I'm not particularly keen on the new start system with the 5 red lights to be brutally honest. The old automatic 3,2,1, go system has been pretty consistent as everyone would go at the same time.

With the 5 lights and false start check, there is a potential problem of people jumping the start, especially if they're new to the series. Also, the varying times when all 5 lights are on hold before we go means we don't know exactly when the lights will go out as everyone has differing reaction times. I'd rather stick to the old start system IMO.

In agreement really, don't mind it.
It's just someone jumping or someone missing the go, could make a pile up start.

I was close to hitting the car in front in race 2, did my move give other problems?

I'll give my input on the matter... I think it's a good idea but I think it shouldn't really be done here. There is just too much risk, I think - as some cars that are slow off the line could get rear ended off the track if reaction time isn't quite fast enough - or if we loose the boost from the turbo - we're a sitting duck which sends you pretty much to the back and ruins your race!

If you still wanna team up, the place is yours đź‘Ť

Thanks mate  I hope I can find some pace and bring us a few points. Which paints am I shopping for?

Tonight was fun, despite getting off to a shaky start. There was a bit of bumping going on through village and my first race jitters had me exaggerating my evasive maneuvers... I dived off into the grass and fell a couple of seconds behind last place. I caught the trailing pack but got held up really bad in the pits and lost all my ground. True must have been in a bump as he fell to last place before pulling a nice dummy/switchback move through Vale & Club on the final lap. Last but hey ho, the only way is up!

Bit nervous starting on pole in race 2. I dropped to 4th and held that for a while. I tried to keep a nice flow but the little mistakes I kept making proved costly. There was a highlight... I managed to keep pace with rolo after he passed me for maybe 2 laps. Then the inevitable mistakes had me lose a couple more places. I think I finished 11th. I could be wrong and I forgot to save the replay :dunce:

Anyway, it was cool racing with you guys. You're all very quick! Looking forward to some more testing đź‘Ť

I thought that the starts would be a bad idea....BUT.....I actually quite enjoyed them. There is a certain amount of skill involved and I think that with a bit more practice everyone will get reasonably good at it. A few selected aliens will become exceptional too, which just shows that they have great reactions and throttle control. đź‘Ť

Main body of the car is Lime Green (solid paint). Got it with Lexus LFA (I think). At least that is the only other car in my garage that haven't specifically painted that colour.

Wheels are up to you, we just have to have different colours. Mine are GT6 Chrome 015 (chrome paint)

9 teams now!

RE: Starts. Let's give it a go. If it's caused major issues by the end of Round 4, then I'll switch back. Other than that, it's just a case of if you're involved in an incident, tough. That's racing. It's more realistic, real racing has more variables to it and I think it's good for the series to have this.

much agreed gt is about realism not making it easy for you.

wow fair talk here, missed it.
i like the new start, the delayed lights are good.
bad night but good racing. in first race hurley was incredibly aggressive, but the car felt terrible, turned out i had wrong weight distribution.
race 2 i had a great battle with canyon, he messed up and i had a big lead. i have my wheel on a board of wood with clamps holding it in place (very classy i know) then as i was leading one clamp feel off and smashed my mug underneath (fave chelsea mug i add) which spooked me and tea went everywhere. drove with wheel wobbling then got taken out big time by rolo lol
Nurb next? (Evil laugh)

Tried to avoid but didn't steer left enough. Was quite tired during Race 2 last night to be fair, my driving was generally appalling.

I wondered why you didn't win. :sly:

Driving tired is always difficult, I've struggled myself. I can remember crashing mulltiple times during an endurance race on GT5 prior to the save/continue function was introduced. :banghead:

All the pre season races for free pts are finished now ?

My teammate might drop out of the series so I could possibly need a replacement , ill post when I know for certain.

Potentially. I might do something for points this Thursday but it depends on what I plan.

5th June I will probably do absolutely nothing for, it can be a free test if people want but I won't necessarily host.

Lozza might be going? Damn.
