what about in s3 freeing the tires (hard, medium and soft) and pitting time?

BTW why do we make races at 305 hps when the game's checks at 310? i think someone exploited those extra 5hps in race....

shouldn't we lower it to 300hps?

I'm all for freeing tyres a little more in S3 and still require 1 mandatory pit at a bigger pit window 👍

IIRC the game checks at 305 hp and there's not really a chance to control that drivers keep to 300 exactly. And I think most of us don't care that we get 5 hp more :D

I do actually.

i would say to go lower not higher on hps... we would get even more torque understeer with more hps.

I know the Audi's have the awd advantage, But all work creating gaps gets stripped down even the shortest straight-aways. At this amount of Hp even a short straight is like a mile in these chassis. I'm not sure why the BMW's are at 1400kg, but 1300kg seems perfect for the Audi's. This would make defending are spots easier, But hey we were in the spot light for s1, so I dont mind waiting to s3 to get the next adjustment. eventually all these cars will be even steven by s3 I think. I'm just glad the fastest guy in the room is using this chassis so we can get a legitment idea of this cars true pace since it does have awd. One more thing I found it better to slow cars down by weight than with less hp. Less hp just means you will never see a competitive top-speed while more weight will let you get into the same top mph ball-park, but just take longer to get there for the most part!

So you recommend changing the 4wd cars to 1300kg?
I see that slowing the cars down by weight than with hp works, it was changed for season 2 from season 1.

So we are all recommening changing the 4wd cars to 1300kg?
If so, we are able to make this small change just once :nervous:

i just say that in the twisty section the vectra were 1 sec slower than audi. also we're at 1281kgs at min weight, so if AWD cars get at 1300 we would be even more disadvantaged. they would get -100kgs advantage for no cost, handle better than most of the grid and rocket start... Also audi won a race while we got a 7th and 9th best.

what was the race pace of audi and best laps? compare them to the others and see what i mean.

in any case i'll accept any choice made; when i was "stolen" the last audi spot i knew what to expect... :P another season on the back of the grid with almost no hope for a podium :D

I would say thats fair as it stands theres little point in turning up for tracks like HSR and Monza accidents apart. East was small and twisty the only thing that kept the Audi in the race. The KK hit a 109.4 in the race think i managed a 110.2 convert that difference to a track like Monza and you have a problem.👎

Is there any reason why the Vectra cant have a little help?? My only concern is the regs checking if it gets a bhp boost.:indiff:

Personally I'd say we Keep it to 1400 kg for this season, the main reason being that we can collect data and find out if the car is too dominant or the opposite and yet again change it to S3.

💡 Why not just get it right before S2 started 💡

Why wait till S3????

Hmmm so if a guy drives the nuts off an off the pace car you penalise him for being too fast? How can you collect data from different drivers on how they perform? It should be an individual thing like i keep banging on about.:banghead:

Gedi is spot on just read his post your piddling in the wind again.

The problem is following:

1: lack of public all-are-present tests
2: nobody had been testing all cars and therefore there is a uncertainty of x-seconds

But honestly I don't care about the cars anymore, all I care about is getting this done and doing my job :)

Wait and see, a car can't be superior all around (except the Integra)

I did warn you vectra lads that the vectra is awful. But you guys had no problem with it. You guys had your chance. We had 2 weeks for pre season testing to level cars, and we voice our concerns 1 week into the season? Whats going on lads? 👎

Well fella if you dont care either let Geeky or ask someone else to help level the cars. You say nobody had been testing all cars?? What the hell i and others did and posted the results what waste of time that was then:ill: along with the regs check and grid entry system which was a complete disaster as nobody had a clue what was going on Rolo should have started in pole yet didnt.👎

You take things way too personal :)
Nevertheless we made the same mistake now as we did for S1: apparently not testing enough.

But let me say: currently this Series is on top of my list of things I don't want to think of. Yes, you're just stating your opinion but why not say something positive for once?

In my view, rather than pre-season testing (which didn't really work in S1), it's better to wait a couple of rounds to see if there's a pattern of dominance. The next track might see a different set of results completely... making the Audis quicker doesn't make sense to me, they're far off being the slowest cars. The only issue for me seems to be the Vectras, but on the whole it's a lot more even than S1

By which time its too late...

Maybe the testing wasn't thorough enough then

We all know which cars are quick and which cars are slow, it's just up to Geeky to do anything about it

No maybe about it Rob people tried to help but it did seem to be overlooked imo:indiff: The worry is if things are not competitive people will drift away its inevitable in most series hope thats not the case.:nervous:

I just added the 'maybe' to cut Geeky some slack as there might have been testing going on behind the scenes that I didn't know about

That MIGHT just be the wisest words in the last few pages..

Good god, I feel the need to let you sail your own river and jump abroad before we sink :(

Ignoring feedback then I see... But its too late if its two races.

Thankyou,
I do try, and there have been certain problems with the cars. This is because of how different they are, we have every type which= great range but makes it hard to equalize.
Just stick with it and we sort it out, as I do what everyone wants (like a Drivers & Team association:sly:).
But Thankyou for point these all out :) We will make this championship as fair as we can

Yes. You did. But we already knew, we only accepted it and moved on because that was the hand we were dealt, or for lack of a better term the only car left. And rightly so, it's sh€t. No sooner had s1 finished people were in the s2 thread with the typical "ooh me me me" claiming the 'better' cars. 6 or 7 of us spent a few hours testing a few weeks back to even the field, which solidified the 1200kg fwd limit. So yes, myself and karsten do voice our disappointment but only because of how soul destroying the car is. You should try it. Apologies for the rant but that really rustled my jimmies.

And just to clarify something else I read, this isnt a reflection on geeky himself, he can only finalise what is presented to him. We left the gve test with a fairly close field so he made it stick.
