Well that was eventful, what a nightmare. Vidz to follow wild. Getting the fastest lap in the race, on my last lap made it a little better. PS never try stopping and starting a camera on the old hairpin :)
 
LOL, congrats for the fastest lap, your Steveness! How the hell did you do that?!? I tried to lower my time during the last 3 laps but it was hopeless cause my rear tires were grilled despite driving the majority of the race relatively calmly... Is a Matech GT3 faster when driven on the rims? :D

PS: Sorry again if I hit you hondy! Like I said I tried to avoid you and felt nothing so I just went on. We probably should try to avoid driving through hairpins next to each other... Remember Silverstone @ Diehards? :ill:
 
Being so far off the pace, and aware of not wandering all over the track, I decided at the start to get out of the way and let you all go. It was fun. At the least it let's me know how much more I can improve. Clearly there is so much more to tuning and driving than I ever gave this PS3 "game" credit for....

passing tip for GT1 cars,
your car is so much faster and that means there is no need or hurry to get passed a GT3 car be wise and wait for the straghts as the last thing you wont to do is take your self and/or the other person out!!!!!!

Well hondy, what can I say... Sorry mate! From your view it looks really bad how I hit you. If I would have seen it like that, I would have slowed down and let you pass me again for sure. But I really dont understand it, I never saw your car vertically in front of mine?!? I use helmet cam so I have restricted rear view but really, all I saw was a bit of your GTs snout on the far left and like I said, I felt nothing so I thought it was a clean pass and moved on.

Maybe its a good thing I can understand what you said about me in pt1 due to your highlanderish accent! :D

yeh maybe that is a good thing, i was pritty %$*&£$% $$%^££$ £%$£%£"% to say the leased, bet steve was to, he was realy unlucky, a sliding hondy is very hard to miss especially when he is not in control and is trying to hold on to his matech beast :grumpy:

its cool i have calmed down, water under the bridge 👍

Big time, that just totally messed my race up. It allowed Zee passed which killed it for me, his car was so slow on the corners yet fast on the straights so i was on the brakes loads, then his teleporting really messed up my flow. Still its a challenge and good fun 👍 Fastest lap buzzing, in practice i was hitting 127s every lap after lap 1 over 10 laps the car was so good, but it means jack in races like this :ouch:
 
🤬 happens to all of us. I remember a certain hondy shooting into my blindspot in the hairpin at Silverstone so I guess this means we re equal. :D

Real pity about Newdriver's connection problems. I don't know how we are going to sort that out. The poor guy is thinking of quiting the series :crazy:
 
It's weird this game...clearly from Steve's video he did not touch me in the last lap, but I felt a bump that got me spinning. The video speaks for itself...cracking last lap Steve 👍

The dusk event did it for me. I could not carry the speed through the corners that I managed during the day. I set my car up with slight oversteer for corner entry, and it killed me on the more slippery track. I could not manage one lap under 1.28:xxx....oh well I suppose that is how you learn. Anyways it was great fun as usual :)

Zee i realy i hate that freezy game because of the poor connection .all of you have agood fast DSL cabel and i think when i play wz all of you its my luky day to complete the race and if i complete it there is anther proplem my speed of any car its not the same so its useless and 15 laps its much much for my connection it will not stay long time connecting to my autologe .before i make it in diehard and my time is good in this trake but becouse of the bad wetherd now the wifi connection is bad bad badgood race for all of you and good video show steve ,hondy keep it up champs .flesh keep it up mate soon you will be fast also

Its a really shame sam as your a good clean driver. @ Zee i think your problem is your connection most races your car jumps so its very hard for people running behind you, As you can see from my vids i was well aware of this and give you loads of room and never hit you once, its defo the lagg if we hit when your jumping. Are you on a wired connection? also is there any lap tops running? lagg can be really bad if people are uploading as i have seen with hondy, all needs to be off, im sure you know all this tho. What speed are you Zee?
 
Yuppo! They re attempting a 1:1 conversion of the DX9 PC version to PS3, Xbox 360 and WiiU with a goal of steady 30 FPS, unlike Shift 2.

Only difference will be that there wont be a weekly playable alpha/beta/whatever build since Sony/Microsoft online store policy doesnt allow that.

Only way you can enjoy this game is to play online and only with stock cars. No tunning no liveries no extra paint on your car. I've had the same problem you did, ive tried to race in some of those races and most of the time i've got disconnected. Most of the time i got disconnected the first second when race started. That's why i can't enjoy any online comeptition with my tuned cars. So every time i race online is with stock cars. Just set same car for every one and enjoy your race.

Every time you pick tunned car and with some extra pain with some extra liveries your connection sends information about your setting to server, and thats too much for our slow internet. I've found a way to avoid that :) My races are now without dc and on the same ground. Every one had the same car. It's up to you what you can do with it 👍

Good news for me is that i will change my web provider, but i had to wait until new year for my agreement expire. Shift 2 will be a history then and ill hope Absolute Supercars will gather some of the old gand 👍

how do i not get D.C.s then?????
my cars are liveryed to the hills and tuned to bits and i dont D.C., sam do not use a wireless internet connection, get your ps3 wired up to the internet, i have no problem wireless but i also have 20 meg fiberoptice broadband internet, zee also mate wire you ps3 up and you will see the differance ten fold,

Slow Internet is my nightmare too, so i can relate to your problems. In gt5 i saw cars jumping around all-over the race track and i was never sure where this cars really were. I had the same problem you did, checked yesterday and tried race without tuned cars. But it's hard sometimes to find on-line lobby with cars that are not tuned. Thats first and second if i set any lobby with same cars people usually don't want to race them. But eventually I've found some people to race and i was pleasantry surprised. It was like i was playing in career mode. So you may be right.
 
FLX .... Do you belong to the CARS program, is that how come you know what's going on there??? I had read on some sim racing site that the focus was PC only.... Don't tease me with this "...it's conning to PS3..." talk!!! :-)

Well yeah Cam, I invested the horrendous amount of 25 Euros, so I m a Project CARS Team Member now. :D The plan is to make a all-in world class everything DX11 PC version, a DX9 version with same physics, engine, same content but less "holy eyecandy, batman!"-graphics and a console port of the DX9-version that will run on steady 30 fps. The console version will probably be where the sales will be at, so I dont think they will cancel the console port.
 
Sweet! That's awesome. I guess that's part of the fun of having access to the up to date info as a team member. I wonder what EA is thinking right now? R they worried these guys might really start some new trend that doesn't involve them....

Oh snap... I might not make it in time on Sunday neither. Big football showdown, Stuttgart vs the bavarian Basterds and its the late game on Sunday. Dunno if I can make it in time from the sportsbar to my rig. :scared:

On another note, who will be in anyway? With Zee out for this week, NEW uncertain, me uncertain and ussr/tex/rom/jay M.I.A. (btw: hellooooohoooooo, anybody there of you lot..?) might it not be better to postpone this weeks race?
