My advice for this track is this...stay on the track because even the slightest off Will cost you a huge amount.the chicane is a killer if you get it wrong.and the final box left can be insane if you get a tire on the grass on the left as you approach it so be carefully how hard you push coming up to that corner...but 1:22.3 is doable....

Yep, a 1:22.3 is possible, but it's a qualifying lap, it isn't a sustainable pace due to it being on the ragged edge. I noticed that when I got locked into a battle I lost loads of time, my lap times really suffered, so if the guy running up front can break away from the pack there is a good chance of an easy-ish win.

I agree with the grass....it's nasty, as are a couple of the kerbs. They're best avoided.

One thing that I have noticed is that the pit exit has a very long white line which takes you around the outside of turn 1. I'm guessing that we have to stick to this?
 
No, you don't have to stay inside the line, but if there's traffic coming then obviously don't exit right into their path. That will be a penalty. If the track is clear then cut the line wherever you wish.
 
Thanks for clearing that up Rolo, because I've been keeping it inside the line on the exit up until now. :lol:
 
Cutting across the line will help a little with an outlaw time but I do hope ppl pay attention to who is both coming up behind them from the straight and those coming down the straight leave room to those entering the track as well considering most of us will want to be as far to the right as poss before we turn in to make that tight left as long and smooth as it can be made...I can see accidents happening there
 
Everyone should indeed. If someone is coming up to the last corner then I would just stay inside the line anyway (more or less), I mean that is what it's there for, as a safe blend line.

Cars on track have the right of way over cars coming out of the pits. Say, for example, you're at GP/D and you're exiting the pits, if you crash into a guy on the apex of Turn 1, then that is your fault as you don't have right of way.

Yep, good luck everyone, hopefully it'll be a good race for us all. 👍

Hopefully my connection to the PSN will hold up again, I'm still having loads of problems, my connection type and speed is fine, but the PSN still disconnects. So fingers crossed.

Don't forget to give Karsten some hints/tips of good/bad incidents for his youtube video. I know that the videos are only short and the audience is small but they're still interesting to watch.

Well I should make next Thursday race as me not working, been gutted not being able to make races :(

Pretty forgetful day for me. Two 7th places in Race 1 and 2 were ok, but then I got stuck on a black screen at the start of Race 3, forcing me to quit out of the lobby.
 
Horrible races for me - race 1 30s black screen, race 2 quallied 5th then dced, race 3 involved in 3 annoying crashes, then controller began to die, so I am really sorry glen and weezy for ruining your chances at catching red...
 
Mixed emotions for me today. I should have done so much better but the win in race 3 was really nice.

Race 1 I made a big mistake early on and wiped out which was a shame as I started 8th on the grid and was up to 4th place on lap 1.

Race 2 I managed a good qualifying position (3rd) but I had my disconnect problem.

I felt as though I should have had a good points haul, but as we all know, in the BTCC anything can happen and it usually does.
 
Also , I think it was Andy who had serious lag today. When I approached the first crash he went from last corner to half way down straight, then next time, I saw him smack into Rolo at about 10000000000000MPH, it may be servers but I don't know...
 
I'm quite sad of about the race... we were about to get some points from humberside guys, but bren disconnected in R2, and i disconnected in R3... so i guess in the end they did get more than us...

i did my very (and i mean _very_) best to tryand bring home some decent points without occuring into penalties and was doing quite well until the damn disconnect in r3... :(

on the brighter side i'm woring on R1 video, it looks decent and i'm trying to add commentary to it as Ian and bren suggested...

My voice and english are not the most suitable, but it's just a test and if anyone else wwould like to make the commentary i wouold be more than happy :)
 
Keep up the good work Karsten and dont worry im sure next week will be better for a lot of us .
 
i wish there would be point even for disconections :D even a last place point are better than nothing :D

i'm actually not improving my speed but at least i managed to stay in the pack and slow down the other racers :D expecially in R3 i tried to give bren some advantage in the hope he would escape in the first laps... didn't work at all lol
 
Yeah, some weird lagging from Andy again. Lost quite a bit of time to that as did a lot of people who were around him. If it was now and again fair enough but honestly, it's every week to some degree. Think poor rolo got lag punted. Skeng too? And I ended up waiting because I thought I'd run into the back of him at the final corner, only for him to teleport onto the straight. And not to mention the plumes of smoke and dust which pour out the back of him.

And the whole Scania/Brendon connectivity problem again. Whoever is in the room first, the other struggles to get in, or stay in.

Fun racing though. Very hard to pass on there with identical cars. Especially in big groups.
 
The race one vid with commentary will be online tomorrow morning. at least this timee spend a couple of words about it lol
