Biggest "I'm an idiot" thing you've done in GT5

Stupidest things I've done are modding cars to the max and regretting it when i realized I've ruined the character of the cars. Also using a car restoration ticket to try and remove permanent mods. I created a topic in q and a about that one though. Also doing the leaf academy seasonala with 19.8 mil. 👎

Stupidest thing would be in the GT500 championship, I saw that the track (Suzuka) was 100% wet, changed to Racing Wet tyres, got out of the 'settings' screen, forgot to check the weather again, and ended up with using wet tyres on a totally dry track.

I was thrashing the ai's in the Indy - American Championship so I decide to try and reverse the last straight on the last lap I ended up spinning out into the pits and finished 8th.

As to my memory, I can just recall buying Audi R8 '05 PS Oreca, since it's a trophy car for 24 hours Le Mans.
And the most idiotic thing the game did itself: freezing in the start-the-race screen on bspec F1 Suzuka, especially when my Bob won all the previous races. I was so angry I never did the series again since today.

Accidently quit the game on a b-spec race at indy 500. I was on lap 196 out of 200. 2 and a half hours of time lost, I cursed loudly.

Guilty of this, instead of closing the orders screen I hit circle twice and was LIKE 🤬

3. The guy did not send back a car, there for he got ripped-off.
4. Luckily he had a backed up save, and he inserted the back up, and got the car back.

I have two Veyrons also, both look horrible. One is an ugly pale pink/baby blue and one is an ugly Silver Chrome. Anyway, I once did the Indy 500 in an X2011. Not fun, not fun at all. Still have not even touched the Jag I won. Can't wait until I do the 24h races in my X2011. That will be buckets of fun.

I tried to do the Indy 500 with an X11, I couldnt take the boredom after 17 laps.. Kudos to you sir.

It took me 2 hours and was the first enduro I ever drove.
The reward car has never been touched.

So if I got a car and my friend hasn't, I can backup my save, send the car to my friend and then reload by previously backed up save resulting in situation, that we both have the car now?

Yes! I do that all the time. Sort of like cloning the car.

There was a Formula GT seasonal event held in the past. The Nürburgring which was 2 laps. I thought it was 1 lap only and drove the balls of that car and passed every ai car on first lap and then realizing I had to run for another lap when passing the finish line.

There's is one thing that still happens from time to time to me. What I do: I arrive on the finishing straight, push it really hard and then, some car lenghts before the finishing line, I pull the handbrake and go across the line in reverse.

Sometimes it happs that there are 2 finishing lines on the start/straight, and I did this too early in a tight race and got overtaken.

The other times were because I thought I was in the last lap just to realize that I wasn't after being overtaken by the others.

Well, you can't be lucky always, I guess.

NOTE: Of course I'm doing this while racing offline.

Back when gt5 first came out i religiously played it.... well after awhile i beat everything, like i mean ever thing even the 24hr races. So I'm playing online & a kid in the room was ranting about the glitch to where u can steal a friends car from there share list.. well i tryed it one night & it worked i stole a Ford GT. i tyred it again the next night & it worked just like it did before. So when i go to play the next day my gt5 file is completely reset... apparently my system file was corrupted and the crappy part was my back up on my flash drive was too ...... oh well sometimes we have to learn the hard way i guess

Mine was doing the 4 hour Nurburgring enduro when I paused the game and accidentally quit at 3 hours, 24 minutes in. Yeah, I'm never going to try these enduros again.

Sliding sideways into the pits at the Suzuka Enduro, and waiting what seemed like hours for my car to stop reversing into the wall and actually make an effort to get to the pits. Thankfully I was in my X1.

Haha the same thing happened to me twice. Even suspend --> load didn't help. I was lucky that within a minute someone came to pits and threw me in.
