But Outside isn't in HD
Not at all. Probably you're not playing the game right. If you tune all cars to the max and put racing softs then that migh tbe the problem. You're stuck with 1000 cars that feel the same.
Try keeping cars as stock as possible with street tires and you'll start seeing what Gran Turismo is all about.
If that's not the case, then I really don't know what to tell you other than the PS3 accepts other games. Buy other games and start playing them from beginning to end. Sooner or later you'll feel the need to play Gran Turismo again.

👍 I just shuffled race for 3 hours It was fun and frustrating but far from boring!
It's not that it's getting boring. It's just that there isn't anything else to do.
That's why I'm doing other stuff like taking photos, reviewing cars, playing rounds with friends, etc.
Unfortunately, as many of you have discovered, GT5 is a very short game that boasts little to no replay value. Once you've completed the game, there's pretty much nothing left to do.
Or shuffle race. That's probably the best feature that the game has 👍
I also spend hours doing 400-500pp shuffle races when I find a decent room with them.
If your're bored try this, https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=247737 if you're not first place then you have something to practice!
Also take totally stock cars (and tyres) round the Nurburgring, start with low powered cars about 120bhp and work your way up or do them in classes, ie Integra type R v Renaultsport megane v Focus ST and Ford GT v Merc SLS v 458italia v Aston V12 vantage v Lambo Gallardo etc race their ghosts and see which is fastest stock and as a bonus the replays are BRILLIANT, then take some photo's in them replays!
P.S ALL AIDS OFF! try ABS off too, totally different experience!
Keep you busy and happy for a while!👍
...Yeah I'm bored with it, I think A-Spec career was an embarrassing shame in GT5.. too short, not by a little, I mean like 5 times smaller than it should be. GT5 is a waste of a great physics and gfx engine to me. I want more progression in the game, make me feel like I'm ''getting somewhere'' with it. ...
No flame retardant needed. I mostly agree with you. GT-mode should be massive and instead is embarrassingly small.
You see, the thing with GT5 is that much of the online racing you speak of isn't official. It's really hard to organize people to drag, drift, and cruise with you online. Not to mention the different driving physics between online and offline has alienated me from online mode all together. If you face it like a simple "game" yea. If you see it like a car nut encyclopedia and automotive playground, that big-little place on your head where you make your dirty dreams come true... A-spec its just the tip of the iceberg. Theres MUCH, MUCH more to do... online racing, car testing, car tuning, cruising online, drag racing, drifting, trading, etc...
This definitely. When I got my G27, it renewed the game for me completely, until I got bored of GT5 again six months later.I have two things to say on this subject:
1) If you're bored with GT5 and you don't have a wheel, get a wheel and start over. If all you've done is race with a DS3, you haven't raced at all.
When I went online in the past, I've always set up "track day" lobbies rather than race lobbys. This is a personal problem, but I don't like how everyone online uses Racing Soft tires. Every time I limit the tires to Sport Hards, everyone pretty much will just leave, or they'll shout at me for limiting the tires.2) I didn't buy GT5 to race against the A.I., I bought it to race against humans. Contrary to popular belief, there are good public rooms if you take the time to learn your way around the servers. Stepping out of your comfort zone a bit at first may help. If you think you're going to get everything set up just the way you like it, you'll probably be disappointed. Of course, you could always just set it up your own way, but then you'll have to wait for others to join. Again, you have to take the time.
Anyone else bored of Gran Turismo 5?

When I first got online, I had just bought a Superbird and threw every part I could on it, for no other reason except that I've always loved Plymouth Roadrunners of any kind (except the goofy Aspen ones). So, I'm looking at rooms when I see one called "Old Muscle Only". It sounded like a good opportunity to try out the old 'Bird, so I joined. It turned out that they were racing 7 lap shootouts at Daytona. Now, I'm not much of a NASCAR guy, and most of the time the idea of driving around in circles for five minutes at a time wouldn't appeal to me that much. However, this was, after all, the Superbird's natural habitat, so I stuck around for a while. While I was there, I met a lot of helpful and friendly people that I eventually ended up racing with regularly. It was their advice that led me to ditch the automatic transmission and ABS for good.
You see, going online three or four times isn't going to do it. It takes patience to build up some contacts, but it really is worth it. Online is what keeps me coming back to GT5. It's what pushes me to be better.
If you bored then your not playing it correctly.
Try racing online with a group of people that know how to race and you'll have a greater respect for Gran Turismo and be less bored. Unfortunately, off-line racing doesn't promote good driving ethics and can become boring.
It is much more rewarding to compete in a race and perhaps wining when racing actual people.

GT2, a 13 year old game, still keeps me coming back for more and more. How come? Nostalgic reasons? No. But rather because of an extensive and enjoyable career mode and a great selection of cars and tuning options. The same goes for GT3 and GT4, besides the latter. Not to mention the fact that none of them had online multiplayer. X-link doesn't count.Stephen220378I don't know why people think that the extremely shallow A-Spec mode has anything to do with the game being boring now, GT5 is almost a year and a half old, even if it was quadruple the size, most people would still have finished it a long long time ago. The game gets boring because it's old now, I get bored of most games well before they're a year old.
