Many have probably done it too, but I stopped racing and celebrated thinking I had won but there was still 1 more lap to do. I went from first to 5th before I realized and could only get a 4th in the end. haha
 
After a good hour trying to get the Nascar Outside Driving - Indianapolis gold i finally get under 13 seconds. the one problem? i hit the LAST cone before the finish line and got DQ'd

gutted
 
This Season I will drive online races with a lime-green colour. I found out that Lotus has a very nice colour named "Isotope Green" !

There's a slalom challenge offline in GT5 with a Toyota FT-86 concept, also in a very bright lime-green colour. I remembered the car and bought the car twice, without noticing I didn't get the Lime-green colour.

Then I noticed the price of 300.000 credits for that car, twice :D

I was really tired one day and thought it would be funny to use the transmission stretch trick on a fiat 500 and throw it into the 24 hours of Nurburgring b spec.

I got one lap done.

What is the transmission stretch trick?
 
Set top speed and final gear all the way to the right. Then set the top speed one to the left and one to the right. then set final gear all the way to the left. Your top speed should be saying something over 600Mph.
 
Restarted by accident just over 8 hours into the Tsukuba 9 hour.

The amount of abusive language emitted from my mouth could be measured in tonnes.
Never doing that race again :P
 
During the Like The Wind event ( Indy) I crashed at the final lap JUST BRFORE THE FINISH LINE

Buying a Golf V for the Seasonal FF Challenge, haha.

Also doing the 24h le mans then running out of gas halfway around the backstraight in my X2011. Took quite while to find the pit.

So I spent a week saving to buy the F10. I bought it and said "Haha everyone is going to go wacko when I use this as my drift car."

And then I found out.

I did the exact same thing
What an expensive and impractical piece of crap
 
I was on the 4 hour roadster race, went to click on options in the pause menu... and exited the race... >.< 2 hours into the race.

A lot of people have done this though. lol.

I tried drifting in an F2007..it got old quite quickly.:lol:
 
I just realized that there are rain tires and am level 27 and have had to repair my 787b so many times because of drifting on the nurburgring
 
Installing engine tunes on race cars was the worst thing I've done. (Stupid, stupid, stupid!) Good thing I'm a millionaire! :lol:

Apart from quitting an endurance race by mistake, the daftest has to be a race, going down a main straight on the final lap drafting the leader hoping to beat him to the line.

I had the perect position, the acceleration was just about perfect, pulled out to pass and promptly drove straight into the pits.

Finished 4th....
 
Clean driving all evening long, Friend decides that he can drive a Ruf like me, floors it on the first stretch of the Nordschleife and takes out 10 of 16 people in one fail swoop....3 -5 friends in room, I get kicked and can't rejoin.....D'oh x32 (literally, click link)
 
I just did the indy 500 and on last 10 laps and waay in lead. I was on the last turn I was stretching my tires in the first place and of course the idiot AI just had to crash into me so I spun out and ruined my tires. Spent 1 minute spinning to the pits. Finished in second. Very grumpy

Thought it would be a good idea to get the "GT-R Official Record" trophy.

Went and bought a GT-R 07 and tuned it to the max....

Then read the trophy description again "The record must be achieved in time trial in the arcade mode version of the car"

I had one Ferrari 330 P4, and I wanted to leave it completely stock, but I also wanted a yellow one. So, I spent 20 mil. Cr. on a second one, only to find out that the 330 P4 isn't paintable.
 
Back when the game came out, I forced to my lvl 1 Bob to race agressivly, came back from getting a snack and He had crashed taking out about 4 cars including himself.
 
Not bothering to check tire selection before I start. Many times I'll assume my tuned cars are set to Racing: Soft, only to find out they were on Sports: Hard or something because of another room I was in, or just no reason at all. Or, I'll be driving a new race car for the first time, and I'll forget they come with RH instead of RS.
 
I used racing softs while on a rainy circuit w/o aids abs 1 on nurb couldnt quit when i got to pit i found out 4/10 lap online
