Just trying to ensure maximum fairness. If something doesn't work we can always step backwards to what went before.

I'd like to take the opportunity to present my arguement.

This is from my own testing pre race testing.

Couple weeks back I ran laps around indy road course with my beemer and the focus. Best time in the focus= 1:42.0xx. Best time in the beemer=1:42.4xx. Balanced enough right? Think again. Tyre wear on means 6 laps on average per stint. Now my beemer can do 7-8 laps before dropping into low 1:43's. The focus on the otherhand requires 2-3 laps before dropping into low 1:43's.

Lets do a little bit of maths. Lets assume draft is turned off. Indy road course was 12 laps I believe? Two 6 lap stints between 1:42.4 and 1:42.8. Average lap time per stint =1:42.6.
Time lost to pit stop=40 seconds.

Beemer Total race time=(12*1:42.6) +40 seconds= 21 minutes 11.2 seconds

Focus Total race time=(4*1:42.0)+(8*1:44.0)+40= 21 minutes 20 seconds

1:44 is being generous. Despite this the focus is still 8.8 seconds slower over the race.

You are entitled to your opinion. But please read this and make an informed decision.

Beemer and audi dont even need to pit. They are fully able in going entire race distance on one set...

Not wanting to start an argument KK but you say the focus drops off after 2-3 laps but give calculations on 2 laps. If it made 3 laps that would make it 4 secs quicker over race distance. Which then puts it on 5ish secs slower over a 12 lap race which is as close as doesn't matter. If i've read it wrong then sorry. From this you may have guessed i voted for tyre wear.

I would alternate the tire wear no tire wear races , one week make it race 1 the following week make it race 2

What you think ?

i voted for tire wear. else we're playing f-zero or burnout.

no real damages, no tire wear... shall we add some koopa shell and mario too?

Ah yes my bad. It should have been 2.5 to take average optimum laps. But bear in mind indy is a track that favours the focus. Imagine the calculations around A/R where there are more turns.

One other point I forgot to mention is that beemer and audi drivers can use much more aggressive setups without having to worry about tyre life. Atm I use camber in region of 1-2. When in reality if I were to use 3-4 I could gain more time. Lower ride height, different spring rate etc. At GVS im gonna experiment this...whatever the majority decide I'll ofcourse respect that, all im doing is pointing out an issue to level everything. Iron everything out now.

Seen there are still 3 spaces left, do you mind posting a lap time of one of the tracks your using?

I'm interested in joining but as a pretty average driver I won't join if I'm miles off the pace.......

If that's cool?

Setup Autumn Ring if you can do a lap between 1m 22 and 1m 25 i would say your fine.👍

Cool,

Will look at the specs and run some laps this afternoon to see where I am.

Thanks

Current drivers get priority in filling the spaces, so if they do run out, would you be happy in being a reserve or a 3rd driver for a team? I can pretty much guarantee that the full field won't turn up every week.
