Don't worry, I've double posted at times too. I'm still a fairly "new" member.[/QUOTE
Me too. I joined GTP in December, and occasionally double post. Some people do not mind double posting, while others absolutely freak out. Custom878 didn't freak out when I double posted a few minutes ago.

I usually don't mind if people double post, but I do get a little annoyed when it gets excessive (seen one person double post 9 times in a row!). Anyways, back on topic.

I usually assume a double-post was a mistake; it's triple-posting that really annoys me because at that point they obviously don't care.

Anyway

I really like the design of the Concorde; the long, sleak body looks good to me for some reason.

Not as boring, but I assume this SUV gets terrible gas mileage.

Here is another ford SUV that was even worse gas mileage and looks more boring.

It is the 2005 Ford Excursion Diesel.

My parents just sold our expedition and bought a brand new dart. Sold it for $3,500, but now the dealer wants $7,670 for it! We hit about five deer with that thing, but I guess the dealer has to make money somehow. As for that excursion, its a really cool SUV in my opinion. Would be better if it had a 7.3 liter engine in it.

$7,670 is incredibly expensive for a 2005 Excursion.
There must be lots of deer up in North Dakota. There are a crazy amount deer near me, see them every day crossing the street.

We had an expedition, not an excursion. The mpg was a horrible 12 miles per gallon.

Even 2001 Excursions can fetch nearly $20k with low miles and a 7.3. Only a 5.4 with higher miles would go for $7,700. ;)
The ones I see for sale, 2000-2005, usually have 100,000 or higher miles, and prices range from 5,500 to 10,000 dollars. I have seen a running one go for less than 4,000 dollars however, but this usually doesn't happen.

I completely forgot about that!

As for deer sighting frequency, I've been living in Fargo for 31 years and been driving in Fargo for 22 years and I've only seen 3 deer on the roads and never hit any. They're more common in the country, I'm sure, but not in the city.

Back on topic, I have a huge soft spot for the atrocious 1986 Chevy Astro.

Crap gas mileage and crap horsepower but room inside to spare. We drove all over the country in that thing and it was the first time my dad let me drive on the interstate. Lots of great memories served up in this thing. 👍

Saw one of these in fairly good nick earlier this week. I may or may not have yawned.

The boring pom -^, with the tough Aussie cousin:

But who developed this chassis into a better car? The Nigels? or the Bruces? I'll let you decide. From boring sleep inducer, down two very different paths, to brutal warrior saloons.

Nigel's car:

Bruce's car:

I'm gonna go with bruce on this one, but I'll confess to being biased ;)

Edit* Sorry the Vl Commodore was based on the Opel Rekord, while the Lotus Carlton was based of the Opel Omega that replaced the Rekord. With this in mind, this is what Holden did with the Omega that the Lotus Carlton was based on:

With you on this one. This was my chariot for two weeks two Octobers ago:

Will always have a soft spot for them thanks to that trip. Though I'm not sure that paint job justifies the "boring" tag on this particular example...

No it's not an AE86. That's pretty much all this thing is known for, which is too bad because they're actually pretty cool!
Um...what? I owned an S12 200SX in the late 80s, and I bought it even after looking at Corollas and Celicas. The V6 appealed to me initially, but after a seized #5 cylinder it was dropped in favor of a gennie FJ20ET touted in an article in Performance Car featuring the R30 Skyline and sourced through a Japanese engine importer.

Sorry for going on and on, I just miss the car.

I'm sure you do miss it man. They seem pretty nippy with those turbo engines. Sure it's known where I'm from for not being a Corolla, but I think that just gives it more character :)
