@rolo Im gonna wait for everyone else to pick their cars. Once I see 15 on the driver list, thats when I'll pick a car.

Well yeah I know different cars wear differently. You can only go so far when balancing cars of different drivetrains. Tyre wear off all FF drivers are at a disadvantage. This series requires skill but the skill in question is being able to navigate yourself safely up the field. How is it fair if the beemer can go 6 laps in the 1:43's whereas the focus can only do the first 2-3 laps in the 43's.

Still can have a pitstop no problem just leave it to the individual to decide when. Im probably piddling in the wind here though.

Where's geeky? Lol

Different drivetrains was always gonna be a challenge balance wise:indiff: Maybe 3 shorter races instead of the current 2 could work so its not such an issue, but that could lead to some impatient racing.:nervous:

Recommendation: Don't ever!! This will lead to 16 Jason Platos. The Stewards PM inbox will be filled in approximately 5 minutes.

I did this in ITCC Season I. It was funny as hell, but, my god, it was like throwing a kitten in with piranhas.

Without tire wear i would be like the old vettel i think and i dont like him

Old vettel started first and ended first. Barely any racing  . You wont be a vettel since you'll be starting more from the back.

:lol::lol: Was along shot.👍

seems like no tyre wear so far, I will put up an offical voting thing

Thank you very much :)

Incidentally Geeky, is sc61jgw still going to be your team-mate next season, and will you still be Purtek Racing? 👍

I'd like to take the opportunity to present my arguement.

This is from my own testing pre race testing.

Couple weeks back I ran laps around indy road course with my beemer and the focus. Best time in the focus= 1:42.0xx. Best time in the beemer=1:42.4xx. Balanced enough right? Think again. Tyre wear on means 6 laps on average per stint. Now my beemer can do 7-8 laps before dropping into low 1:43's. The focus on the otherhand requires 2-3 laps before dropping into low 1:43's.

Lets do a little bit of maths. Lets assume draft is turned off. Indy road course was 12 laps I believe? Two 6 lap stints between 1:42.4 and 1:42.8. Average lap time per stint =1:42.6.
Time lost to pit stop=40 seconds.

Beemer Total race time=(12*1:42.6) +40 seconds= 21 minutes 11.2 seconds

Focus Total race time=(4*1:42.0)+(8*1:44.0)+40= 21 minutes 20 seconds

1:44 is being generous. Despite this the focus is still 8.8 seconds slower over the race.

You are entitled to your opinion. But please read this and make an informed decision.

Beemer and audi dont even need to pit. They are fully able in going entire race distance on one set...

Has everyone who wants no tyre wear actually voted for it? I know I have, but that leaves johnboy and killa :S

Cant grumble at this my A/Ring test was the same Audi v Focus.:guilty: Still unsure how this would equate to a track like Monza in theory the Audi would close up the deeper you go into the race?:nervous:

Well I guess if the vote is tied in the end, we can work on the split system. If one wins over the other then so be it.

I think personally I would choose Race 2 as the one with tyre wear.
