I'm not sure if you guys notice but there is a thread named favorite cars in GT1, This is not it! This is "Best Car in GT1"!

Regards,

Hybrid...

Wow, look at Hybrid stepping up to tha plate! :D YOu go HL. Anyways, it does raise that old question again: which is best, and which is your favorite? It's hard to prove which car is best ...most folks are naming their favorite, which is a personal opinion.

My favorite car(s) are the:
Castrol Supra-have it in every GT game to date
TVR Griffith 500 (Manaco Yellow) in GT games to date
Toyota Supra RZ or SZ R (Blue Mica Metallic) also have in GT games to date
and many more cars.

oh well, the GTO is the best car anyway:D
LOL!!!

GTO - LM has amazing power and really easy to drive...but too heavy for a real sport car, infact have the worst turning ability of the 6 special models and prize 'R' cars

I remember an interview of the game creators that say the best car is the NSX (no particular version is specified)

Dix
I think that could be:

NSXGT1>RX7LM>IMPREZARLY>SUPRAGT=NISMO>GTOLM
NSXGT1 ????

NSX-R LM GT2?

Grrr!!!! Some swear filter makes it difficult (impossible?) to enter post of all caps!!!!

i have to say i think the subaru wrx rally car from their speacial car lot was probably my fav for short races, cerbera lm for longer races, and my fav random car was my purple concept car LM as i never had any of the problems mentioned in this forum and it drove like a dream ::memories::

like Fox said the suspension/damper etc settings are a mess..if you aren't an advanced user is a good thing use this car in the city course only^ (perfect for endurance All Night I)

The car of the game gt1 is GTO all costumized is not my word this is the best car of the gt1
But i have more good cars like the Viper the viper i'm saying you won in a rce and it is green
We have the splecial of nissan is a wonderful car too

Best car in GT1 other than the High Speed track is the Concept car, Go and tune it and see, It will out handle everything but it will not out run the GTO on the High Speed tracks, Do the best you can do with the GTO and save it as a ghost car race, Then go Tune a Concept and watch the GTO loose be more than 5 seconds, The Concept corners way too nice...

Yes I did but the car is amazing without the power as I explained, Mostly because of it's lite weight and excellent handling.

There you go. :) It's almost like the F1 car of Gt1, if that makes any sense. Light weight...lots of horsies.

To me the best cars in the game are the special Model Mazda RX7 LM edition, the Cerbera LM, and the 95 GTO MR for top speed purposes of course:)
I am so glad I finally won the purple Copperhead LM I looked at its stats and I was thinking holy **** only 1329LBS with 560hp took it to the test course 0-400km run it accelerated like a whatever!!! But then I took it to the UKvsUs race (on the first course in the championship) and it would only go like 138mph on the uphill sections then its speed would drop quickly and it bounced all over the 🤬 place:banghead: I know it has to do with damper and gear stuff etc I tried to tune it to fix it but I do not know what settings to use, can someone pretty please post some settings you use to make handle like a dream it will be very much appreiciated:)

Thank you guys so much for your help :smt060 I can now see why everyone loves this car it handles so nice and at high speeds too! time to whop the rest of the game now8O

I too experienced your Copperhead dillema till i visited one of those GT1 setting vault websites and some dude was recommending low damper settings. I think the TVR Griffith also suffers from this prob when the suspension is too stiff.

ps: you won't be able to take the purple Copperhead to the Tuned series! It has modifyable downforce.
