I'm watching ITV4 now and there was something about Formula E. It seems interesting but sounds a little boring, good thing its followed by BTCC :mischievous:

yeah, I missed that. really don't like it but unfortunately it's the future of racing :(
wasn't there some racing in dubai or somewhere, where all teams were given the same car but were allowed different setups?
not sure what happened to it, but seemed like a fair idea at favoring driving skills and team work over car's performance differences
 
I did a 29.5 yesterday at motegi, I can see a further 2-3tenths to be gained, but nothing better,
I think the S bends are where you loose or gain the most time, I doubt I will get into the 28s

how are you guys doing?

When I hook up a good first sector i can do a very low 29 or maybe high 28 :)
 
I managed a 1.31.9 on the 1st practice lap and then shut off the PS3 because I was happy to finally get a 1.31. I probably should've kept going to see if I could've repeated it. I don't know why I'm practicing when I won't be able make Motegi. I guess to see how I'm doing compared to other drivers.

Those S bends are really a pain. If I can get them right, I can probably be able to get a low 1.31.
 
The wheelspin is the killer in this car , its all about getting a good exit so you can minimize the wheelspin
I feel I do well with throttle control, I've only spun once in BTCC and that was Race 3 at Brands where I accelerated on the grass lol, I don't think I've ever lost control on my own anywhere else.

Also, the last corner is the only corner where I do struggle a little because the car bogs down while I'm accelerating and I lose a good half a second there, it's so annoying.

I seem to be doing okay on the corner exit. I'm loosing time on the entry, I'm scrubbing off too much speed in the braking zone because the car has more grip available than I think it has. :banghead: I need to take a bravery pill.

I'm not used to having a car with as responsive brakes as that, which is my problem, braking too early.
 
Real draft maybe to strong, testing some tracks.

Cape ring inside, long left hand bend car without draft drops to about 115mph.
Car in draft can hold 120mph, car -30bhp I like to see keep up?
Fuji engine limiter time, you can almost hit it without, so think even real draft will still hit limiter.
