Warning: Guys, If I get a new PS3 and if it's day 29 the 1st round, I don't know if I'm going to make it, because it's my friend's birthday.

Still no idea when the first round is going to be really. Could be as late as June 12th.

Thursday 8th May Test Information:
7pm UK Start.

Race 1
- Apricot Hill (14 Laps, Pit 6 - 10)
Spec checks. 10-minute Qualifier to be run as per a normal Race 1. No Pre-Qualifying simulation this week.
Race 2 - Grand Valley Speedway (10 Laps, Pit 3 - 7)
15-minute practice session before the race.
1 point will be awarded for participation in each race. Race results are not important. Please drive cleanly and carefully.

A reminder of tonight's info. If we can finish around 8pm that would be great, but we'll probably over-run that slightly.

I think I'm gonna run the Peugeot at 1260 tonight to see what's what. Feel free anyone to test out the specs I proposed for those cars listed a few posts back.

got to stay even later in college now. i should be home for 6.45 so should make it. i might ask my dad to jump in earlier just to save my spot.
i'll use nissan race 1 as no time for anything else but i'll use a different car after

yet to be fully confirmed, but my dad may be joining next BTCC series lol ;)

Sounds great but make sure you both get ps3 hard wired, don't trust that wirless stuff.
And really don't trust your Dad when he says your be ok son :mischievous:
Also what happens if your Dad give you that little push off track?

Will anyone in the house be able to use there phone to record it, pls if so post it on youtube.
Got to be a good watch if that happens :cheers:

Good points I think it make a good team really, if you work together.
Being a Dad myself I know we have that in built thing called I'm right, but you got lap time to prove him wrong at hand.

Dam, I fancied that. The Pug is the best by some margin.

I'm gonna make those spec changes I listed a few posts back after today if the same stuff continues.

Feel free to run cars at proposed spec as well as current today. I'll be running the Pug at proposed spec, and skeng's running his Nissan at proposed spec too.

Going to run Genesis tonight on base setting rolo what you run the gearing at pls.

Also in test colours in till team colour posted

Sorry that I wasn't online today, missed the last two pages here.
Somehow the notifications don't seem to work for the thread.
Wasn't clever enough to take a look until now at the thread.
Next time I will be there again. ;)

Getting the hump with the hyundai, car just seem to lose it for no reason.
Even on good setups, glad I'm not the only one finding it slow.
But I really don't think losing weight going to help it much, it can match times.
It's just when it not won't to play ball it goes in a spin of it's own.

Me and scan had a good little battle but he just pushed me a little wide and then the car did it own thing.
Then once I stopped the car I got hit by two others cars.
Nothing I could do in getting out the way, I know blue hit me.
Sorry m8 nothing I could do really, then I lost control of the car again so I parked up in a wall on lap 3 or 2 not to sure.

Apricot hill I gave up on the last lap I was just worn out trying to keep the car going fast.
I'm am thinking if a car comes with rear aero the car may need it to stable it?

BTCC MEDIA THREAD- Im unable to post a poll, i want everyone to answer. please PM me your choice.
Who will win the championship? (please select 1 driver, 1 team and 1 independent, but not yourself)
Thanks guys :)

The following changes are coming into force.

Nissan +10kg (1440 -> 1450)
Ford -10kg (1370 -> 1360)
Alfa -20kg (1350 -> 1330)
Citroen -20kg (1320 -> 1300)
Renault +10kg (1250 -> 1260)
Peugeot +20kg (1240 -> 1260)
Hyundai -10kg (1450 -> 1440); +5hp (305 -> 310)

I think 20 was too much on the Renault. 10 is probably better.

1460 was too much for the Nissan as we saw. 1455 wasn't run at all by the looks of it.

Maaaaaybe the Citroen could lose another 10 but I'm not sure.

Hyundai needed a little more grunt I think.

The aim is to not change specs any more after this.. but I'm still open to very minor tweaks. But I'd rather look at this as concrete and stable now.

It does seem like a very delicate car, and I can see how in race trim it can be a proper handful. You're right, it does match times very well, but I can see now that there's a difference over one lap vs a race. Battling in that car must be tough.

Aero parts would be a last resort really. It could be worth trying... but not yet. I don't think it's quite as unstable as the BMW, for example.

Remember you can change car if there's space available. FF is certainly less mentally draining to drive a race; it's why I switched back.

Do you think the Pug and Renault are about equal then?

Hyundai needed the help, so that's a good improvement, the Focus is better now too.

Nissan was pretty fast, but I got confused as to who was running what weight. Don't want it to be overly heavy that it suffers too much on the straights.

I was running the Nissan at 1450 on Apricot Hill.
