Well, I guess majority wins!

No windows in the second race, but perhaps a rule that 2 stops are mandatory? At least somewhere in the race, perhaps. Or shall we go with just the 1 mandatory stop? (which is kinda obvious I suppose, cos even the Audis will surely need to pit some time).

If you have no windows then a certain number of stops have to be mandatory .

Remember ffs eat tires and the rwds dont so a rwd could finish the race with no stops while a ff would have to pit .

Thats why i like the window rule , a certain number of mandatory stops would work as well .

I agree with karsten but I understand skengs point. 2 mandatory pits should solve the problem.

Also just chucking an idea in. How about any sports tyre compounds allowed in the enduro? Mix up the strategies a bit...

It's an idea actually, because if we ran just the Softs we'd probably have to pit 3 times or more anyway, because they'd probably only last about 10-15 minutes. We could open it up to use all Sports compounds.

Race 1 would still be Soft only.

Is this endurance series gona be run alongside the current one (i.e. One sprint race and an endurance race) each week?

Might be interested in this.....

2 mandatory stops then - although will be a killer to try and steward....

Just abit

not really anything we can do about it, all you can really suggest is people make a note of when we pit then drop you a message with the laps so you can then check.

not really sure of the lap times for these regs but i'm guessing around 2m 30s so 4 laps in 10mins with race distance around 24laps.

Would guess FF's would be looking to pit between 7-10 then again after a similar amount of time so we maybe even looking at 3 stops.

it shouldn't be to hard to remember when we as individuals pit, if we do we;ll just have to make sure we save the reply and fast forward through it till we pit.

I would suggest a very strong punishment for not pitting at least twice tho.......

A good idea.

Yeah, 2:20s or early 2:30s is my guess. Depends on your tyre. Sprint race should be around 4 laps.

I agree. Race disqualification.

We're planning to do it for Suzuka only

Karsten is planning a separate series he wants to run as well. From what I gather it will run roughly to our regulations, but isn't, I don't think, associated with BTCCOC in any way. I guess this round acts as a taster.

Whoops, I thought that weezy's comment related directly to the BTCC

if you mean the serie i'm planning it's going to use very similar cars with similar rules... soo i'll open the interest check topic if many will be interested in it!

I might be able to come on tonight at some point, but not sure of that one. If you see me then you do, if you don't you don't :P

Monza settings still up in the air. We may be doing what we can tomorrow to level things out to stop the Audis running away with it. Watch this space....

Personally I think dropping the weather down to 50% should suffice. Running a sim now and after 7 minutes surface water is still only 1%. Maybe starting surface water should be bumped to 10 or 20% ?

It takes much longer to wet the track and means the FF guys have more of a chance. Audis lack in straight line and I'm doing slower laps in the dry than the Focuses.

Track may never be fully wet... but technically it is raining, right?

Sounds good .

I tested after you left weather 75 and water level 20 and the rain stopped and the water level was decreasing .

We will never get it exactly how we want but its good we are testing and learning more about it.

Curiously, when I put surface water up to 10%, the water level rise is more rapid. Have gone up 3% in two minutes

Perhaps keeping it at 0% would be better?

As you say skeng, this is a pretty inexact science and will probably throw a spanner in the works somewhere!

Start at 0 because of checks and so ,gives us some time

Yeah, having done a few sims now at 50/0/0, the surface water rise is completely unpredictable at 50% weather. Had the one I mentioned just now, and another one that's risen 6% in 2 minutes. Completely random it seems.

Have to say, if the Audi is dropped for S4, wet races will become a hell of a lot simpler to manage!

I think it's safest to say 50% Weather, 0% Surface Water, 0% Weather Changeability.
