No not at all, head over to the thread and sign-up. Pick yourself a car number and a colour scheme (doesn't matter if it clashes). That colour scheme may depend on whether you team up with anyone or not, it's worth asking 👍

The parts you can fit are listed in the images in the OP. Aero parts are banned.
If a part listed there is tuneable (e.g. customisable suspension, LSD, transmission, brakes) then you are allowed to fiddle with it. I kept the parts default/constant in testing just so we were all on the same page for easy comparison. So long as the cars are on par before anybody fiddles with them, then nobody can say the reason for anyone leading is an overpowered car rather than the fact they can tune better.
You can add more ballast than listed too, or do a different weight reduction/parts/ballast combo if you think it helps handling, but the weights listed are the minimum permitted. What's listed in the OP is what I found to be the fastest combination of weight parts + ballast.
You could also put in turbos if you wanted and power limit them down, or not fit some of the engine parts and add more turbo. Again, as long as your car is 305hp.
Ultimately I can't police anything apart from obviously visible aero parts and the Power/Weight limit. I suppose you could say the parts in OP are recommended rather than enforced, but the aero ban is definitely enforced. That includes aero kits, not just wings.

So basically the same as the previous BTCC, tuning allowed, no aero 305bhp and a set weight limit for each car.
I'm tempted but with the issues I've had with the game and my connection I'm not sure whether or not I'll even be allowed to race....I'm fed up with being dc'd from the lobbies. I've done a few things differently my end, but I can't say whether or not it has helped my internet connection or not. I haven't played gt6 online to find out.

👎 To be honest in my experience you don't lag, you just disconnect from time to time and I still don't understand why. OK well in that case I'll take your name off, but if there's room to sign up again then of course you're welcome to. 👍

Ian and I will be doing some testing on Sunday to check out his connection and to see if he can race...fingers crossed for him...I'm assuming that the flat floor aero is also banned? I 've not fitted it nor do I know if it even affects the cars handling or top speed

Rolo - I did a race at Ascari a few weeks ago and found a problem. I had the 1st pit box (nearest to turn 1) and when it exited the pit box the car crashed in the pit lane each and every time.
This may have been a problem with my car, rather than Ascari, but it needs checking.
