Oh snap... I might not make it in time on Sunday neither. Big football showdown, Stuttgart vs the bavarian Basterds and its the late game on Sunday. Dunno if I can make it in time from the sportsbar to my rig. :scared:

On another note, who will be in anyway? With Zee out for this week, NEW uncertain, me uncertain and ussr/tex/rom/jay M.I.A. (btw: hellooooohoooooo, anybody there of you lot..?) might it not be better to postpone this weeks race?

i agree on this 1, this championship was thought up to allow there to be a very close overall championship table, if 2 of the top runners miss this week
we will be back to a 2 horse race and i know thats what i dont wont, i think steve would agree with me on that to, however that would also mean no more racing this year,
however USSR should have his freezing problem fixed in january so that is one more guy in the championship aswell witch should mix it up a bit

what dose every one think
 
Cool. Thanks yall! I think its the right decision to keep things interesting. And I really hope some of those who put their names down will come back next year, this series is so great it deserves a big and busy field of racers! :cheers:
 
FLX, on the cars subject, what tracks are you guys looking at, mtheres a track up in scotland that evry corner apart from 2 are blind apexed, i have driven it many times and its very technacal, its call KNOCKHILL, have a look at a local guy running his escoet cozzy around it





i think you will agree it would be very very fun to have it in the game, the BTCC drivers and superbikes use it every year and they a love it, wheather is always rubbish but that adds to the fun and because its cold the turbos run better :D, let me know what you think, 👍

Guys, I've been out coz I did got fed up with shift2 problem of not keeping tunes online. Not that they're any good but at least the cars behaved.

So, i'm into endurance races in the other game (9h tsukuba done for the 2nd time adn well into 9h of le mans now)

Until I finish those no more shift2 for me (online at least).

Next year tough (just around the corner so not to long until then) I may have another go at online racing. Rusty as hell but you guys really are cool to race with. If not c-ya on pCARS ;) ;)

Naturally, i'll be around here although things may slow a bit due to Christmas.

@ hondy: Somebody already proposed Knockhill and its gotten some likes and positive comments. Wild ride that.

Actually it was worth to join just for the fantabulastic tracks I didnt even know about that other members introduced! And as it looks now, the hard work of me and another member might pay off and there is the chance that the Solitude Rennstrecke will make it into the game! If so, I ll probably cry tears of joy the first time around that track without grannys in Toyotas and speed limits! :D
 
PS @ Rommie: Two times Tsukuba 9h?!? Why you torturing yourself?!? I m 60 laps deep into Suzuka 1000 at the moment, in a standard Super GT already 2 laps ahead of the pack and its so mindboggingly boring I make a mistake every 2 laps cause I fell asleep at the wheel.

Come back from the dark side, dude! :(
 
Well yeah Cam, I invested the horrendous amount of 25 Euros, so I m a Project CARS Team Member now. The plan is to make a all-in world class everything DX11 PC version, a DX9 version with same physics, engine, same content but less "holy eyecandy, batman!"-graphics and a console port of the DX9-version that will run on steady 30 fps. The console version will probably be where the sales will be at, so I dont think they will cancel the console port.

I remember reading about a possible console. FLX, I'm counting on you to put a lot of influence for a console port and GOOD COLLISION DETECTION.

I did it twice because 1st time I did (before the suspend function) I finished it but after crossing the finish line it stalled... :crazy: I got no trophy, no money and lost 12h STRAIGHT to do it.

Now I had to do it...

I also wanted to gold every event so now I got the chance of doing the 24h events... in chunks :lol:

24H Lemans in a Peugeot HDI FAP with NO TCS with 12h rain (night and day) will wake you up :) The AI though... :yuck:

Anyway, I'll get out of the dark side soon. After the 24h I'll probably stay away from PS3 car games and practice on pCARS.

Now that we have leaderboards and friends and multiplayer is heading our way, it seems a good challenge after I setup the G27 on PC :banghead: Damned settings :ouch:

I won't sell Shift2 anyway so, i'll eventually play it but mostly because wife does not like the rig in the bedroom where the PC is :lol:
 
What the 🤬 dude, just come back to this championship next year, its too bloody good fun to be missed! And if your temper can take a glitch like that after 9h Tsukuba for nothing without throwing the PS3 out the window (fat respect btw, I d probably have booked the next flight to Japan to whoop Kaz' funky 🤬 personally) then some goofed setups shouldnt bother you that mucho!
 
Well, since you ask nicely... ok, ok
But I won't touch Shift until next year. That way if i got bad results I blame myself and not the game. Maybe this way I can play it longer :lol:
 
roms back, this is the best chapionship out there mate, so much fun its unreal, 4 still in the hunt for the championship after 3 rounds!!!! class :D

hondy....get her Chanel no 5 ( on a special at Boots at the moment 1/2 price)...she might just weaken and give you some quality time alone mate :drool:

Sorry to hear about your bad luck Steve. If any conciliation, it happened to me as well last year and it was this ~ close of me packing up S2U. I think it was during the Combo series and if it was not for you guys I probably wont be playing this game anynore. My latest glitch are freezes when I have the telemetry screen on WTF !

Flx I don't know about Sunday the 8th of Jan. As far as I can recall, hondy won't be able to race on the 8th. Correct me if I am wrong. I am up for some racing if you guys want to do something on Sunday.

Anyway I sincerely hope our racing will continue and go from strength to strength this year. I have a few ideas for us lot to keep us busy till CARS hit the shelves 👍

edit: if any anybody wants to join us lot, you are welcome. This is not an exclusive club and it will be nice to see more people racing with us :)

Did Santa Coca Cola finally bring yall busters the 10 Euros it takes to sign up to Project CARS? You guys really dont know what you re missing, its so cool to see a game shape for yourself and be part of the process. Since some of yall are literally living in Shift 2 world (you know who you are :D ) I really dunno what the hell yall waiting for..? And if it sells around 20% of Shift 2 you ll get your invested money back anyway.
