Well he's undergone an operation for his fractured skull, but he's gonna be out for the rest of the season I bet. Cudicini should be back in a week or so anyway, so we'll have to use Hillario for a couple of matches.

Iono in a couple of the pre-season matches he played he seemed allright, but I suppose we'll just have to see if he's any good in a competitive match.

Anyone got any vid of the incident (Your normally good for it Brett :D)?

Appart from Jose Mourinho's claims it was foul play everyone else seems to think it was not malicious.

It wasn't intentional he was going for the ball, missed and ended up getting Petr's head instead.

Cudicini's one looked more like an amerian football tackle the way he landed though.

This reminds me of a few seasons ago, when Cudicini and Neil Sullivan were both injured so we ended up playing our third keeper for most of the season.

Woooooooooooooooooooooooooo SHEVA WOOOOOOOOOOOOO FINALY

Also Ballack finally showed why apparently everyone rates him, god he was passing like a mad passing machine and linking up well with lamps. Also he scored!

I'm gonna have to root for Liverpool to win or a draw tommorow because man U have just gotta drop some points!

I just knew Shevchenko would score today, just typical, everyone breaks their ducks against us it seems.:grumpy: Did you go to the game? If so how do you recon Pompey played today?

im fed up of liverpoll's removed by mod antics. i lament watching my team play.

I'm fed up of people attempting to go round the swear filter. Do not do that again.

I believe the word dominated is appropraite to describe Man U's performance today. Two goals, one by Scholes on his 500th appearence for the club and a second goal by Rio Ferdinand provided a comfortable win, Liverpool never really looked like they were a threat.

Arsenal on the otherhand -although against a below par team- were a joy to watch. :)

Absolutely, some of the moves you were making and build up play to some of the goals yesterday were fantastic. Rosiky had a couple of chances he messed up but overall everyone on Arsenals side played well. That's one thing I'd always give Arsenal credit for even if I don't like them all that much, they are one of the most entertaining teams to watch when they're on form.

DQ

Thats Arsenal recent Arsenal in a nutshell, against crap teams you look like worldbeaters. But against decent sides you become passy mc'noshoot.

On the other hand Chelsea just look crap against everyone and (mostly) manage to win.

Contender for goal of the season though. You do have a point, against some teams Arsenal seem to develop a fear of shooting, they just seem to be trying to pass it into the net. But that's not against all good opposition, that's just the odd game they have. When they're in form they're a joy to watch.

goal of the season? we could have a whole new thread on this!

Xabi Alonso is a sure contender with his 70 yarder vs. toon.

and i went to LFC VS. AVFC today. liverpool were brilliant, and the goals were pure class.

Yeah but as good as that goal was as far as accuracy is concerned, that would have been easilly stopped had the keeper not slipped. That goal on the other hand was not being stopped, it was as perfect a goal as I think you can realistically ask for. Liverpool played really well in the fisrt half, didn't see the full game but from the highlights they took it a bit easier in the second half, and why not when your 4-0 up, they finished 4-1. Man U were on fire again, first hat-trick of the season has only been done by Rooney, what's that about a goal drought , Saha rather smartly set Ronaldo up to score and we won comfotably 4-0. Arsenal, well they absolutely dominated thier match, but well what can you do aginst a 10 man defence. They finished 1-1 with Everton. I feel sorry for Watford, they had a perfectly good goal dissalowed which would have been their first wion of the season. The linesman that flagged that should be shown that. Also Ben Foster was terrific in goal, he's really showing promise at the moment. I don't know if he'll stay on laon next season or not, he probably will be because he'd likely be the third choice keeper for the next season or two and not get enough games, which is important he gets at this stage in his career.

Much to Charlottes delight Manchester City won 1-0 against Middlesbrough, rubbish game though overall, it was more a question of Man City not playing as bad as Middlesbrough rather than them playing well. And Paul Dickov, that man's like a rabbit ferret, he's got the energy of a 16 year old but what does he do other than run around like a dog trying play fetch.

Just been watching Fox Sports World in canada with the English Premiership review. Saw the 3 goals by Rooney, absolutely amazing, about time.

But anyway, about a week ago, I saw Rio Ferdinand's goal, it was #1 goal of the week, and the commentator just went crazy and sang a Rio song. Does anyone have a video on youtube or something of this? It was just completely ridiculous.

Half time scores for today so far are....
Manchester United 2 - 0 Portsmouth
Liverpool 1 - 0 Reading
Bolton 0 - 0 Wigan
Charlton 1 - 0 Manchester City
Watford 1 - 0 Middlesbrough

The two goals by Man U were scored by Saha (penalty) and Ronaldo (free kick). I think I'm going to enjoy Match of the day tonight.

2-0 LFC, kuyt twice,

scores at 16.45:
Bolton 0 - 0 Wigan L
Charlton 1 - 0 Man City L
Fulham 1 - 0 Everton R
Man Utd 3 - 0 Portsmouth L
Watford 2 - 0 Middlesbrough L

Full time scores are same as above except Wigan beat Bolton 1 - 0. Saha, Rooney and Vidic scored for Man U, apparently David James had to make three good saves to prevent none other than Garay Neville from scoring three times. Could you imagine a Gary Neville hat-trick .

I'll be feeling sorry for Newcastle on 1st of Jan, I don't think they'll have any strikers to play from their first team. They won't be allowed to play Rossi against us. They'll probably use Duff as a striker, maybe.
