Do you think the Pug and Renault are about equal then?

Hyundai needed the help, so that's a good improvement, the Focus is better now too.

I think the Pug and Renault have basically the same qualities - fast down the straights, not so fast in corners (especially slow corners or switchbacks). Renault was about right last season, but now that a few have been slowed it made sense to slow it too. One thing to bear in mind was Sig was running 1240 all night, on top of a proper setup. Me and lozza were both 1260.

I think with the Ford (and Hyundai too really) you can nail a fast lap (and I mean, a lap that you'd think is too fast).. but once. Over a race, the consistency isn't there, and may need to influence the speccing, even if it warps the lap time data. I think the Citroen might have the same problem which is why I might make 1290kg for that my last spec change. That needs testing next week.

Nissan was talked of at 1440/1445/1450/1455/1460 tonight, so I'm not surprised it got confusing! The gap between 1450 and 1460 seems to be like kryptonite for it, maybe because of the way the game is programmed. 1455 might be an idea, but nobody ran it. 1450 seemed OK though. Nissan is by far the best FR on the straights.

Few more connection issues tonight.

Please clear your caches before entering the lounge in future. If you haven't cleared it then I'm not gonna hold up the night for you to do it.

Secondly, the next 4 Thursdays could be affected by my work. Unfortunately I still don't know my exact hours so I can't be more specific than that right now. It may be some kind of compromise deal to start at 8pm instead on possible times where I'm home too late, or things could become very quiet round these parts. There's two pre-season weeks still left to do.

If the races start at 20:00 I may only be able to do one, guess it's a little bit down to how long we waiting for.
Last night we just seemed to be ready for the go and then rolo dc :indiff:
My real hope is Hurleyman be able to test the hyundai next Thursday, should get a feeling on what the new spec does in a race.
I'll be testing Laguna and maybe brands from about 13:00 today to about 17:30.

Well, my deal would be, if we started at 8...

Everyone should be able to do at least the first race, as that would fit into normal time. However, if people can't do the second race because of time issues, then I'd still award a point for the second race to those guys, just to be fair to those people who I'm inconveniencing.

As promised, quade and Wilson have been dropped from the list owing to not choosing a car. 2 spaces have become available. If quade doesn't return, only 9 will be locked-in for Round 1.

Been at it on apricot hill with my Jaag, I found that my car was missing a few tuning parts which I added but I Still can't go quicker than 1.29.8 :(

I need to work on consistency or something to cut down on time maybe :boggled:

From learning the importance of consistency from watching GTP_Tidgney video, I went out in my Jag to beat my current best lap time around apricot hill and after doing non-stop 47laps, I managed to cut down on 1.4secs! it took me a while to get there and find areas where I could improve by trying something different but I eventually got there

BTCC-8: Humberside Racing

After being absent from the BTCC for most of Season 7, Humberside Racing have struck a deal with Ford to run two Works Cars for the upcoming Season. This isn't the first time that HSR has been in a partnership with Ford - since they've been working together all the way back since Season 5 with the Mk2 Focus ST. But now, the new Mk3 Focus ST has hit the road and has finally been prepared for the race track!

Jason shall be heading the Ford Duo with the Blue and Silver Focus (pictured right) and @iFuriousRacer piloting the Blue and Gold Focus (pictured left). The HSR Team has Intel running as a main sponsor for this Season! We caught up with Jason, he said: "The new car is so much different to the Mk2 Focus ST. New engine, new shape and new driving dynamics. Despite these changes - it still feels on pace with some of the BTCC Seniors from Alfa Romeo, BMW and Nissan; if not faster! After taking a break for a Season and being able to work on the details of the car - I think we're much more prepared than we ever were with the old car. But, saying the new Focus never really had much of a chance to be tested last Season - we still have a large amount of work to do to develop the car..."

Humberside Racing is back...

I'd like to take one of the last two spaces if they're still available. Can I choose my car once I've did a bit of testing?

Oh and, @wiseguy007 ...Have you got an opening at buckfast racing? :P

No?! :sly:
I know you see enough tractors from where you are Ian, but maybe they never see them ;)

Skeng really needs an avatar change... His dates back to the old GTP - and it's very pixelated ;)

Ahh, I have one of these under my chair: http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/9134276.htm

It can't wheel over the rug because of the pile, unless I'm trying to actually move the chair, under normal racing conditions it's perfect. 👍

My chair is only a cheap old swivel chair, it's as low as it can go and I can race on it for hours.

I find it funny how the HSR Announcement gets 6 likes and the Husky Tech Racing Team get 1, from me

I enjoyed your background story.

Team Digicool are looking for some fridge/freezer sponsorship or maybe an Ice company , hahahahaaha.
