B-Spec useless?

"There are no excuses (cardiac arrest maybe) to drive of a straight road."

Nope. If you're managing to have such a problem, you must be really really bad at this game. What's your best time on Nurburgring, and in what car? I'm curious how much slower my slowest bob is.

I'm done with GT5 for now, and done with bspec indefinitely. And i'm not curious (it doesn't proof anything) plus i wouldn't know how to proof my time on any track. (i don't have a pc)
Laters dudes have fun, i know i -eventually- will, probably with portal or an PS2 game (good old PS2:sly:)

Mr Melendez does make some incredible mistakes but he's far from useless,He's close to level 24 now and hes won a fair few more than he's lost two thirds perhaps.

B-spec was easy as Fast 4WD cars were cheap. Bought a high powered 4WD car for bob with the money from license and special events. He shot up B-spec levels with it the only time he lost was due to rain and heavy X button bashing as I did not change tires whoops.
Got a FGT very quickly and a Lemans race car.
Even events with forced cars were easy as I B-spec the divers, While out....did not even have remote B-spec then.
The PS3 was not off for 4 weeks after I got GT5.. when not watching BDs, IPTV, or doing Cancer research or other games the PS3 was doing B-spec.
While typing this the PS3 is doing B-spec.( Its raining in the Real F1 and I Did not like the new Format for the Indy Texas race, The real le mans was real bad for Allan Mcnish ouch.)

I wouldn't question your word. I just wanted you to appreciate that Bobs can be good drivers by comparing your speed with one.

It's actually a subtle aspect of the game, learning how to accommodate a Bob. Or even firing one who you can't work with. I'm telling you that the problems you're having are the challenge of this part of the game. It's like if someone tells me Mario keeps dying if he runs face first into a goomba, and I tell him that's the challenge... you have to jump on those.

So if you don't enjoy that part of the game, I agree, B Spec isn't for you, and there's no harm in that. I don't like many aspects of GT5, and I simply don't worry about them.

Graphite, that was a hell of an F1 race. Not a very good Le Mans, IMO.

I love bspec, I earn far more form that than I ever could grinding, I just chuck them in the X2010 and let them get on with it on the enduro's overnight.

Remote is awesome as well, just fire up the widget and leave it run for hours, I left it run over night this weekend and just usin one driver at a time I hit 2 mil by yesterday afternoon, I set up another account yesterday before the F1 started and by the time it was finished I had earned 1.5 mil off my 6 drivers on my main account.

Not bad for doing nothing !!!

I sure miss the 3X time compression of GT4. Having to leave my PS3 on for a true 24 hours, instead of 8 for a B-Spec endurance race is a pain and cramps my A-Spec and online driving time. ;)

This is how I feel. I also would like to share a race once in a while. Let Bob drive some of my A Spec endurance. Let me drive a segment of a B spec race. If I were PD, I'd try to find a way to make that possible, and penalize those who do so by removing the prize money.

Bobs have personality. Some are cautious in the turns and others try to hit them flat out. NEVER pace up just before a turn unless you want bob to try flat out or spin like crazy. HOWEVER, they are a bit too cautious in annoying ways, like if he spins out, he lets everyone pass, or doesn't take Indy turns flat out, he's afraid of hitting opponents as well. Be good to your bob and he will return the favor. Bobs will get complacent if they have the lead. Also, keep them calm when opposition rides you butt.

"like if he spins out, he lets everyone pass,"

Only some of them do that. It is incredibly annoying, though understandably realistic. If you race online, you should be careful about reentering the track after you spin. It's your responsibility not to get in the way. You shouldn't hit opponents.

That's something you can easily forget when in A spec, because, hey who cares about the AI drivers? But it's unrealistic not to.

Yeah, that was terrible. I'm guessing the tires were shot, and I'm guessing that was not the B Spec driver's fault actually. But it's still terrible. If you've lost your tires, you have to slow down. Oh, unless you are ordered to speed up, I guess.

Anyway, given my experience with B spec, it's clear those who can't get it to work are the problem. the AI isn't that bad at all. It's just not geared towards driving skill 100% of the time. Things like errors are actually built in. That's superior from my POV.

I figured it out, i let the superior fault making driver do "his" thing and meanwhile i watch the tellie.
And what do you know, he actually won me some money, i had to spend some too, so the profit is marginal but okay he's officially no *censored bit* any more, he became *more censored bits* but me is not perfect either so i'll forgive him, now to forget him is a bit too early, but who knows.
I managed to LOL at the poor *here we go again with the censoring, no offence meant thoagh* maybe the day is near that i'm happy with bspec, couse it can win me the 10mil '65 Alfa, that's a car worthy of some trouble, hopefully the drivers (got 3 now) will get better, they'll die very violently (again) when they don't !!! -LOL- Still; i can't figure out why some of the bspec drivers behave so annoying, is it really necessary to copy behaviour of a 3 year old?, is he a monkey perhaps? I stopt caring, i could be blamed for caring to much. Fact is: bspec might get funny (it can be funny too watch ai act idiotic) i rather have PD concentrate on the core business, i.e. more premium cars instead of: bspec, GTtv etc. And i'd like to see the game more user friendly first (so many submenu's you have to push, why?) before PD makes things like: gt academy, photolocations etc. Drifting too ,by the way, if i could have a say in this it would be the waistbin, lord allmighty the amount of trash in GT5 is quite substantial, but one man's trash is an other man's treasure, i understand that (eventually -LOL-) but at moments when mr. G. Oh (drivers name) goes to the toilet (i thought he had a stroke) where he should be racing, a man's patience will dry out. See you later, greetings stano(not so mad any more)666

Personally, I like B Spec. I run it with the tv off just making money and when I'm bored I turn it on and watch Bob race my friends(Bobs). It is kind of cool and is almost as good as watching a real race. Almost.
Oh and Bob absolutely gets better later, much better. He turns in some decent lap times on the Ring at 35 to 40 until he starts to revert back to King Slow, this time from old age. Yes, Bob ages! In fact, You will eventually have to retire him because he gets slower and slower with each race. That actually takes a long time, but you get the idea.

Here's my lv37 on tsukuba 9hr...

As much as ienjoyed this, and i DID injoy it, I would love to know which tires you had on and how much wear was left on them. From the look of it you have a four wheel drive car and not even the X2010 will break away that easily unless you gavce him the escudo pike peak car but hard comfort tire i would say it is down to tire wear otherwise this simply wouldnt happen from what i have seen with all my high level bobs

I always limit the X2010 to about 70% Engine, with lowered brake Bias, more downforce, and pit every lap, Bobs win safely. That video above reminded me of my driving the 1st day I ever installed this game.
