Bloody nora, here goes half an hour of training I just had at Donington National to the land of time wasted. And I just came here to write some "better bring your A-Game" slang since I got my time there down to 1:04.1 with potential to go under 1:04. :grumpy: Oh well, at least its still Donington... really love that track now.

@ Cam: Try to go for elite and see if you re comfy with it, you can still activate ABS or traction control. I use elite with everything off except ABS, for example. Terroniums setups are probably the best you can get anyway, so using those for a start is always a good idea.

Ok, so ABS is a must for me... I lock the crap out of the brakes if I don't have it. Heavy brake foot I am guessing is function of too fast into corner.

Traction control is now off...I am getting the hang of that. I slide a LOT more now than before.

Stability Control was off and I spun out if I touched the curbs! Turned that back on and I seem to have better control of putting the car where I need it to be. I'll work on turning this one off a bit more, but for now it is on.

I had just worked out the braking area for me on the initial course, have yet to find that happy spot for the new course. I plowed a lot of fields tonight and I worked on my masonry skills as well and I can say the walls are indeed solid concrete, and finally I learned that the kitty litter is really helpful when you have full damage on!

If nothing else, it's just kind of cool to share a fun game with others, this is something I haven't done since I played the original BF 1942 for PC way back when. WOOT!

hondy
just a quick heads up, Donington nat is going to be replaced this week with Donington GP,

Donington GP will be replaced with london white hall,

this is due to the blue bales at the end off the straight being knocked into the middle of the track in some guys screen but not everyones, this is causing a unfair advantage to some racers,

sorry guys

I noticed that when yestarday steve said that blue all around the middle of the road i git confiuse because i see all of it in same place didn't even one moved . So it shows in deffernt places in some screen of the racers and the ather NO !!!!!! And i didn't touch this blue yestarday and i make three laps i can't see it in the middle of the track but steve said that blue in the middle how !!!!!!?

MAD 🤬... At the very start of the TT your car sam hit the blue bales, Zee seen this happen too yet hondy didn't. I think a lot of it is down to connections its like cars teleporting, running through gravel i even seen one guy wall ride last night, im guessing its BAD connections. At GP we shouldn't have the bale problem . 👍

@ Cam. Like FLX said try elite and add aids if needed, really all the tuning options are there to drive with no aids, Tuning for me is all about your personal preference to suit your driving style, so its best if you can set your own cars up to suit you. A few quick pointers to help you would be drop tire pressure, i go around 35s a little less at the back, add downforce most cars run best with full, tweek roll bars to find a good balance. Tuning is a big part of the game and its amazing how the car can be fine tuned for each track 👍

If zee seen that i saw hondy before me hit that cause after hondy hit it i crashed in it .maybe me making proplem for the group because of my connection not my setup mate so thanks for the advise for tuning 

Crazy ish. Tested the Corvette on Donington GP earlier and what can I say... It was feeling so good right there on that track just a few weeks ago, equally great at Donington National yesterday but a lot worse when going back to GP again. Without ever changing anything in the settings or tuning... Huh?!

Cant match my time from Diehards by almost half a second..? Whats happening?

Was the forecast identical in both cases? If not, then there may be a different temperature on the tires from the start, showing less grip.

:lol: Ok boss, its a tall order to hit them times in a GT3 anyway :D But we can only try, and hope the GT1s have a bad day, im late 128s at the mo :)

Well, I smell blood, sweat and tears....the GP race is going to be 15 laps. It's going to be +/- 20 min of skill, endurance and concentration....good luck you boinks :)

Thats gonna be a tall order to drive faultless on this very technical and demanding track for 15 laps, sounds like pure bliss, tho! Love challenges like those. At the moment in training I usually have 2 bad laps out of 10... On the absolute edge though, of course.

@ steve: High 1.28s? My Stingray smells prey... :D

Holy crap. I'm in a gt1 and for a SINGLE lap I can hit 1:33 to 1:34.

I go off road every 2-3 laps or so.... How the heck do you squeeze 128 out of a gt3? You must drive the ever living ****e out of those cars!!!!

Some say all his undertrousers are made from used race tire rubber and that he was raised by a tribe of Indians called the Matechi. All we know... he's called the Steve!

cough cough!!!!!!!!!, arnt we forgeting someone???????

Damn, sorry you re right of course. That ussr dude is quite fast too. Shame he is seen so rarely and you can never be sure if somebody new isnt him. :D

Come on ussr its a great challenge this, trying to match the speed of the GT1 cars 👍 So Zee hows the new wheel mate?

I've updated my ps3 up to newest firmware 4.0 and my Shift 2 doesn't boot up !!!!! Does anyone had this problem with any other game, because there is a lot of reports from users saying that after update ps3 freezes more frequently than before. After quite long brake from playing Shift 2 i wanted to do some practice but instead i can't even start up my game:grumpy:

 I know what happend now. While i was playing Shift 2 my ps3 crashed on my and insted hit reset button i'd switched power off. That only corrupted my save file. Luckly i did back up, after last time when i've lost my save file. :)

Now only i need to practice more because i'm not in my best shape :sly: I'm playing this game so long now i can't even remember. So i've was borred a little.

We are going to do two TT's tonight....your best time will count for points 👍

Donington is a narrow track as we all know, so please be cautious as the corners and sweeping turns are not for overtaking (unless the car in front runs very wide or goes off track). Be patient and wait for the straights to do the passing....please :scared:

I'd like to make a request to the race stewards that Steve officially have to drive a class PPOSWNB...Given that he's doing 1:28's in the "slow class"...

This new class is developmental in nature, oh sure, there are some bugs to work out in the cars, but he'll still win the freaking race driving his brand new, Richard Childress Raching PPOSWNB (i.e. Prius Piece of **** With No Battery)

Said differently, I vote that Steve has to drive an un-areodynamic, one cylinder, radioactive sheetmetal toyota in every race. Oh, and not like a 2011/12 model either...nothing new...used, like version ONE of the Prius....As you said to USSR about Nord Steve "...there's challange in that..." (or something like that!!!)... :)

This of course comes from my deep seated desperation that I can't get my GT3 Lambo below 1:33!!! :ill:
