If the Civic does make it in.....thats definately the car i'll be picking

If I had to switch to an FF car it should be either the civic 04' or the Clio!
But I'll stick with the trusty Beemer for now :D

Seems to be a lot of interest in the civic...should have been in from the start;)

Managed to get a few more laps in at deep forrest......gona be a lot of tyre smoke from here and my front right tyre is taking a hammering:)

To be fair, the '04 Civic will be in - it's a straight swap. There's no question about it.

Once I get the Mazdaspeed Atenza off priesty I can see how it stacks up. If that's good we could always replace the FF version with this 4WD one. Might give the Audi some competition :sly: I appreciate it's a pretty rare car though, which may count against it.

Yeah, about that lol

I don't have it, my bad. I was pretty sure I did tho in pastel yellow but hey. I have the Mazda Atenza Sport which is FF so I may have got mixed up :(

Oh well, never mind, I guess it's not urgent. So, next priority for testing then is to put the 345bhp cars in draft. Where's best to do this? GVE? Or Monza dry? I reckon they'd have most advantage at Monza.

I guess so, I ran laps with the Vectra earlier, didn't quite get to 10.3 bud mid 10s for me. Wasn't as bad as I thought but not as good as the 406.

Didn't try the Nissan but tried the Clio which was again better than I thought....

Can't find the Civic '04 in the UCD. Got the '01 version which is almost the exact same version to my understanding. Can that version be used?

They can't really be split apart on lap times (literally hundredths of a second difference), but if you could find an '04 model it would be preferred. But yeah, don't see why not for now 👍

I think the 04 made more hp in gt4 not sure if thats the same in gt5

Its a great chassis tho , ep

Try to keep things the same for everyone - I've got no problems with your request Julle, I just wonder if others would come along in the future, ask for a slightly different variation and say "well you let other people do it". The championship would start to go every which way.

Thanks Rolo :)
Can see your dilemma. I'm looking for the '04 as of now!
Been through 3 UCD refreshes

Edit: Make that 7 :)

I do have a Clio - I've got one of every car we use. I'll send tomorrow, or whenever I'm allowed, lol 👍

It needs tuning a little more though (no suspension or LSD).

Annoying about that sending limit :grumpy:

Edit: Still looking for the '04 civic :)

I give up... Couldn't find anyone of them :(

Wonder if the Alfa 156 will be competitive? It was dumped before the start of season 1 for being too slow, but with a bit of tuning it might do well.
Love that car!

Love that car!

priesty had an idea which appealed to me.

He suggested we keep the 4 car per manufacturer limit, but open up the car choice so that more than one eligible model (has to be eligible!!!!!) from each manufacturer could be used if you wish.

I have the car list saved in a PM which lists all the eligible cars which there could be. By 'eligible' I mean either it was an actual BTCC car, or is the closest available likeness to one. The list will no doubt be shortened if cars still prove a handful. We can't get in a situation where the checks are ridiculous or simply impractical to do on a Friday.

As for the 156, it's gonna be another of the 345/1200 brigade.

If people want to see the list, then OK, but please please please don't ask me about any more additions. That list covers it all and that's that. If it's not there, it's most likely because I already found it was either too fast, or too slow.

Tested the 156 on DF, but managed only a 1.23.5 with 345 bhp, so I guess it's still out of consideration unfortunately...

Fine idea Rolo, but how many cars are of the same manufacturer have been considered?

It would be easier to just post the list. Remember, this is full and complete, so don't ask for additions! If it's not here, it's either not eligible, or it's too fast or too slow!

Confirmed Season 4 cars in bold.

Alfa Romeo:

👍

The test of the 156 was done with a DS3. I usually use a wheel, so it might be a bit faster.
I wouldn't call the setup perfect, so something might be gained there too.
Overall the car feels very stable, with not too much understeering (does understeer a lot when applying throttle in a bend). Fairly easy on the tires.

If people really are desperate to see the 345/1200 brigade, then I would propose a new 'Class B Cup' within the series for anyone who drives them.

That extended list is only a proposal, for now.

Focus RS is probably the best ff car even though i refuse to admit it because im a Type R guy

You reckon?

It's hard to set up ESP if you weight reduce it to stage 3 as it goes to under 900kgs if I remember correctly.

But yes, it is good and my favourite car (prefer it over the ST)

I'm pretty much the opposite to you! :)
