I was shocked in the 4 lap toyko race, blue ran off as I held up Niss.
Come the home straight I think a megane blasted past us both!

Then pits where the pits really!
Car just went up a down going down pit lane then did a 10mph crawl to the pit crew.
Coming out just ghosted though a car but still lagged about it.
Why lag about when nothing there and why then ghost right in to a car?

I love the pitting thing I just hate the way it can make or wreck your race.

Yeah I hate the pit glitches, but I love the strategy. Quite often I find that my car has slowed to 12mph for no apparent reason, on Friday I was doing 9mph into the pit box. I lost probably 4 seconds to Rolo.

I'd still rather keep the pit stops though.

It did something similar in the Silverstone Race of BTCC-7... Would have won the damn race if it wasn't for the pits loosing me time and causing me to fall back!

Most races i try to pit ahead of anyone on the same lap as me or pit alone .

Pitting in traffic will ruin your race. Its happened so many times to all of us.

But the game is random sometimes , ive pitted behind people and come out in front of them , go figure.

I think it also depends on when you join the room which determines where your pit box will be. I'm sometimes one of the first to join meaning my box is near the pit exit.

When I run at the front, I try to go as long as possible with the rest of the leaders and try to pit before the rest of the traffic if the pit lane is dodgy i.e Motegi East.

No, only Thursdays do.

Can still do "unofficial" tests on other days however.

Anyone can do some testing anytime they like, just get onto a track and run as many of the cars as possible and make a note of their fastest lap times. 👍

Ran the Merc, Nissan and Renault at Laguna today. I tried to cobble a setup together for the C4 but the understeer was still catastrophic.

Renault- 1:35.2
Merc- 1:35.5
Nissan- 1:35.6

Haven't run any FFs there yet myself but if the Renault/Peugeot is a bit faster there than the FRs then I think it's time for a weight increase.

Can do. Focusing on Laguna Seca at the moment, and not so much on doing test races tonight, but can fit one or two races in if you want.

Thursday 8th May Test Information:

7pm UK Start.

Race 1 - Apricot Hill (14 Laps, Pit 6 - 10)

Spec checks. 10-minute Qualifier to be run as per a normal Race 1. No Pre-Qualifying simulation this week.

Race 2 - Grand Valley Speedway (10 Laps, Pit 3 - 7)

15-minute practice session before the race.

1 point will be awarded for participation in each race. Race results are not important. Please drive cleanly and carefully.

Laguna Seca replaces Tokyo on the calendar. No more planned calendar changes.

So it's not suzk it's not tokyo its laguna first track now?
If all fair in car setups why all this track balance balance needed.
Racing bends best car all about what team setup can do, so lets just race and moan later on cars.
Let BTCC/8 be a test ground on cars and setting limits, we used to have pens for winnes.
That's gone well we need something for them :/

OK all me got some Rl problems going on right now, plus normal life.
But my Mum mentley health a real problem right now well it's been going on for mouths now.
Just as she lives with me I'm the only one who see it, got rest of us kids in the link.
This to them still is this really going on, she really picks up when more of us kids around.

I try to block things but no real testing tonight I put my thoughts where they need to be.

I could make it no track at all if you prefer? Have some gratitude.

Some tracks suit FR, some FF. How is a series fair if 6 tracks out of 8 benefit one or the other?

Horsepower penalties practically impossible to work out fairly in a multi-car series. 20hp loss could be much more effective on one car than another.

hey mate, is it only thursdays testing we recieve championship points? because my exams start next week so im limiting my ps3 time, i've only put thursday evenings to the side. obviously if im on i'll test,but it wont be often. if i sign on its probably my dad. i expect he'll be happy to test, as he's getting used to wheel. he'll crash alot, (Yeah, more than me hard to believe, runs in the family lol) and his times will be slow and inconsistent but he can give car and track feedback, if thats ok with you and you dont mind
