I keep thinking about it But Every attempt i gave it so far i only managed to ashame myself, getting warnings or be sent off first turn by someone that wasnt even Warned afterwards...

I might have became a sore loser, not used to such extreme battles or maybe i kept my slowness while all improved themselves. :D in endurance raced noone risks to estreme first lap or race alla the time like in qualy, i might ha ve take a wrong path.

If i wont be late i'll join up tomorrow, i'll see if i can still race middle of the pack and if i'm not top outpaced. Your guys times scared the hell out of me lol

I think you have bad luck , possibly worst luck ive seen in btcc. Only trueblue comes close to it .

Someone said you make your own luck and it is kinda true . With experience you learn how to avoid potential incidents and capitalize from them .

I think you would of done well this past season in btcc .

The season you called it quits in was probably the most competitive btcc season , so dont give up just yet .

I think it was silly from me to hop in without a setup or a decent car/amount of testing... I might be home in an hour and half if rooms are still open i'll join.

Btw later on today are you available for a few gt300 laps? I'm almost 100% done with specs and i want to announce them so people can choose and team up

This means I have 2 drop scores out of 7 races, while everyone has 2 out of 8?

Yes. Race bans don't count as a drop score, else where's the penalty?

Instead of having the championship standings dictate the HP reduction for race 1, could we use the previous rounds race 3 result instead?

This may well be a better idea that kicks out all anomalies. Going to try this one this time 👍

I will always go with the majority decision and that seems to be for weak draft .

Both will be tested today in Races 1 and 2, then the decision will be made.

7pm? Mmmh i doubt i can be there before 8-8:30 should i bother or all will be alredy finished?

Possibly, it's likely the main event will be over but there may be a few who stay longer 👍

Last nights test was great from my point if view. First race I was 40 odd seconds off the pace second I think I was about 20 and third race it was down to about 10 off the leader.

That's all thanks to @CptMadBean, @Ian_83 & @canyondrifter who took time out to show me the ropes. So big thanks to you guys!

Was averaging around 1.31.3xx at the start of the night and that was down to 1.30.1xx by the end and I can see it improving still by putting into practice what I was shown last night.

That's the kind of thing I like to hear!!!!

Ty mate, hope my return is not snail like

My PSN is now giving me the same **** as the other Thursday. "Failed to create room" over and over. Feel free to make a public lounge but chances are I won't be able to join it.

good 1st race, sorry for any nudges, ff and no abs is O.O lol, and sorry Canyon for the overtake attempt, but you know how opportunistic person

Disaster test week.

Try again next week perhaps? We need to make sure that all is well before we proceed to the calendar.

Hmm, I've just had a thought. While I was waiting for you that final time, Stig, Brendon, Canyon and Street were going in and out of your old room which kept it open. Normally that wouldn't make any difference because the host would have been Stig/Bren/Can/Street.... BUT the room still had your name as the host, it never changed.

I'm wondering if that's why you couldn't create a new room. If you remember, the other week you couldn't connect to the GT6 server, so it was a different issue.

If you have time tonight, just quickly try to create a room now that the old one has closed.

The lobby list was broken, it thought you had a room open (which was just your old one and your name was still on there as the host, even though you weren't) and therefore it wouldn't allow you to create a 2nd room.

Connection to PSN mucking about all night really. DC'd twice before 7, then as you saw.

What more do we really have to assess? I'm pretty sold on weak draft as much as anyone else is. If you all want another week then I shall provide.. makes no bones to me.

That's actually quite feasible, although I did also get the usual PSN error on startup (2619) I think it was... something to do with ID.

and it couldn't have been a better return, with an old team mate side by side through most of an entire lap, motegi R1 (can't remember what lap) and some great-close battles too :P

btw is it just me or while racing does the game not state how many laps you have left but only how many laps you've so far done? :irked:

So what did I miss in yesterday test?

Ian posted we needed another test night and Rolo dial up starting to show it's age maybe?
Great to see Brendon back on the track with us.
Guess no luck on find any new blood I came beat is there lol

You didn't miss much MadBean.

We had loads of connection issues, we managed the fist race which Street won (he ran away with it), there was a reasonable battle between Rolo, Stig and myself which was quite nice and that was about your lot really. We used the weak draft which seemed to work okay, the overtaking was perhaps a little easy, but it was certainly interesting and fun.

Sadly we didn't get a chance to test the real draft setting, so we had no comparison between the two and that was one of the main aims of the test session.

I'm happy to run the weak draft and to keep the HP penalties as they are. The HP penalty will have a more noticeable effect at some tracks, Motegi isn't too bad at 283hp, but Monza at 283hp could be quite difficult. We had the same scenario last time that we raced the Integra's and it worked then, so I can't see why this season should be any different.

My only worry going into round 1 is the reliability of our internet connections. It seems to be a real problem at the moment, either the servers are being problematic or we have a couple of poor connections on the grid which is causing us issues.

Can everone please ensure that their internet connection is as good as it can possibly be.

Try to have a wired connection, even if it means running a cable through the house temporarily for the evening.

If you have no option but to run a wireless connection make sure that you have a good wifi signal.

If possible, turn off all other devices that are connected to the internet too, you'd be amazed how something so simple as a Nintendo DS can create lag. :banghead:

For those that are using wifi and that can't get a wired connection, take a look at getting some powerline adaptors.

There are loads of things that can be done to improve things, I've just about tried it all when I was having issues myself.

i have my ps3 like at 4 meters from my router. i sent a cable around the whole room. since i did that back in the first btcc season i never ever had a bit of lag.

oh i also shut down my pc even if idle and disconect cellphones or similar from wifi.

if all this and what ian said it's a connection problem. contact your internet provider well pissed off about their service and ask to have your connection switched to "fast" response and explain you use it mainly for gaming (even if it is not true lol).

For a while I would temporarily run an ethernet cable from the router to my PS3 which was fun because the PS3 was downstairs and the router was upstairs. Had to remember not to trip over it.

People forget to turn off other devices such as mobile phones. I just disconnect the phone's wifi and everything else is usually turned off anyway.

Anyone else coming on to night, want to test other tracks.
So room set for round 2 right now, me and skeng getting bored of motegi

Sorry m8 off now, wife wanted tv :(

I won't be around the next few days as off to a m8's stag thing.
Starts off tomorrow at a go ape thing, really not looking forward to that :/

Well should be online on Sunday if I've not got a broken neck lol
