And just to clarify something else I read, this isnt a reflection on geeky himself, he can only finalise what is presented to him. We left the gve test with a fairly close field so he made it stick.

/rant

Let us see how the whole championship goes, I'm sure the it will be sorted and I think we can all give our support to the Vectras :D

What if (just a thought) we for S3 would allow current BTCC cars and what we (in a public poll) decide on being the 3 most legendary (of course somewhat modern e.g. 90's and later), not-already-in-use BTCC cars? Of course tested and equalled properly on all the tracks that we decide on using?

Honda please.:D

Yes. You did. But we already knew, we only accepted it and moved on because that was the hand we were dealt, or for lack of a better term the only car left. And rightly so, it's sh€t. No sooner had s1 finished people were in the s2 thread with the typical "ooh me me me" claiming the 'better' cars. 6 or 7 of us spent a few hours testing a few weeks back to even the field, which solidified the 1200kg fwd limit. So yes, myself and karsten do voice our disappointment but only because of how soul destroying the car is. You should try it. Apologies for the rant but that really rustled my jimmies.

I completely disagree with what you just said. I voiced my concern regarding the vectra on the 11th july at 3:07pm. To which karsten replied "i've spent lots of hours on the Vectra and same Captainhelmet; i think we won't drop it even if it means another podiumless season after the S60" I brought this point up 9 days before the first race which gave plenty of time for a different car to be tested for you guys to use. And yes I know how soul destroying the car is...

Another car that's not on the permitted list?!

Ok.

I dont understand your comment...We would have taken the vectra off the list and added a seat possibly. All this was possible but you guys did not permit this to happen...

I did warn you vectra lads that the vectra is awful. But you guys had no problem with it. You guys had your chance. We had 2 weeks for pre season testing to level cars, and we voice our concerns 1 week into the season? Whats going on lads? 👎

all the cars were taken, and there's the rule of no duplicate cars beside a team.

so it as alfa or vectra. We tested with vectra and went for it. There WAS NOTHING LEFT:

blame us for being slow in choosing, not anything else.

also i did post what cars looked off, and a suggested list too but nobody bothered to read it.

and we did complain already after the first test.

If the Vectra really s*cks that much I'd say you should get a new car, understand it in the way you would be able to take any car from the list. I'd say that would be fair in this case :)

when was the seat in the list? never saw it.

it was in a WISHlist, along with accord and many other cars.

No, because that would include the Integra ;) :ouch: Season 2 has barely started yet anyway

And lay off the massive letters guys

the point of pre-season was to make cars even and all results were disregarded. it's not a matter of changing cars, but to balance them.

as you know guys i'm hard to be pi553d off, but sometimes it's too much.

the "you could have used seat" when seat was never on the list is ridiculous.

Hold up Hold up....

1. I never said you could have used the seat, what I was saying is that it was a mere possibility if you take the factors of choice and testing into account, on that basis I said it was a "possibility"

2. Its true that the vectra and alfa were left but why didnt you guys voice your concerns then?

3. Im not saying you didnt voice your concerns after testing but I certainly did not see them.

4. Levelling the vectra with the rest is impossible. Weight wise the vectra cant go below 1280 or something like that. And if you add more bhp it will kill every car in the straights

Clue is probably staring everybody in the face the fact the Vectra cant even make the lowest weight should have ment it was crossed off the list in the first place.:indiff:

Exactly!!!!

We could always bring the other FF cars up to the Vectra's weight (???)

The entire idea with the 1200 kg was to at least come closer to the Vectra

Ok I relise now the problem with the Vectra,
We wanted 2012 BTCC cars, and I know the 888 still run Vauxhalls, I may have accidently over looked that the vectras didn't make the 305hp and 1200kg.

We can;
a) allow them to change to a different car on the list
b) change the FF regualtions and the FR and 4wd
c) wait till next season and remove the Vecta
d) replace the Vectras with a car not on the list which would be sutiable for the championship

I will allow everyone to post their thoughts to make a decision, the most people agree with will be the one chosen.

May I bring page 10 (shows as p10 on iphone app anyway) of this thread to your attention.

I personally took the vectra as it appeared to be the last drive available when I joined the s2 thread. I'd rather not have but s2 looked promising.

At some point prior to this it was suggested other cars were to be put in the mix but the concensus was to keep the list as close to the 2012 season roster as possible. We agreed and took the chance.

.....aaaaaaaaaand relax.

Yes, we all took a chance (except from some who kept with the same car).
We ALL wanted a season based on the BTCC
We ALL thought it was ok to run in Season 2, let us relax and see what we can do to keep going in the direction WE (not just me) want to

And I don't know how the s30 faired john :ill: don't think we tried

Well im sure the S1 Volvo with the new regulations would be better on the face of it.

A and D are my votes

How about this. The current alfa and vectra drivers join one of the current teams. 4 drivers in total and there are 4 other teams. BMW AUDI HONDA FOCUS. Therefore we will have 3 drivers per team. I reckon these 4 cars are level.
