Well the Peugeot needs High RPM to hit the power limit.

As you well know jb, policing parts is an impossible business... aero parts are certainly all banned, but beyond that all I can really do is offer a 'recommended' list and set power/weight limits. :indiff: What's listed is what I tested with, essentially. Those weight parts/ballast combos were the ones I used to get the field competitive, so basically the fastest option available when it comes to that.

Yeah i understand matey so i'll put it another way are turbo's allowed to save hassle? The gauges could be checked in GT5 dunno about 6 even so it will be a pain i guess. I'll use one if allowed up to you.👍

Put me down for entry, PSN: zootee. I would consider myself a beginner so might not be the best but am a passionate follower of the real life BTCC. Put me down for Renault, I'd also like to race solo but can accept team members. Now, do you race every Thursday or do you only race on calendar dates?
Thank you

👍

No trouble, we're welcoming to all skill and experience levels, so long as you're clean.

We do race every Thursday - the 20th and 27th of this month are test nights before the season kicks off on 6th March for its 8-week run.

Ah that's good!

Sorry for sounding dumb is it every Thursday or are those two testing dates Thursdays or do the race dates all fall on Thursdays. Just want to get all clued up before I end up missing a race!

They're all Thursdays, yes. Test nights on a Thursday, season races on a Thursday. That said, I and others in the series may sometimes set up test lounges at random on any day so you might be lucky enough to run into one at other times in the week 👍

Ah perfect, I'm online most nights and will always come and test.

Looking forward to it now!

Rolo ive barely driven any of the new tracks in all honesty least of all Ascari:nervous: Had a very quick look how firm are things regarding them grey concrete areas? Like the one at the first turn and a little later at that kink chicane thing.:boggled: Sure this has probably been covered so apologies.:guilty:

Tough one to manage because they're both incredibly fiddly things... I'd say in general 2 wheels on the white stuff is OK, which means you should be able to take a bit of grass too. I wouldn't recommend cannoning through at a million mph miles off the line though, that would be penalty worthy :sly:

In the TOCA races there was occasionally a lot of side-by-side action in those narrow, fiddly parts... got a bit hairy at points :scared:

Yeah i agree cant help feel a little lenience is sensible:tup:. Thats cool i didn't wanna slow down like a complete dingbat for no reason especially through that kink chicane would no doubt end up with a car right up the chuff!!:ouch: Lots of rust to iron out for me and unfamiliar track's aint helping.:lol:

Yea I raced in the Toca ascari rounds, it got a bit to close for comfort at times through those chicanes. Not really a fan of the track myself.
Yeah cant help agree ive only done 3 or 4 laps to try and find a setup but it lacks a little flow imo. *Cough wheres Spa!:sly:*

Since this issue has arisen in TOCA, I'll clarify it for this series.

Regarding wheel rims - they count as part of the optional tuning you can do to your cars. Whether you run stock, inch up or two inch up is entirely up to you for your car; whatever suits you for any track.

The wheel rim glitch was fixed in the 1.03 update I believe.

Im a bit  the rim bug to my knowledge was patched so where's the advantage.

Using larger wheels on cars with wider rear tyres gave the car the same tyre width as those on the front, which would completely upset the balance. It was more of a disadvantage than advantage.

Yep i understood that before it was patched so was under the impression it wasn't a problem now post patch. :)

After drinking a beer and putting all the cars into a hat - I picked out the 307 which is what I'll take for this Season. Humberside Racing however is taking a backseat and will only be powering the car..

Team name shall be 'Peugeot Sport UK' (powered by HSR). 👍

Noted.

Anyone up for some initial testing tomorrow night?

Decided to get a head start with running the Genesis in a private shakedown at Ascari. Without touching the camber, my personal best was a 2:19.4.
