tokyo pole had to be draft because my best with nissan at tokyo is 51 7xx

51 1 is pretty amazing to be a non draft lap

it did feel superior at apricot so maybe 10 kg might be needed , see how next week goes first at grand valley

the bmw did match it everywhere at apricot except the uphill sections in sector 2 so im not 100 pct sure

Don't forget we're running the official test race at Apricot first next week, before GVS.

@AudiMan2011 has replaced quade on the stewards' panel. Need someone that hasn't gone AWOL.

but bmw does 0-350 in 1s! @ x)

ok, i did achieve pole with draft. but my PB is 51.2 anyway
BUT! you now know why DPR split. me and the nissan go together brilliantly. so increasing the weight when your achieving normal times is pretty unfair
anyway good racing guys :)

Do you have a "big" set up on the car?

I would consider a "normal" time to be one without set up (as it's at baseline before tuning). And in my case that's a 52.0.

Dont be too afraid of change because sometimes it can benefit the balance of the car .

We still have more races to go , as i said before im not 100 pct sure on a weight increase yet

Also you guys hot lap a lot too so you will achieve some superb times

Does draft work in Q?

I'm not against change necessarily, in fact I welcome it (as long as it's not reinventing the wheel at this stage)... it's just gotta be the right change - the worst thing to do is to change unnecessarily. With people against mid-season changes it has to be gotten right now.

how much change you thinking? as i been testing with certain weights just incase this happened lol

That depends on how much faster you and skeng go, how much setup work you've done.

To be honest, without a setup it's one of the poorest cars due to the understeer... so it's going to be tricky to balance making it genuinely better at base setup and penalising those who've tuned it right. If you're doing a 51.7 without draft but with setup, and I'm doing 52.0 with neither, that's not toooo bad.

At the moment I'm not changing it. It remains to be seen.

Laguna Seca is first on the waiting list if I need to chop out one of the more straight-line based circuits. I think the calendar is a little too heavily biased that way, but let's see how next week goes first.

No more than 10 kg , when i tested at 1450 it was better balanced in the corners so its a catch 22 thing .

Some cars just shine at some tracks , its really hard to perfectly balance the cars at all tracks but they all look close and competitive.

Any changes should be minor , id say

I think the Peugeot and BMW are pretty evenly matched around apricot hill now. Had an epic 11 lap battle with Nissman tonight! Great racing! :) Tokyo and Indy I do think the Renault and Peugeot had the advantage, however they will suffer on the more technical tracks. Maybe it will even out over a season, difficult to say. I wouldn't rush into any changes until we have raced at some more circuits.

tbf, he blitz me around my course, with me on no setup. Dunno my setup times

1450 the car still felt fine just a few tenths slower.
the car just suits me so well. i can drive it quicker than anything with no tune

Another thing worth bearing in mind is that the order of the tracks on the calendar was randomly selected (thanks random.org :sly:). If I wanted to make things look better, I'd put straight-line track, then handling track, and alternate that way, but the way it is sometimes there are 2 or 3 of one kind of track lumped together. So it might look like the calendar is biased, or the car specs are wrong, but it's just that some cars use more of their better tracks up quicker. It should still balance out by the time GP/D comes around.

I think it's worth testing at Laguna Seca in the week before next Thursday. Tokyo on the block.

This test session went a bit better than the one from last season.

Renault definitely felt fast at Indy but I realised why I said I would not tune FFs again since GT5.

I'll need to start work on refined a setup for the Merc soon.

It was nice to see such a good turnout tonight, well done to everyone who participated, thank you very much for you help and dedication. 👍

I don't know whether it was a glitch, but my mate managed to roll his car online o.o, can anyone explain? But also watch out, if it wasn't a one off glitch. It didn't reset his car.

trues nissan is higlhy tuned, remember he had a tuner tune it :)

Yeah, his Nissan has been tuned well, I'm not sure whether he has had it tuned for Tokyo and Indy though. I don't think that it had been changed specifically for those tracks.

its a good car , i havent mastered the sliding with it as yet . I only get oversteer in 1st gear everything else understeers

the 5 speed box seems to help it out as well

Post sometimes I should be good almost anytime, as off night job Monday tuesday wednesday thursday :)
