Only thing I can think of is the difference in online/offline grip levels. Lobby settings have far less grip than custom races.

Unless that's been changed, of course.
Ah, yeh, that makes sense, always forget that. I'll do some lobby testing at some point.

They do look a lot alike....

@Bivittavus88 Are the tyre rules in your practice sessions final for the race? I'm tempted to experiment with inters, they were only slightly slower when I tried last week but might be a bit better on temperature/wear, but if they're not allowed I won't bother testing them.

They're final. The original plan was to give the option. But, that doesn't really fit with the whole "spec series" thing. Sooo, wets only.

I am tempted to test the inters now, though . .

I accidentally switched to RSS when @Illum_Concept hosted a lobby, last night.

Jeeeeeeesus! It was like wearing leather soled boots while walking on ice :scared:
Mate, that's how I feel with the Wets. So much time to make up, I just cannot get to grips with this combo (pun very much intended).

TC on? TC off? Rear bias and trail brake? Front bias and just point and squirt? Early gear changes? Rev it out? Do you know what, it's too hard. I think I'll walk instead. Someone pass me the brolly.....

Don't be like Jeremy Clarkson by mashing the power out of the corners. The best technique I and several others found is to bleed on the power gently at the corner exit and effectively short-shift up to 4th gear to control the wheelspin.

But, but, but, POWERRRRRRRRRR (in my best Clarkson impression). ;)

Brakes 5 to the rear, trail a bit. TC-1. Throttle at 90/95% up to about 145k in 3rd.

"You punted me!"

"sry m8 was on inters racing incident"

I see your game.
I tried the inters during my solo practice and I hated them
Ok, wets it is then 👍

I tried wets on the front/inters on the back when Pigems hosted the practice, I preferred the feel because you still have the traction from the front tyres out of the slow corners but the back end was more loose so you could get better rotation. There wasn't much in it in terms of laptime.

I'll have plenty of cars ahead of me to use as brakes.

Note to self: if I see anyone behind me, move out of the way. My brakes barely stop me. :scared:

That was my test. Wets, BB 5 rear, TCS 1. Didn't have as much rotation as I normally like, but I feel like the TT isn't able to be saved with a normal boot full of throttle if you induce oversteer.

Note. Do not try the handbrake
