We need to buy some more Volvo's in, stock is running low.

Has anyone else spent any time trying the FR's? Are they competitive? In season 6 the BMW was a controversial car choice as it seemed slow, but in the hands of the right driver it handled exceptionally well. That Hyundai looks quite nice, I'm not particularly good at racing FR's though. I can cope with the FF understeer, but oversteer can catch me napping.

Thanks Skeng, any idea how that compares to the FF's? I've not tried a lap of Spa yet, I'll have to put some laps in myself, it isn't a track that I'm overly familiar with and I've never really understood its popularity. Hopefully the track will grow on me.

That poor old VW is struggling Rolo. Lol. Fuji is a must for seeing whether it's capable of keeping up on the straights, it's quite a heavyweight.

That's good news about your connection Malcolm. I wonder if there has been a hot fix from PD to help cure the issue? I have had some sessions online that have been perfectly fine, but generally this is when I'm in a lobby with only 1 or 2 people and their connections are very good.

It's very odd lol, the GT gods have decreed that I may play online again. But the most people in a lobby I joined was only 5-6 so this Thursday's test will be the decider.

Bit worried about the 'rocco now :scared:

I'm open to team offers. My pace is probably midfield at best so I'll be interested in the 'Best of the Rest' team championship with another midfield runner, or if any of the front-runners want to ruin their chances at getting the overall team championship then I'm up for that as well

Come on, the legend of Spa is not compelling you!?
'The legend of Spa' doesn't make it a better track to race. Don't get me wrong, I've had a couple of good battle's around there that I've really enjoyed, but that was more down to the competition. Spa is a 'meh' track. Lol

Malcolm - Good luck on Thursday mate, I hope that the connection holds up. If I were you, I'd test it out on some busy lobbies before Thursday. I tried some Nascar rooms, they are usually busy and people use mic's, so if you're lagging you usually hear about it.

ok. I was wanting to use the Volvo is there's still space. If anyone fancies teaming up in the Scandinavian beast? Less that is your accepting the Civic now...

Have you confirmed the Volvo?

I'm running that but on my own currently, pretty average and can't tune for s**t but if your down for it we can form a team...

Sounds about right, though maybe overplaying my tuning and driving abilities :dopey:. I'm wanting to make a team piesty lfc, so could have another team Volvo.

Cool,

We can team up then! I'll leave the team name upto you and if you tune yourself perhaps you could send the settings my way once your sorted?

As a Ford guy I feel abit dirty joining forces with a Honda guy!

It's great to see yet another team forming, good work. :)

I'm still on schedule to have my internet connection sorted out on the 4th, so on the 5th and 6th I'll be online testing and making sure that everything is working okay. I'm going to have to put in some effort if I'm to qualify for the main races each week and I'm sure that the competition will be tough.

I'm really gutted that I had to drop out of the Megane trophy, if I had continued I would've had a guaranteed place for the main racing. I had to quit though, not only through sheer frustration of getting disconnected, but also for the benefit of others on track. Ah well.

I'm looking forward to the challenge of this season, its gonna be tough. :) The cars are good, although perhaps not quite evenly matched yet, but I'm sure that with a bit more time things will even themselves out slightly.

Pretty hard to perfectly match the cars but once they are within 2-3 tenths thats fair enough i think

Some will be better at some track , some at others

Very true, same goes with the cars too. Some people find a certain car easier to drive than someone else.

Finally the financier's are happy, marketing can now start. The new team of 'Bloodhound Racing' are ready to go hunting. Priesty_lfc and myself have the driving seats and are donning red paint work. Colour specific undecided as of yet. Sponsor space is available now :D

Nice one Rolo.

Perhaps try making the faster cars slightly heavier instead of making the slow cars lighter.

Got up to 19.5 at ascari in my nissan. Worst track ever for close pack racing like btcc expecially with new sand grip lol

18 was decent at ascari?

Good job we're not actually racing there then!

I was doing 14s but a lot of the pack were 16s.
