Were on the best form out of any team in the Premiership this season, we're not on our best form ever.

Also you have a situation with Henry, now he is a class, class player. But now you haven't got Bergkamp or Pires feeding the kind of balls to him he scores from, that's a big blow. I mean Henry doesn't look 100% anyway at the moment imo, he seem's to be lacking that sharpness infront of goal we're all used to seeing 90% of the time. But you compare the number of chances Henry is getting now, to last season and they've gone down. What Arsenal needs is another center forward I think.

I agree - I've got him in a coupe of fantasy football teams but Im considering transferring him when the window opens.
I do like what I've seen of Berbatov. Saha is the man for me at the moment though, I hope his form lasts.

I think at the end of last season, Man Utd were playing the best football in the Premiership, much better than Chelsea and Arsenal. They've carried it through to this season as well and Chelsea and Arsenal are struggling to peak. I think by the end of the season, those three teams could well be within only a few points.

I think the top 3 will be Man U, Chelsea and Liverpool, and I think there will be a notable gap between them and Arsenal. I think Arsenal will struggle with finding a player who will score consistently for them this year. Bergkamp was their best player, and he created most of the chances and Pires was a pretty reliable scorer, both of them have gone. Henry is still great, but he's not getting the delivery he had from them two, Bergkamp in particular. So he's not scoring as much anymore. the rest of the Arsenal squad with the exception of Van Persie, all suffer from shootitus, they get infront of goal and they just can't sem to be able to shoot.

Bergkamp was used mostly as a sub last season because he wasn't fit enough to play full matches. Also Pires was injured allot of the time, but saying that arsenal looked pretty crap at the start of that season as well.

It might have been different if they had signed say an experienced center half and a decent playmaking midfielder to help supply the goals.

Also hopefully that win will help Chelsea get into their stride, but damn that first half was so awful barring the defense.

The win ceratinly takes a little bit of pressure off, imagine how much pressure Chelsea and Mourinho would be under if they drew or lost, giving us a lead like that so early on. I don't think you played that well all through the game though, I think Blackburn pressed in the first half which is how to play against Chelsea, but then in the second half they might as well have not come onto the ptich. I don't think Chelsea played much better except for Drogba who did make a good impact. Fronk Lampard isn't on form at the moment and he's a key player for Chelsea and so he should be, but you don't half notice it when players like him take a dip in form.

It just seems like we havent worked out a decent formation, mainly because we decided to get Ballack who plays a simmilar role to lampard. On paper, having two world class attacking midfielders sounds like a good idea bit I think it will take time for them to start working together.

I think Essien's improved a lot as a player. I didn't think much of him at all early last season, all he seemed to do was foul and give the ball away. Now he's an inventive passer and works extremely hard for the whole game. If he's given a bigger role, it should help lessen the effect of Lampard's dip and take some pressure off him.

i recently came across and manchester united academy maths book:

2. If one minute of time is taken up in a game for substitutions and one
minute for injuries, how much injury time will be added on by the referee if
Man Utd are losing at home? (round your answer to the nearest 10 minutes)

That would depend if the ref did what Fergie wanted him to do, and give at least 10 mins extra .

Well theres plenty of games over thie weekend, Man U v Tottenham should be a good match. Last game Rooner and Scholes are banned for, Alan smith has said he wants to be on the bench too, he's made a great recovery.

Indeed, that's always a good one to watch, quite a way to go until the first Manchester derby thiough that's the big one for me, being from Manchester and all.

A friend told me a few years back that since the Premiership began, if Liverpool had never been given a penalty at the Kop end of Anfield, they'd be in the old Division 3 (If the points are deducted from penalites scored there).

Not sure if it was true, but it's funny nonetheless. :)

I know, who'd have thought, good match. Arsenal are getting beat 1-0 by Middlesbrough, Chelsea are beating Charlton 1-0 so far.

absolutley shiny and bright performance from liverpool

(shi)ny and brigh(t)

The scores have changed and right near the ned of the games it looks like it's going to be
Arsenal 1 - Middlesbrough 1
Chelsea 2 - Charlton 1

Well Manchester United won, which is nice, we didn't play all too well today but a lot of the team have been on International duty mid week. We've got a busy week ahead of us with the Man U v Celtic match on Weds and then we play Arsenal over the weekend.

hate chelsea

Awwww thats cute, but the blue team that beat you was actually Everton not Chelsea. I thought you'd know seeing as they are your cross town rivals and all.

Man U look realy strong this season, but god bloody Arsenal start winning god I have Toure in my fantasy team and it's costing me bigtime argh. Also why the hell does arsenal not have any width anymore god.

Because they got rid of Ashley and Dennis?

They've traded Cole with imo a better player, their biggest problem is they haven't replaced (and nor will they be able to) Bergkamp, who let's be honest has been Arsenal's best player for as far back as I can reember him playing for them. Pires, as much as I hated him, could score goals, regualrly, and they haven't got him anymore.
