Yeah, not sure how that was a joke..
Anyways, back on topic.
I read it quite clearly as sarcasm, but as you say, back to topic.

I care!
The article is clear. M4 Pace Car will be available. The Genuine BMW M Performance Parts on the M4 Pace Car, will be available to apply to the current M4 Coupe.
The only thing we are unclear of, is the transmission type for the Pace Car. The pics at SEMA are from a manual. Some people are speculating it will just be the M4 Coupe we have now, coded with livery, lights, BMW M Performance Parts and the 7-speed DCT.
Jordan mentioned PD modelers were there taking photos of the lights to complete the render. Maybe they took notice of the transmission.

Are you being sarcastic?
I'm genuinely not, 'My very least hope is to NOT releasing the moddable M4 as a new car called "M4 modify edition"', is, to me at least, quite clearly sarcasm.
So he wants the new M4 to be called the "M4 Modify Edition"? It looks like he doesn't want them to make it a new edition called "M4 Modify Edition", where is the sarcasm, I don't want that either and nothing suggest they would.
In the very least I hope they don't release a "Special Lights Edition" Safety Car, and the option available to add them to the M Performance safety Car if we get the lights...... Seriously.
Anyways back to topic.
Exactly, the sarcasm lies in the fact that nothing suggests that they would, and the fact that you'd have to be incredibly cynical to think that they would, add an entirely separate car called the "M4 Modify Edition". He obviously doesn't actually believe that they would do that, and as such it's a sarcastic joke.
Anyway, I'll say nothing more on the topic.
(Wouldn't usually pursue it but I happen to be mid-way through an essay/in the mood for writing)
Lights are going to be in the aero parts section? What's your source on this? You should be able to add that through GTAuto --> Aero Parts (as far as I know)
Read the OP, Polyphony mentions a rooftop light bar and grill flashers. Again, this as only to my knowledge. PD could be lying or I'm not Confucius. Or both, haha.Lights are going to be in the aero parts section? What's your source on this?
I see in the OP that rooftop flashers as well as grille flashers are to be included. They're just not shown in the images and I see nothing mentioning putting it as an option in aero parts. It really wouldn't make sense to put it as an option there. If anything, it'll probably be two different versions like the Skyline Pace Car has.Read the OP, Polyphony mentions a rooftop light bar and grill flashers. Again, this as only to my knowledge. I agree, but PD is infamous for having other color options for some cars as entirely different cars. Off the top of my head comes the Toyota FT-1 Graphite, but I know there are plenty more examples. The Skyline Pace Car actually wouldn't fit in the "different car as a color option" category though because the one without lights has more HP stock, among other differences. That seems unnessesary. Why have 2 cars when the option to installed the lights in "other" makes more sense. 1 car, add the lights if you want and don't if you don't, simple. 2 cars would make sense BEFORE the "other" option was around, but GT6 makes 2 cars redundant.
The car in the photos is not the complete version. The car we are getting will have the red/white lightbar and the blue grille leds. I doubt there will be two different cars.
If you read the original article from the PitStop blog (not the thread), it is mentioned at the end, that the car is subject to change before release.
This is what I believe we will get: one (1) BMW M4 M Performance Safety Car, complete with lightbar and grille leds + tuning parts and cosmetic upgrades for the normal M4 already in-game.
PD has 16 days to prove me wrong.
I would be surprised if the car as shown is not in the game.
I wouldn't. It is missing the warning lights. And why would they give as a Safety Car without lights, we already have the normal M4.
I know there are the two Nissans with similar liveries: normal version and the Safety Car.
The Nissan was at first a Nismo tuned Skyline to showcase the spirit of Gran Turismo and then they decided to turn it into a Safety Car.
The pictures are "work in progress" photos, Jordan himself mentioned that PD was at SEMA to scan and photo the lights for modelling.
I see no point in giving us a safety car that you have to buy the lights separately.
If that was the case, then the Safety Car decals should be optional aswell. Or the ///M livery. Or why not make the lights, decals and livery available for the excisting M4.
BMW (and PD) announced us that they give us a safety car with lights, and that is what I believe they do.
We shall see.
It would be silly to put in a safety car without lights.
It was mentioned previously (by Jordan I think?) that they were viewing the car with the lights for the first time at Sema and we're taking photos etc there for modelling purposes, and since that post I've been assuming that the initial release won't include lights but they will be added later when the modelling is done.
If we don't have lights at initial release you will have to toot the horn instead lol
A few more pics of the M4 for you guys. Polyphony are here photographing and scanning the lights on it right now, to be modeled when they get back to Japan.
