Capable of 200 MPH AND mild offroading.

Uh huh, this I have to see.

If its tyres can handle 200MPH they aren't going to be competent off road, these things are never going to see even a spec of grass, what's the point?

I'd consider it a matter of taste if only the two of you hadn't proven a complete lack of it on numerous occasions.

Not only does this horrid thing not look like a Bentley, but it'd be just as ugly if borne by any other brand. Although the Range Rover is a bit fussy in the details, its general shape and presence in much more traditional and elegant than this Chinese piece of crap.
Would you also like to argue about whose favorite color is better?

First spy shot of the Bentley SUV.

A small teaser video.

Oh, so it wasn't a bad dream...but rather the annoying one where you miss your exit because the signs are in Cherokee.

At this point they could reveal it to be a 1998 Daihatsu Terios with a Bentley badge glued on and I'd still love it.

Next thing you know Ferrari builds an SUV. This is getting ridiculous, I don't really know what to think anymore.

That's probably not too far away from what it is, considering the Continental's lineage.
👍 I think it's already been stated that it will share the Q7 (next gen) under pinnings - which is, in turn, a lengthend tourag/cayenne chassis.

I know its still in camo but I preferred the more upright front on the concept rather than swept back. Also one large round headlight each side looked better. They have put too much Continental DNA in there IMO.

Looks very Merc-ish. If thats even a word

Those "eyebrows" remind me of the sharp front corners of the original concept. But I suspect they're there to mask the true lines of the final design.

Same for the bulge running along the hip-line towards the back. They look more tacked-on and slightly more exaggerated than what you can see in the teaser.

Mulsanne, Arnage
Bentley Indianapolis
Bentley Dunlop

Brooklands
Bentley Aintree
Bentley Goodwood
Bentley Rockingham

There's still plenty of heritage for them to utilise. Bentley Goodwood would be excellent for an alleged off-roader.

Bentley's marketing team + One crazy week in Gran Canaria = "You know what? Screw la Sarthe. Let's name it after some rock we saw in the brochure."

But seriously. I can see why they went for a name relating to a rugged landscape rather than a racing circuit. Even if it's a rather obscure choice (points for originality?). Naming it after a West London borough still would have been more befitting.

It's only January, but surely nobody else is going to come up with a worse-sounding name for their new model in 2015 right? Are Jaguar and Bentley competing for the honour?
