wow that is alot like my living room and where my tv & consoles are too

anyways, I did finnished doing 50laps of practice, averaged 55.6s, did a few 55.2s and my best was 55.125 :cool:
Hope I can replicate that tomorrow :)

a very fun looking track, I love the cambered bends :P and the track flows very well, but the only downside here is, if you don't keep to the racing line, the lap times screw up and it'll be tricky to keep it with alot of cars around during the races especially around the tigher sections :scared:

Yeah add Polo to your psn, Alex seems to have good race stanards.
Me Ian Canyon and Skeng raced with him, he not a FF car fan.
But got a good feeling on a new sign up in Bttc-9 with him, then he can pick the FR car that may suit him.
Be warned Alex Rolo not give us good FR cars lol.

To be fair Rolo tests all cars and give us a best he can do even match, the Hydani was fast in the right hands.
Nissan even better in Skeng hands but small mistakes in FR cars, out come bad news.

If you like a challage you in the right place.
I would of not played GT5 as much as did if I not rub bumpers with Ian and canyon one day.
Yes I would of still got gt6 as I been playing GT from GT2 days.

Anyways going forward to this Thursday race:
Rolo if to many get sound problems we need to call the race off down to local flooding on track.
It's not fair to ask drivers to play with no sound and not down to no fault of there own.

This bug a big fault down to last update and is something the host well not get.
You lose tyre sound it like you lose feel of the car, you lose engine well you got no tyre sound as well.

It's a mass online bug, that if we just keep going will wreck the honda cup :(
 
Got a 55.129 after a solid hour and a half tonight. Averaging the mid 55's I think. Very easy to mess up one corner and it costs you best part of half a second.

Was joins by someone called dustybin in my final few laps. He said he was on earlier with some of you guys but got disconnected. Think he's going to turn up tomorrow.

@Ian_83 sorry for not replying. I wasn't actually there! Saw your message when I got back but you had already left :guilty:

Hmm to be honest it would suit me better tomorrow to not race due to things I'm doing in the day... but it would be incredibly selfish of me to cancel for that. Sound issues are very much there though. You guys are the racers, if you feel it's unfair then pipe up.

Going back to sound bug:
I would if all goes no. call a test night at Laguna
 
I vote for postponing until this sound bug is fixed. Canyon voiced his opinion earlier too, he wasn't too happy and I doubt that he'll be racing unless its sorted.

Got to argee great track but turn 5 in draft can make your hornmours grow and bash in turn 6.
Well long left turn then turn on pits.

I've also think somethings brakes not work that well just weird feelings.
Brake at the right point and it not stop then do it a lap later and you braked to much.
Yes easy to bump someone off track and also easy to not be your meaning.
Over taking real hard in less you take a risk too.

Karsten you used to call me slow, I tried fast and mean it got me a ban.
I read draft well and brake for it well try to, was it a fair move?
This goes to the sterwards and if them involed there not part of making that choice.
In who was wrong and if they was right it's moved out of there hands.

You yourself lost you skill a little but I know your alot faster than me, you used to be hard to beat.
But now I'm behind you, where you should be way up front pal.

Your trying to much running your own races and taken part in here, you know you need test and test to find that 1/2 a sec.
That's why I left your championship, tyres one thing the other I could not test for both.

We all love you Karsten and we all miss you from the racing, I say get your butt in gear and be here pal.

Actually is HOW you race them that matters lol.

If i'm not late from work i'll be on grid.
 
I had no issues last night but then I was the host. Dustybin had to rejoin half a dozen times before he had tyre sounds. Had a quick race with him so i could save the replay. Damm he's good, and I did notice he had no ABS.

I'll go with the majority on the sound issues.
 
So basically 5 against racing tonight:

MadBean, Ian, canyon, Gaz (going with the majority) and I guess you can count myself although I'm good either way.

It's not really a big enough majority to cancel so far. (unless you class it as a majority of people who actually take an active interest in the series... no word from brendon, Stig, Street or mikey)

I had some sound problems yesterday too but mainly at matterhorn, the car sounds came (for like 30s) and then kept going again,

also since that update, I've not once heard any car sound effects (tyres, bump/crash sounds) online,
yesterday I did 3 races in GTTCC at daytona, the car sounds were fine for over 45+ laps and later yesterday I also did 50 laps of cape ring and car sounds were ok but still no sound effects

however since 3 people are so far reporting they're having issues (who I consider as the main competitors in this championship too so that'll be a shame tbh) and it's not their fault they have this issue so why penalize them? that'll be unfair imo,

moreover there's no assurance that I or anyone else (more people) will face this issue tomorrow even if they might not have already at cape ring (I did a few laps on matterhorn prior to yesterday and had no problems)

or my other suggestion is: we can all turn up tomorrow and if near 50% of people are having issues, we'll decide to postpone or if only 2-3 are then we'll go ahead :confused:
 
As far as I am concerned. When ever I lose tire sounds I also lose any contact sounds as well so I could ruin someone's race and not even know it so on that basis if they haven't fixed the sound issues then I won't be racing. Welcome Alex and I hope this new guy dustbin joins.. We might be able to learn a few things from hhim to go faster than skeng .... Lol
 
Stig - personally I rely on my tyre noise to tell me how much grip I have (or don't have) through the turns. Just having that missing is a hindrance for sure. :(

I'll have a look in a minute to see whether or not there is an update or hotfix on the game today.
 
It maybe a hard bug to fix, remember on battlefield on the pc once.
An update broke something on the servers, a quick fix on servers made more problems.

My thinking is PD trying hard to fix the problem or there on hoilday.
But with the problem sometimes being there and sometimes not it maybe a hard one to fix.
Or there a bigger fix list going on like with the steering wheels.

Loads moaning about that too as wheel got almost half the feel it used to have.
Am happy this update not happen when Btcc-8 was running
 
OK I'm calling it off. 7 for, 2 no comment. We'll try again next week.

Feel free to host a test or something tonight and I may be able to join at some point.

I'll still come online later for a practice, assuming that I can hear what my car is doing and if we have a few of us then perhaps a practice race. It all depends on whether or not we get the bug bad.
