the option to use it or not as little or as much as they see fit.

On the seasonals I do think that B-Spec should be separate from A-Spec though with the PI restrictions I'm not sure that matters either as it is much harder to win those with Bob at the wheel.

Special events of course should not allow B-Spec unless they have some special B-Spec events added in.

I think that B-Spec on GT6 could mix GT5+GT4 functions that let you use the drivers to help you on long endurance races, plus having the option to speed x3 again just like it was on GT4.

To make things interesting, PD could add some bits related to team management, pilots salaries, team expenses, etc.

That would make B-spec more interesting IMHO.

What you think about it?

Are you an accountant or race car driver, get rid of it for better mods instead.

I don't like B-Spec, i played a few times, but did not like at all. I see no logic in this mode, too tedious.

Yeah you can save, but you'll get started right back up where you left off.

Plus I don't like to be on one course for more than an hour at best so I'm not about to sit here everyday for 24 days(assuming I play an hour every day that is) just trying to complete one endurance race again that's 24 hours of my life wasted.

Exactly! I'd like to do the 24 hour race but don't have that kind of time and would like the option of doing something else also. Especially if a new seasonal comes up, I don't want to be forced to finish my endurance race before I can go to that.
