Just letting you know that I've made up my mind about which car I'll be using. I tried to get a decent setup for a Vectra but couldn't, so I'll now be using a 330i BMW. I did a 1.07.0XX round GVE last night. Speaking of which, does GVE remind anyone else slightly of Brands?

And it's good to know that PSN is down and it's not just my connection!

Edit: That lap time was done with 355hp, 12XXkg and 499PP.

I will try to do some testing with some ballast on the Integra, as I'm off work till tuesday, to try and even the field.
I think maybe with 150 Kg more it will be ok.

It is similar, especially the last corner.

Plus yes if you can please test the Integra with ballast, try to get consistent 1.08's then reduce it a touch to allow access to 1.07 and your done.

I find it quite funny that this series' regulations are following the current NGTC regs. Ie, a mix of new and older turbo and N/A cars and Honda Intergras being nerfed by adding ballast (The current rules state that BTC cars that competed last season are eligible if they add 50kg to their base weight. The only cars that could do this were the Honda Integras.) I think it's kinda ironic

Right, my changes were not final and were just ideas...
They were not universally accepted so old regs still apply.

355bhp @ 1000kg, with a 500pp limit .. I am aware that not all cars make them..

We will sort a specific limit for the DC5 then we will be ready to start the laguna seca pre season event.

Everyone interested will be PM'd about their team name , car choice and dates when the time comes, 1st post will be overhauled and we will begin.

The car list is on 1st post and should be stuck to.

i was just wandering are we adding ballast to the cars that come 1st and 2nd in the first race like they do in RL
me and jonerz have teamed up car is to be decided

1st position: +45 Kg
2nd: +36 Kg
3rd: +27 Kg
4th: +18 Kg
5th: +9 Kg
6th or lower: 0 Kg

There will be no accumulation of success ballast weight.

Nice, I like those two additions. Especially the pole position, fastest lap and race leader points, they add something else to race for 👍

How long do you expct tyres to last during the races? If they will get through the race alright, have you thought about mandatory pitstops like they had a few seasons ago?

Tyres are looking at around 10 laps for FWD.. if you set your car up you can have a longer life but that is the average.

If we are going to run 2 races a night then i think we should run 1 race with no mandatory pit stop then the second race WITH a mandatory pit stop-Jimmy

Aaah, the sprint and feature race setup from the late 1990's. Will there be a 'pit window' where the pit stop must be made?

I must say I am very much looking forward to this series now. Just hoping I can meet the schedule when it's published.

As for the pit window.. I think this should be in effect.. we will have a chat and try and finalise this.. we will aset dates but we will not confirm with you guys until psn is back up.. who knows how long these hackers can have it down for.. Sony must be losing MILLIONS and will be annoying there Sponsorship Deals etc.. Not good..-jimmy

Since there are a lot of people interested, and only 16 people in one room, would it be possible to have 2 championships - manufacturer (2 car teams) and independent (1 car team)?

Just a thought, means more people can take part.

2 Ideas have been put forward....

My original idea

EXAMPLE NUMBER OF PEOPLE
32 people involved
16 in a race
2 races for 1 round
top 8 from each race go through to race eachother in round 2 and the bottom 8 do the same
This way people race different people all the time.


Idea Number 2

Hold a qualifying day
1 person on track
Gets 4 laps of GVE
Best time recorded
All 32 people do this eventually and the best go to a higher division and the slower people go to lower division/s
This generally matches skill level and keeps races close.
Relegation and promotion up and down divisions is possible at end of season.
