Team Name = Fast Freaks
Car = BMW 330i
Team Members = Paginas and Mathias_p
Colour = Green (need to ask what green mathias_p is useing lol)

I'm interested in taking part in this. I won't be able to commit to races within the next couple of months though, so depending on your schedue I might not be able to run in every race this time round.

I'll be using the Alfa I think, or a Vectra if it's re-allowed. And I don't have a team, so I guess that makes me an independant, right :crazy: Haha.

And with the weight/power issue, surely if the cars are all around the same PP the racing would be pretty even. Especially if success ballast is added, which would make sure no one car would dominate. That's my take on it anyway :)

Ballast additions depending on you're position is a good idea that I'm sure we will use.

It will more than likely be a 2 race affair with each race only being 15 - 20 laps long,

Then reverse order is used for the next race with some ballast for podium finishers.

How does that sound?

I'm wondering if it would be possible to arrange an official test, so cars can be compared and performance equalised?

Secondly, can someone add me to the first page teams list? Reposting info from earlier page...

Team Name = Tigersport (BMW)
Car = BMW 135i
Team Members = si_berian_tiger + ???
Colour = TBC (currently Chameleon orange & black)

priestly-lfc, jmsbrydon m and myself may team up as an 'independent' team if possible?

305bhp limit - How about 315hp? Means that everyone can at least fit a sports exhaust, so the cars sound like a touring car. The 135i with stock exhaust sounds like a vacuum cleaner......

Lower bhp aswell i gonna have to remake my car if u lower it I vote to stick with 355 bhp 500 pp and 1000kg min

Lower Horsepower to 325. Its hard to get the max horsepower out of the 135i and stick in the 500 pp to make it competitive. How about make the rules so the only power mods are say stage1 engine tunning and racing or sports exhaust for all cars. I might team up with siberian although i might not be able to make every race and i'm not that fast so will probablys just go as an independent team by myself if thats allowed.

If so:

Team Name = Brydon Racing
Car = BMW 135i
Team Members = Jmsbrydon (independent)
Colour = Red and Black

Obviously with lower power and higher weight the 500pp rule doesn't work any more. The cars just aren't equal, at all, no matter what regs you have.

Here is my experience with the WSCC Group N 246 HP - 1200 kg championship.

- PP are completely unreliable, in many cases the car with the lowest PP blowed away cars with higher PP. They are only reliable when you have comparable cars (all GT300 or GT500) and even in that case, it doesn't really work out as expected.
- Whatever you do, you will always have one or two cars that blast away the other cars.
- drivetrains: the best MR and FR cars were mostly much faster than FF and 4WD cars. So we decided in our serious to have each week another type of car (FF, FR, 4WD, MR)
- With our specs, best cars were:

FF: Acura RSX, one of the Alfas (standard cars)
FR: RX-7, RX-8, S2000 (all premium)
MR: NSX and Evora (premium)
4WD: less car differences than with other drivetrains. Best: Audi TTS and premium Impreza.

- Except for FF cars, premium cars were systematically better than standard cars.

Hope that will help you

I have several cars* which are on the homologation list for this series. I will have a play later, using 315hp/1200kg rules. I'll see how close the cars are, and will post my findings later on.

* Alfa 147 2.0, BMW 135i, Honda Integra, Mazda Atenza 25Z, Volvo C30

If anyone has the Civic Type R, Focus ST or anything else, could you please add me and make your car available online? A wider selection of cars will be helpful, and it'll save me grinding the Eiger K-car cup repeatedly to get the cr to buy and tune each one!

Hi I would like to join if theres any place left.

Team Name = Trinity Racing Performance
Car = TBA
Team Members = TRP_NOSS & TRP_REPLAY
Colour = TBA

Quite like those regs... Maybe we should use those numbers.

What about Racing Hards instead of Mediums. *Skill level required raises*

tbh I think the regs need to be sorted first then you can work with the cars, altho its good to be varied the fact we have so many cars in the list maybe one of the reasons we are struggling with the regulations.

Perhaps restricting the cars to 3 maybe 4 types will be a better idea? :crazy:

Re tires i've only been running hards anyway as I felt tire wear was going to be to much of a issue for me :ouch:

It will anger many, but dropping the integra completely would even out the thing.

At lower power (305bhp + 1200kgs) the volvo looked very fast although it was only a few laps.

Maybe 315bhp is better

Dont say that...
Dont even think of that...
:sly:
The Integra is so.nice to drive. Well at least without the added weight. Yesterday i made a shakedown of the new one i had to buy to use the new weight rules and the balance was awfull. Need to work on the setup again.
Please make up your mind concerning the rules. :sly: lol

That's promising. It being worse was the point of making the regs different, many cars couldn't make the 1000kgs but the integra could easy. Plus with it being so balanced and epic in turns, it dominates the field.

My alfa and jimmy's Atenza were both getting 1.09's on GVE. Not really setup well, just quick setup and go, only a few laps run as well.

I've had the same times from the 147 and Integra. Again, no real setup.

Alfa was 309hp/1200kg
Integra was 281hp/1199kg (couldnt ballast it up to 1200kg!)

I set a max hp of 315 for cars to be tested. PP is largely irrelevant, but was around 462pp.

I will be online this eve, similar time to priestly. Unofficial test session at GVE?

Our experience in WSCC 246 HP + 1200kg was that the Volvo was absolutely not competitive.

Welsh If you keep making the regulations worse I don't wanna run in this.. I HATE the whole 305 bhp with 1200 kg of weight but wanting to bring it down even further would destroy the whole thing.

The 355 bhp with 1000kg was fine. Fair enough the integra was fast but you can put either a ballast cap on it or a power cap!

I'm all for the 355hp/1000kg weight. I have a car which is well on the way to being well set up. As long as the result is close racing, I do not mind about the regulations.

How would the performance cap on the Integra be enforced?

The integra drivers would be made enter the track first with the set regulations for there car..

I aint made the regs worse at all, I "proposed" a change, a few liked it a few didn't.

Plus I recently posted saying maybe 315bhp is better.....

So I wasn't ever reducing it further, keep ya hat on.
