Just a note, for those adding me to their friends list for remote racing...

You need to login to the gran-turismo.com online services site for it to work. If you don't the remote race interface from the site will not allow me to use your driver.

It'll let me do it from in-game, but since I'm not home during the working day, I'm running remote races via the site. (I'm not using the widget, nor do I intend to)

The following notification is being displayed for some of you, when I attempt to run remote races.

You cannot view the My Home pages of players who are not your friends.
If you wish to view this player's My Home page, you'll need to send them a friend request from your PlayStation®3 system. Once they have accepted your request, you will be able to sign in here again and view their My Home page.

If you are still seeing this screen despite you and the other person both having agreed to a friend request, it is possible that the other person has not logged on to Gran Turismo 5's online services since agreeing to the request.
You will be able to visit the other person's My Home page a short while after they next log on to Gran Turismo 5's online services.

The important part here is the "it is possible that the other person has not logged on to Gran Turismo 5's online services since agreeing to the request." portion...

question on bspec, by leaving the ps3 on all the time, does that mean the lens is always on? had issues with burnt lens on the older model ps3s don;t want my brand new ps3 to suffer teh same fate

does gt5 pre load game data and doe snot require the lens to be always on?

twithc, that usually means you and yoru new friend have not synced with PD servers. both of you need to quit gt5 and restart it and log into psn and you will be good to go. it solved it for me

MadCrix, regarding the lens, if the disc is in constant spin, then, the lens would also be on... but it should be reduced if you have most of the tracks, etc loaded on to the PS3 Hard Drive, rather than reading from the disc for every little thing.

As for the sync... I'd imagine it's the other user.
I don't leave my PS3 / GT5 running unless I'm running an endurance race, or B-Spec remote races in standby mode.

Based on that, I presume that I "sync" every time I reconnect to PSN / GT5, and of course when I login to the gran-turismo.com site.
