Glad I'm not the only one that had a hard time with this.

That said I hope they have more locked setup seasonals. In fact I think there should always be one.

Get to suffer the characteristics of the car together this way, lol.

Well, I was up on my ghost by almost .500 right up until that final chicane. Managed not to Red lap it there like I've been doing but took it a little too cautiously, losing most of my advantage but still hung on to improve to a 2'09.421.

Had to reboot as I realised my throttle had been sticking on at about 1/4! No wonder I could only keep up with Amo until the 3rd corner

I had another go at this one which went okay, well for the first sector at least where I wasn't too far off Bandit's first sector but then on wards I lose sight of him  Nevertheless, managed a 2.08.3 in 20 or so laps. A 2.07 is realistically possible but I'll have to push the little talent I have to achieve it :P

Well the girlfriend is having a camp so I've had 1/2 dozen runs and have improved slightly to 2:11.176, a couple of tenths better.
Still beating Cargo to Dunlop corner #8 and often beat the Bandit to the first corner.

But as Cargo says, it doesn't count unless you can string them all together.

Yeah not far behind you , made a big mistake so just got to get the sectors connected, although overall ive improved and can see the subtle differences coming through. Im going to practice alot on tracks with ABS @ 0

@SAFFY I'we just reduced my gap to you 'til 1 sec with my 2:10.3xx lap, and then you go ahead and do an 2:08.3xx lap!!!

Guess I got to do some laps tomorrow then to break the 2:10....

Is it really an achievement beating someone to the first corner? I can beat anyone to the first corner if I don't brake...:sly:

Yeah, been waiting for that, albeit from Cargo. But obviously that was not what I said or implied, as you should know as I made it quite clear that often you are the only person in front of me at corner 8 at the bottom of the hill, which would suggest that I actually make it around that 1st corner safely. Which is what usually happens.:D

2:16.9

I'm usually 2000-3000th on my first attempt in seasonals. Now I'm like 40,000th. Just when I was excited I topped my friends' leaderboards. I at least 2 seconds ahead of one of my friends' ghost until turn 6 then I started losing massively thoug.

Why on earth is SRF on? The top time is using a wheel, SRF, TC and pretty much everything. That's not fair.

How exactly is it not fair? You are free to use the same aids as everyone else you know, so its hardly unfair. As much as I despise SRF, I bit the bullet and turned it on so I could be as competitive as everyone else, feel free to do the same.

Ok technically it's fair but personally I don't like having the option. Either force it on or off, or separate the leaderboards. I'd like to know where I place with settings that count for something.

Having a way to filter the leaderboards would probably be the best option for you. Your post is a bit confusing though as you say you don't like SRF so if they force it on, you still won't be happy. I don't understand why you would say to force it on when you don't like SRF in the first place. I myself would rather have it forced off, but since it is optional, you're either going to have to join the party and turn it on or keep it off and just go from there. If you turn it off, you're only handicapping yourself as far as what the majority is doing so you might as well bite the bullet, like I have, and turn it on.

What is it with you? Why must you mention my name damn near everytime you post? :odd: Are you that infatuated with me, or do you just like typing my name. You know, if I had a dime for every time you dropped my name, I'd be filthy rich by now.

👍 👍

Great point, comes down to TT participation goals...
Are you competing for best overall time? ...or competing against yourself,
and/or others that choose to handicap themselves the same way BHRxRacer?
Same applies to manual clutch/trans, but I have seen 0 ABS users in top 10...
...when Brake Bias can be adjusted.

And thanks for that opportunity to remind you that you claimed you could beat me with or without SRF. However you needed it to beat my time earlier and have failed to post a non SRF time. And a non SRF time wouldn't be hard to post, just click off on SRF.

You were after all one of the strongest opponents of SRF in GT5 and all but accused everyone who used it of cheating.

Plus you are the master of the attempted cheap shot mate, so naturally I had expected you to pick up on what Bandit spoke of.
Just keeping you honest old son.

Here we go again. Give it a rest Dalone. I never accused anyone of cheating by using SRF. And I hardly need you to keep me honest. Why can't you just accept the fact that I am a better driver than you and move on and stop with all this mumble jumble. If you can't start pm'ing me with this off-topic banter, then I'm just going to start reporting you. Nobody wants to read this crap Dalone and I'm really getting tired of having to defend myself every time I turn around. Now grow up and act like an adult, I'm sure you can do it.

Ha ha, figured your next move would be to threaten to 'tell mummy'.

Ok, now I have stated many times here that you can drive quicker than I can, I don't cry about that, you're just one of many who can, but you are the only one who keeps insisting that I don't accept that fact, in fact you bring it up every time I catch you out with something.

Of course everything is relative and your wheel likely accounts for you being quicker (most places most times). And I have also stated many times here that I do not begrudge anyone using the best tools available to them here.

But when you say you are quicker than me with or without SRF my ears prick up. I challenged you to prove that claim but you backed off.

Now I may well be quicker than you using the buttons on a controller, which as you know is what I use, so you see everything is relative. But I would like to see your non SRF time, would only take you a short time to post a reasonable time. Whaddya say champ?

Ok, so once again I have to come on here and defend myself because you have yet again taken something I said out of context to suit your needs in order to take a shot at me. I did not mean that I could turn SRF off in this event and better your time. What I meant was that I do not need a SRF event to better you. I can do it in a non SRF or SRF on event. That would be pretty stupid of me to say that I can beat you with you using SRF and me not, beings SRF is like Superman's cape and will instantly add 2-3 seconds at least to your time. I hope that this clarifies things for you. Furthermore, to save you from making another post, no, I am not "back peddling" here, as that is what I sincerely meant when I made that statement. Now please, do not post anymore of your crap ass banter here. I, or anyone else here, wants to deal with it.

To the rest of the masses, my apologies for having to have you guys to read this crap. Like I said though, I feel like I have every right to publicly defend myself when Dalone wants to try to belittle me in whatever way he can. I'm almost afraid to post anything anymore because almost every time I do, it turns into a "Cargo said this, Cargo did that, ect, ect" type of thing and I'm really getting tired of it. Maybe I will just stop posting and let Dalone have his way. Anyway, again, my apologies my friends.

Didn't TT too much in GT5 but i.m.o. the reasons they'd have SRF as optional would be to either flatter this new BMW's performance or to ease everyone into the new physics engine.

Got down to a 2.08'4xx IIRC (a little annoying how they don't have web leaderboards at the moment). Had a 2.08'2xx lined up but cocked up at the chicane

Time is relatively easy to find with this combo when you're a couple of seconds away from P1. Looking forward to how this seasonal pans out over the next week.

Just got a 2:10.701 couple more corner to master could get a low 2:10

creeping up 2:10.610

now 2:10.321

what does one get by topping leaderboard ?chips ,car, credits? how it worked in gt5?

Pride. A sense of accomplishment in knowing that you beat out some of the best drivers here on GT6. I say some because not all the best drivers participate in these but still, the ones that do are some really great drivers and if you are able to top them, then brother, you have really accomplished something. I know that if I did it, I would be ecstatic, a dream come true.

nothing else?

You get better and better. That is really what you get. Those making the top times do not do it on their 1st, 2nd, 10th time... they go at it and practice it quite a bit. Thus improving your driving skills!

You don't practice you will remain a SLUG. :D

As I say in my sig: "Some people practice till they get it right, I practice till I can't get it wrong" ;)

Very original Sig if it yours. I wish I had the time to do it; but seat time is limited for me. I am satisfied with Golding events without any aids.

In GT6 I've been just trying to beat my friends' times and I have in every leaderboard so far(with ease, but they're not really good). In seasonals specifically I just try to make the best out of a 2-5 lap run and see where I place. In the VGT and Fit I placed in my usual 5000th place .

I'm not going to compete with guys who not only use a wheel, but ran hundrends of thousands of miles in the game and keep practicing an event for hours.

Totally understand, main thing is to have fun doing it, no alien myself.
...and thanks for all the pre-release stuff you posted, followed everyone!!!
