high 54s seems the target time, but I'm low 55s.
Yesterday I had 5 players in my room, Alex someone Skeng and Canyon all had sound bug problems.
Me as host was fine and Ian seemed ok to, players left joined I changed track.
Still bug there Skeng seemed to have an option no sound or just engine.

It's amazing what no tyre sound does, it just takes the feeling away from the car.
Bit like driving on lce, but hey even in the flims you still get tyre sounds.
 
If the sound bug isn't fixed today I think we need to postpone until it's fixed. The problem is not something which can be simply fixed by exiting and rejoining, swapping cars or any other tricks. It appears to be totally random.

I did find it interesting that yesterday it was Skeng and Canyon having the sound problems again. Probably just a coincidence though.

I don't believe it's a coincidence, because every time you host a room, you are perfectly fine but others will complain about losing sound etc. but while you're in their room it's the opposite way round.

What it sounds like is a server connection issue thanks to the amount of data the new update had. It has basically ruptured the stability of the server connection system. When you create a room, you are creating your own server for others to connect to, and when others join there's that one piece of data that gets lost on it's way through connection, and unfortunately it's part of the sound.

That's what it sounds like to me, it's pretty simple to fix but shame I don't work for PD :(

Its not fair that some drivers have to battle without sound, it must be a horrible handicap.

Yeah I know, I had to do 3 15 minute Clio V6 races yesterday with just engine sound and intermittent tyre sounds, I did alright by winning the 1st race, then 2nd and 7th (after spinning in the wet lol)

sounds like fans complaining about the bad engine sounds has caused PD to decided on taking out the sounds completely

like lancia took out the brakes of the montecarlo ;)

I don't know why fans are complaining about engine noise like, look at GT2, the sounds were very basic, every 4-cylinder sounded the same - likewise with 6, 8, 10 and 12-cylinder lol, just think about the advancement and how PD have tried to create different sounds and trying to be accurate with the actual car. Yeah they may not be 100% accurate on some cars but most cars actually sound just like life-like ones.

Times around cape ring inside are for me anyway using my pad... A 55.1 running at 283 bhp and a 54.5 running full power ... Gonna get my wheel fixed as soon as I can because I have done a 54.1 using it but luckily for you it's power cable broke... Lol

The problem with the sound is that PD are far behind what other developers are now doing. I'm not for a moment saying that other developers are using the exact engine sounds for a particular car, but they are making the cars sound really nice.

GT2 was a very long time ago. :lol: That game was amazing when it was launched.

yeah, look at Forza and Assetto Corsa, fantastic games but from a fan point of view, I prefer GT

GT2 was possibly the best GT out, took ages to complete lol
 
I like GT too, it's my racing game of choice, although GT6 has been a let down for me so far. The sheer amount of bugs has been really frustrating, sure GT5 had its issues too, but GT5 was a fair jump from what we had in GT4, whereas GT6 feels like a reheated GT5, so why so many bugs? PD will fix it though, I'm sure of that, my concern is that GT fans are starting to stray to other games and they won't be coming back.

GT7 needs to be special. ;)

On a brighter note, I had a go at the new Sierra time trial thing and it was quite good fun. I enjoyed driving the little Fiat in cockpit view.
 
Yeah same, it's definitely racing game #1 for me, but yeah GT6 is a bit of a let down, but PD have said that GT7 will be the biggest and most revolutionised game in the GT series yet, but we'll have to wait and see.

I really do like the Sierra track, and the Scirocco was fun to drive but the Fezza, nah, just can't do it, it handles like a boat on LSD, and brakes like it has none.
 
I've only done the Fiat and VW ones. I'll have a look at doing the Ferrari tonight, I'm short on credits so the income would be handy right now.

The track is a nice drive, but I only see it as a road course, I wouldn't want to actually race on it, I'd get bored too quickly.

It took me a while to figure out how the scoring worked and on my first attempt my score was pathetic. It was only when I saw the bonuses getting added on that the penny dropped and I figured it out.

I let my missus have a go too, she can't drive and isn't really any good at driving games either. She managed 800'000+ with the Fiat on her first attempt and completed the course. 👍

lol, I was thinking that too, like I was at the south end and had about 250,000 points and I was thinking "how the hell have people managed 1,600,000?!" until the bonuses, that was the biggest "ohhhh" of realisation in my life.
 
I've just noticed something. I was watching an old replay from last season and Mikey's car had no engine sound. So the issue isn't a server/online only problem.

Cancel that private jet, PD don't need you interfering. :lol:

It's a shame that we have no contact details for PD besides a postal address. Although I suppose they'd be getting bombarded with complaints if they made their email address public knowledge. The tea boy would be too busy responding to emails instead of getting on with his job. :sly:
 
Got a cat problem with driven right now.

He would only make a very very small coat, but he already cost £800+ in vet bills.
He jumped and tried climbing up a speaker, speaker can down and so did cat.

Well kitten really ended up vet saying he needs Xrays, wow that was £500+ just for them to say he fixed it himself.
The other costs were the pre vist and passed Xray trips.
I'm sure there cheaper coats out there m8

Good thing Skeng joined the track and cat soon got bored and jumped off the chair.
